Good thing this poor choice in tracks did not affect the outcome of either championship. Great season and looking forward to season 7!

Dissapointing. Shame, I was having a great time on this track, spent a lot of time practicing on it, and didn't make it even 1/4 of the way through. I had a blast with it before it at least, but man. Got caught up in someone's spin through the mountains early on, which is fine, figured it would have happened and didn't leave much damage, but then two laps later backed it into a wall, lost the rear spoiler, then on the last turn before getting to the pits took it a little too fast and ended my day.
Its been a great year though. Ready to start the next season soon, put these last few starts behind, and try out some of the other series. These cars are great though, have fallen in love with them after just two races. Congrats to Will as well, at least one of us was able to finish this race.

Still upset about this one, was really looking forward to it. But at least in a few hours I got PSU kicking ass in the Valero Bowl tonight, go Lions.

Well what can I say finished 4th and brought home 4th for the final driver and team standings. Pretty good race. Hate to see all the DNFs but I knew after practicing last week that it was going to be that way. Pinball alley was a major pain. I had a lot of fun watching everyone go through pinball alley during practice. I didn't Qual all that well but I think it actually helped my out a whole lot. Starting at the back I didn't really see all that much action or cars. But my plan was to just take it easy and let things work themselves out. About half way through I was already up in the top 10 overall. Actually had a fun time in a weird kind of way at this crazy track. Hope we don't see this one again for a very long time.

Oh congrats to the winners and the champions.

All I can say is that I'm totally disgusted with myself.
After getting into third very early, I slipped just a bit, hit the concrete hay bails twice & killed the car.
No accounting for stupidity, I guess. ;)

First, 'grats to Sam M. and Tomasz on their wins and everyone who survived this track.

Also 'grats to Chris on a dominant season championship in ZR and to Simon for his championship in the H6 class.

As for my race...

Well, nothing on the line here except fun, since Chris only had to show up to take the championship.

The Qual session started badly when i encountered debris in pin-ball alley and had to pit for a tire change on my second timed lap (i think). Luckily, i'd anticipated such a possibility and had a pitstop planned for only 10L of fuel, otherwise i probably would have spent the rest of the session taking on 90L.

Eventually got a decent run in that placed me on the grid 2nd in class, with a time a full 1 second off my full-fuel practice pace.

Jon was in the same lane two cars up, after a track record Q session (nice lap Jon!). Unfortunately, he got too much wheel spin at the start and i was able to sneak by on the inside to take the class lead.

I say "unfortunately" because i found myself behind Fernando's H6, rather than him as we started down the mountain. I also had Sam Michaels' H6 all over my rear bumper, and as we got to the brake point, it looked like Fernando pushed a bit under braking and had to slow much more than i think he planned -- i know it was far more than i expected -- and i tried to slow as much as i could while holding a very precarious car balance. But i locked up a bit and pushed into Fernando, ruining his outing and causing a lot of mayhem behind.

I can see that Chris, Richard, Tomasz and my brother were all caught up in that one error.

I appologize to all, beginning with and especially to Fernando, then Chris and Richard who retired early, one assumes due to the after effects of my error. My brother Mike pressed on and managed to finish in spite of this less than auspicious beginning.

As for the rest of my race, after serving my drive-thru (which is, i believe, only the second one i've collected)...

Still thinking about how i screwed up, i managed to put myself into the guardrail on lap 7 (second low point), but damage was not significant. Then on lap 14 i somehow managed to work my way thru the debris and thread a needle between Nathan Stephens and Mike Arn, who were both bouncing wildly off the armco (high point -- for me, that is).

Spent the last part of the race trying to catch up to William Mize, then was lucky to be close enough to capitalize when he got a bit wide and into the grass at the top of the mountain.

Aside from my huge gaffe, racing this track was more fun that i thought it was going to be.

I'll firstly congratulate all that finished, well done to you all. It was a very though race.

I hadn't practiced here at all until i got in the server 5mins to go of practice. Luckily i put in my Lime Rock Setup, altered the gears and they seemed to work fine, but i kept spinning, mainly due to not having driven the track and trying too hard. So i put full wing on the Howston, softened the suspension right off and luckily for Qualy it worked.

Race started well, in 2nd and Simon got it wrong in Pinball i think it was when we came up to a backmarker. A few times i slowed behind backmarkers and this allowed Eldridge to catch me up and pass me for the lead once. I knew i'd struggle to get back past then, and coming into the final corner once he made a mistake so i had to go for it. It was abit tight into the first corner, but i came out in first only to mess it up on the same / next lap (can't remember which). Then he got back infront and after a few hard fought laps he made a mistake again in the last corner and i took the lead, not sure what happened but he ended up not finishing which is sad after such a good race.

On the penultimate lap i got it wrong and knocked my front bumper off so it was a slow and steady last lap for me, i was quite disapointed to knock it off as i'd done so well not to hit anything up to that point.

First of all apologies to Mike Arn for my attempts of passing - you were driving a little slower than I expected and twice I almost made you spin. I could see that when I bumped you 2nd time it completely put you out of your driving line and ended pretty badly for you. Sorry.

Barret: I made through that 1st lap mayhem only with some scratches on my paint job, so as far as I'm concerned nothing bad happened.

The race itself: I tried to beat Chris in qual but I tried a little to hard and in the end I was placed on the grid as last. It actually turned out to be a good thing - on the first lap I had enough time to slow down before 'pinball action' and avoid any damage.
I think that most of ZR cars were either eliminated or damaged in this accident (I was amazed to see Chris drive out of this as if nothing happened - I can remember passing him as he was literally flying all over the place (didn't recognize it was him then) and thinking - "wow, in real life he'd be probably dead after hitting that rock like that" ;) ).

After getting through destruction derby zone all I had to do was to get to the finish in one piece. My victory is unexpected and undeserved but it's still nice to have it. :P
