GTC76 Hockenheim

First of, I don't know why, again, server didn't have all the cars selectable (CSL, my pick, was missing)? I wasn't able to join server earlier, and there was no point mentioning it 2 min before the qualifying session.

Also, I could swear event info page on R2P said 25 laps, not 30. But I'm not completely sure about that.

Qualifying:
Qualified 3rd, not bad considering I haven't driven Corvette at all prior to the race, as I thought of driving CSL. I had some old setup, so I put that one on, turned out to be OK.

Race:
Got of to a nice start, even lead the race, till the hairpin. :) Not

I was sitting in a nice 5th place, when I suddenly, around lap 9, saw it says "Lap 9/30". As I thought race is 25 laps that was naturally very unpleasant surprise. :|

That lost me 2 positions in the end, had it been bigger attendance it would loose me even more.

I hoped to win here cos other fast guys didn't have enough points to buy Pantera. Although next time I have to ride MKII, I'm glad that my calculations worked today. Tried 906 also during preparations, but for me it's 3 seconds slower, so Panty was my only choice.

Damn, I think I have proven something today ;D

Qual was as good as possible. Way faster than in practice. I was never so relaxed and focused. Absolutley nothing could stop me :)

One of the best races! Ever!

Insane start. I lost a few positions and was behind Tom. Was following him and eventually trying to push some pressure on :) It worked LOL. I tried concentraiting as much as possible. Still, I went too wide and Tom took me again. Again, few inches behind, and seeing him drive a bit nervously I was waiting for him to make a mistake. Got him on the hairpin. Was pretty tight as I really had to brake late and still focus on not taking the line too much. He almost got me on the turn exit but I didn't let it :P

Next part was just trying to focus on driving consistently, but Kevin in his Pantera was too fast.

A podium in the end, which I am very proud of. One of the best races!

Grats Oleg, Kevin, and Tom for sharing some nice moments :)

PS: I'd kill for this car. It's amazing what can you(me :P) squeeze out of it!

Glen, you drove Escort.

I had a great race, but a worst qual session does not exist. I did 4 hot laps and spun on all 4 laps. Started 11th and got a good start because of the Pantera's great power. I got behind Enis and was faster, but every time I passed him a few turns later I would do the stupidest of mistakes and I would have to catch back up and make a pass again. I finally got it to stick and just started to cruise and my lap times then dropped. I switched my gauge to race laps and never noticed how good my laps were till I checked. I could see my pit board's gap going down then I started to see 2nd and 3rd we having a fierce fight. Was able to get by Tom pretty quickly, but by that time Joco had a nice gap. Didn't think I could catch him but he did a few mistakes on 1 lap and I was on his bumper. Got by him at the hairpin again because of brute hp. Oleg was too far with too little time to go so I slowed just a bit, and the last sector I took it slowly not to make mistakes, but I did in the last turn of the race and Joco almost passed me hehehe. Congrats to Oleg and Joco on a great race.

Great race, it love this series! Joco, that was an awesome race and a beautiful pass, you defended that like a champion after you put it inside. My car was no where near podium quality, as you saw I'm sure. I did go 2 seconds faster in the race than in quali, so I was happy with that, but my tires went off after a long battle with Joco. My big heavy 911 versus his little spec of a 906 was no contest. After that, I was a little disappointed, Kevin just drove by on the straight and was gone. I don't like racing against those Panteras, but oh well. Probably just because I can't drive one quickly :p

Either way, good job Oleg, Kevin, and Joco on the great drives.
