F3 Masters - Sprint

Changed setup a bit after Feature race and that was a mistake as what little driveability I had vanished. Stumped at start while trying to let people past and spun twice during the race.

EDIT: F3s were a one-timer as I cannot even remember when I last drove these. I never felt comfortable with these cars and definitely did not want to start from pole for race 2 and possibly collect half the field with me in first few corners.

This one was even more hilarious. Knocked off my front wing 2 times, LOL, and then speeded in pitlane 2 times, LMAO, that's 4 pitstops. :D

Drove 46.7 in race and the way car handled it could've been 46 flat had my brain, in cooperation with arms and legs, functioned normally.

Well i'm happy i finally won one these F3 races. I had the Pole in race 1 but false started and lost tons of time. in the second race i started 4th but got 2nd right away and followed Aubrey for the next half of the race. I finally got a run on him down the back straight. he took the defencive inside line, so i took the outside line. some how it worked. i lead the rest of the way but Pete was only a few seconds behind ready to take the lead in case i made a mistake. great close racing everyone, this was the most intense and fun race in the F3's i've had.

Had an almost brilliant launch on this one, if I do say so myself, then threw it away in Turn 2.

After Johan pulled over on the formation lap I figured he wasn't kidding about not wanting to be up front on the start, so lining up behind him I planned to shoot to his outside on the launch. I did get a little too much backend spin in doing so, but managed to still come away as planned.

Then as we left Turn 1, I was assessing where I was and who was around me and missed my turn-in for that righthanded, off-camber downhill sequence. Rolled through the grass and came back on track in eighth.

Several drivers were kind enough to spin out of the way, and I was soon back up fifth, where I ran right up to the final lap. I was chasing Aubrey to be in position for fourth should the opportunity present itself, and there it was ...

Aubrey slid on the kerbing exiting Turn 1, cocking his nose to the other side of the track as he was coming back on. Last lap, and the snap decision was to keep the high side and go ... But Aubrey collected his car on the gray stuff and pulled back tight to the high line. At this point my closing speed was close to 30mph, however, and I pushed him right back into the grass.

Neither of us lost any parts, so I'll simultaneously say "Good save!" and "Ha! See what you get for it?" :-D

We've had some really fun runs in these cars, and today produced two more.

Started 6th on the reverse grid and once again made it up to 3rd off the line, this time behind Aubrey & David. Fun to watch that battle, which David eventually got the best of. A couple of laps later I got a run on Aubrey down the front stretch. A bit messy and maybe some small contact (sorry), but I scrambled by at T1. He almost got his revenge a few laps later at the same spot when I had to lift in traffic, and he came screaming up the inside with everyting locked up! Luckily I saw it coming & stayed wide!
I could just about stay with David, but could get nowhere near close enough to have a go until eventually I lost contact with him through traffic and instead had to worry about Tim coming up behind. Here we go again! With 3 laps to go I made a small error & he took advantage. My turn to scare the crap out of him for a change! Final lap, onto the back-stretch & Tim runs a little wide onto the grass, so I take the advantage right back again!!!
Fun races with these little cars, maybe I'll have another go sometime.

well after first race i switched to dfp for this one lol and its official g25 is faster lol.
