USA Rhez: Toban #1

This is fun....First I want to thank Wyatt for sharing his setup...That is nice of you m8!....I entered the race thinking it was practice and I was in the middle of the q session...Sorry for the few words about the brakes...Anyways, I only did one lap and put me in 26th. position....I used Race 1 to get used to it and I passed 11 cars finishing in 15th...

That was fun!

Ok, but not great. A few tenths off my best in practice.

Race:
I double shifted on the start. Third is not great for a quick launch. In turn one, Michael Bush had spun and it looked like he was going to roll "out" towards the middle of the track, as I tried to go inside of him, his car finished its spin and rolled "in"... right in front of me. Hopefully I didn't bust up your car too much, Michael.

On lap two I got by Pete Schlough on the end of the back straight. Nice racing, you gave me room, and I was going to have to give you room in the following corner, but you dropped back.

From then on I was chasing Brian Schrock, but I couldn't close the gap.

Man, I love these cars.

Grats to my team mate Tim's best finish. Only his 4th Race2Play race, finishing 9th in the 2nd heat.

I am not sure what went wrong, but I could not get my car near the mid 16's I was running in off-line practices, and my fuel consumption seemed greater also.

Got a great start and someone is front did not get off the line well at all allowing me up a few places. The competition was tough but almost fair, exactly the way I like it. Once I had gotten clear of everyone I put my head down and tried to break away, which I did successfully. Until 3 laps to go my low fuel light came on, I focused so much on that, the guy behind me really caught up.

Sorry for missing this race guys and sorry to anyone that was on the waiting list and didnt get in because I didnt remove myself from the two Rhez races. My mother got admitted to the hospital yesterday and I did not have access to a computer until I got home which was well after the races. Sorry again.

Worst night out in a while. Never could find any speed here, but would have finished both races in much better shape if not for late-race agricultural excursions in both. Am enjoying this series, tho - my first experience with any touring car, and first visits to these tracks.

As far as I am concerned, if all I raced were these races I would be Happy.

This Race I was going back and forth with Omar a bit until I went wide in the 1st turn. Lost 5 places in a heartbeat.

Very happy with myself, though. Dropped 2 seconds/lap from the afternoon race.

I like everything about this series. The 2 race format is great. Mess up the first race and you still have hope. And people are posting some nice screenshots. People need to make some more skins for this series, keep the screenshots interesting.

That was the most fun I've had racing, period. I got a great start and jumped into 3rd going into T1. Starting lap 2, I was surprised to see Wyatt slide off at T1 putting me at my highest racing position ever! My heart started thumping when I realized I was in 2nd and 1st place was right in front of me! "I might actually be able to win this thing!". Chris Melton was providing serious pressure behind me, and the next 7 laps had us changing positions several times! Just before the last lap, i got in the grass a little and had to check up before the chicane, allowing Chris and David to slide by (2nd to 4th, arrgh). Final lap, I managed to get my nose inside Chris and we were door to door around a few turns, but I just couldn't make it stick. Coming around the last turn, I had a good run and a good push from a hard charging Tom Studans, but it wasn't enough. The screenshots show the action :) I missed the podium by 0.07 seconds. I guess my car wasn't configured right, was using a too-fast motor. Oops :\ that's bad.

But was so much fun anyway, I didn't deserve this one but got stuck with it really. Wyatt was WAY faster than me, and I "botched" the start, in 2nd gear, and somehow made it work. Wyatt almost got me into turn 1, I was letting him go because I knew I had nothing for him, and he shot off the track. I inheireted the lead and everyone behind me was so caught up in their battles I just never got caught. Thanks for the fun racing guys, sorry about the mis-config. Tim said it didn't help much at all, I guess...
