USA nGT: Monza

Got pole and a good start but was taken out hard into turn 1. Suspension problem meant i could not carry on.

Is there anything worse than knocking the polesitter out of the race at the start? Believe me ... there is ... when that polesitter is also your teammate. :-(

I had a great start from 6th and moved to the front on my way to T1. Then I hit the brakes .... only .... my left foot was still on the clutch. And you can't break with that at all. The result was a disaster for my teammate John and probably for others too. I would like to apologies to all who got into trouble by my stupidity and specially to John.

Better leave it to that. :-(

I am so sorry to who ever I punted on lap 4 before the last chicane. I was too busy watching the great battle between the 3 cars in front of me and missed my brake point...slid...bam. and then looking for a spot to re-enter, found a big gap and crossed, but then noticed cars spinning everywhere...pretty sure I caused that too even though no one hit me...at this point I just hit escape. Congrats to the podium

I had a suprising qualy. I wasn't expecting to be fighting for 10th! Good job everyone!

I had another really good race only to have it thrown away in the pits. I j u s t c o u l d n ' t g e t t h e c a r refired! I pitted in 1st with a 23s lead. I took no tires and a splash of fuel by the time Tristan went by to retake the lead. Garry pitted behind me in second at the time. He pitted and left while I was still trying to restart! I was finish my pit before he stopped. Dang it all!
Oh well, finished decently at least.

Got taken out twice, 2nd time resulted in a stop & go.
Some poor driving in both S6 races.

That was fun! Had lots of close racing with a few different drivers. I was really swearing at myself when I botched my pitstop, though. Cost me about 20 seconds. Ouch. Lost 8th place by 8 hundredths as I did the old slingshot out of George's slipstream.

Congrats to 1,2 and 3. My race was pretty good. Was punted coming onto the back straight on lap 4 then again at the end of the straight. Oh well, I think the person who punted me coming onto the back straight was lagging and might not have known ;). Good race despite the bumps :P

Qualy went well with a P5
Race, started off with the hectic T1, I went into this corner slow to avoid the carnage that ensued. Had many great battles especially with John Muller, upon exit of T1 he clipped my front, I apologize John, I waited for you return to track and we battled many more laps, I got a run on you down the front you drifted to the left entering the braking zone then moved back to the right as i moved to the left and we touched, It didn't look like anything happened to your car so i was glad for that, I waited again and we continued. I pit in P11, I altered my strategy and did what i needed to do, well not everything but...exited the pit in P7 when after all pits were complete I was P6 with Daniel Montour in P5, That was some of the most intense racing I have had in quite some time, there was great give and take, I get P5 then give it back then pull off the pass and give it back but what a great run there Daniel.

Finally, I want to congratulate all the Drivers for Team Zachary Hope, well done finish by every driver for a truly worthy cause.

Lap 3 Nils was coming back onto the track from the gravel at Ascari, probably checked left and saw an empty track (not being able to see around the corner), and there were actually 3 cars bearing down on him. I came around the corner, my rear wheels sliding slightly out, I avoid hitting him and I instead hit the wall, spun around and was hit by Don head-on, sorry dude, and he was then hit by Ralph, and pushed into the wall in front of Nils. Chris, Barry and Robert then made it thru unscathed. Nils escaped out. Don then re-entered the track and George came flying through the corner, managing to make it through fine as well. I attempted to make it back to the pit but the car us just undrivable. I might of been able to make it back to the pit eventually, but now was stuck in the gravel pit of Parabolica, it would've been a huge, huge time loss. So I didn't even try. End of race for me. I'm glad to see the rest of you guys went on to finish the race.

Somewhat uneventful race, but I will take it time and time again.

Qaulied about as well as I could hope in the little Ferrari. Race started and once again turn one was a cornucopia of carnage. Some how, Tristan, John Mueller and myself In that order) all managed to squeeze through unscathed. So it is the three of us pulling a small gap to the rest of the field as they all try to figure out how much damage they may have. I eventually get a run on John after the 2nd Lesmo for second and I then put my head down and try to hang with Tristan. No can do, he and the mighty Porsche are too fast for me. Things got interesting after the pitstop though. I came in one lap earlier than Tristan, he had about a 7 or 8 second lead when I pitted. I had a decent pitstop, came around on my out lap and there is Tristan exiting the pits. I zoomed past him at pit exit. WHAT!!! How did I pick up 8 seconds?!?! Well cool, I knew that after everyone else cycled through, I would be the leader! YA FOR ME!!! I also knew that it would be most impossible for me to keep Tristan behind me, he was just too quick. I drove as smooth as I could concentrating on corner exit speed. We came up on some 2 cars to lap them going into the first chicane. I knew Tristan was going to try and get a run off the chicane and use the lapped cars as a pick (I would), well we go into the first chicane and the two cars in front of me go WAY slower through the chicane than I anticipated so I had to slow dramatically, and I am sure this caught Tirstan by surprise as well. He ever so slightly touched me and around I went. Not his fault, I know he was right on my bumper looking for a good exit. Well he was nice enough to wait for me, I didnt expect him too, so a very nice gesture. It didnt take him long to get around me at Ascari though. Went through the entire chicane side by side, without touching. Great clean driving Tristan. In hindsight, I should have pushed you out into the gravel and gone on for an easy win!! LOL! ;-)

Grat's to me my teammate Garry for a podium in his little Ferrari! We gave her all she could give, but the mighty Porsche is too strong. It was fun though!
