Euro Rhez: Toban #1

Great race where i just kinda held in 6th and watched some great battles, these things are wicked fun, almost as good as the legends i used to race. Wd to podium

absolutley awesome race tonight i loved every minute of it. Got the blood pumping abit first race i quallied 8th if i remember and finished 8th.

Lots and lots of fun, the more regular track seemed to telescope the field compared to Mosport. Qualifying for Race 1 was a disaster, Dmitry blocked me on my first lap and took me out on my second, then Stuart rejoined the track infront of me in my 3rd lap, eventually got in a half decent lap but was 0.3 off my PB and in 3rd. Oh well...
The Race 1 start was a precursor to the rest of the meeting... crazy! Dmitry got a magic start and lept from 4th through the front row and to the lead, while I got a good one and beat Joachim around T1. Dmitry wasn't quite as fast as me, Wyatt or Joe, and eventually Wyatt muscled passed, and I did the same a corner or two later. Once I'd lost Dmitry, I hunted down Wyatt, and passed him into T8 (banked right hander). From there I defended like crazy and brought it home for a win! Great stuff! :D

Race 2 qualifying was perfect, I got 6 clean laps and got a PB, pole, and lap record on my last one.
Race 2 started well, I got a small break, but that didnt last long, and soon I had Wyatt on my tail. Going into T1 on lap 3, I pulled right over to defend my line, but Wyatt used a bit of the grass to get a two inch overlap on the inside and tagged me going into the corner (fair enough, I supposed I could have defended a little harder). That sent me into the grass, but I recovered and only lost 3 seconds, but two positions. I spent the rest of the race hunting them down, only to catch them on the last lap. Ali dived inside Wyatt at T8 and knocked him off, which jumped me to 2nd right on Ali' bumper. Ali defended the final chicane, but left me a car's width which I took with open arms, outbraked him, scraped down the inside and took the lead! Victory #2 :D

Great racing guys, hard but fair. I think we all gave as good as we got. I hope its as good next time ;-)

A fun 2 races for me, although disaterous. On race 1 my quali was terrible, i was over a second of my best consistent pace which is bad. I waas up towards tenth when there was a large crash ahead of me, and trying to miss it i burried my lovely rhez into a brick wall, backwards. I had a ebtn real axle and my rear wing ws gone, everytime i went through t1 i was sideways lol. I think i should have had 14th or 15th, but on the last 2 lpas i lost 6th gear, and i instantly lost out. Still great fun having battles with everyone!

Rcae 2 was just as bad, terrible qualifying, was battling for about 14th i think but was quite sloppy and still didnt even get near my pb. I was only doing 1:17's, and as my best lap was a 1:16.3 this evening thats quite bad to know lol. Again i lost 6th gear on tha last 2 laps, which leads me to believe someone hired a McLaren machanic to coma and sabotage my gearbox ;-)

Seems like everyones posting both races here lol so i'll put race 2 here.

Unreal fun, crazy end and just everything you could want in a race. Got a crap start and wyatt got through. To my shock i was keeping up with two of who i think are just the best this leagues got. Was bump drafting up the straights which was cool. From my view wyatt was up the inside but then didnt wanna give Scott any room at all :S I followed him and i was as shocked as anyone that i was keeping up. I knew there was two corners i was quicker on and on the last lap i went for a move on one of them, realised it wasnt gonna work and tried to pull out of it. Unfortunatly i tapped wyatt wide and then i knew scott would have the run and i didnt wanna win like that to be honest so left and gap which scott took with both hands lol :) and forced his way through for a good win.

I love it when guys who are quick, very quick think that nothing bad can ever happen to them. Nice rant at the end wyatt, for once you didnt win and i'm sure you'll get loads more wins but theres never need for that, we all do this for fun and why the hell would i take you out on purpose :S

Anyways cheers to Tim for bringing these cars back, this was my first race in these cars and I love them :)

Gap from 2nd to 6th: 0.8 Secs. It's there something more to say?

Gonna keep it short. Earned my first R2P pole in Race 1 here, had an pretty decent car to do fast times in. However, I messed up the start and went back to 4th. Because I had no straight-line speed whatsoever I couldnt manage any better then that, altho it was interesting to watch the front battles.

Race 2 was a disaster. Went waaay back in the field and only tried a creative, very optimistic move on a poor fella out there, which I apoligise for :( .

Still tho, had alot of fun :)
