The IGR Birmingham 170k

Extremely happy that none of the OTHR cars got disco as it has been tormenting us too much lately, especially Garry-san. Let's hope our luck has turned around.

Started from pole and managed to build up gap to Mr Mueller slowly lap by lap and about doubled it when pitting. Clean racing everywhere as far as I can tell, few hairy situations with a Z3 backing to track in the last kinks and a three car pile-up in T4 or so. Very happy with the outcome although 60 minutes fearing for a disco is a bit too much for an old man.

Looking forward to the next round at Imola.

20 minutes to go, staring at a podium finish... only to realize that my pit stop fuel calculation was going to be short. I tried and tried to short-shift and run fuel economy, but it wasn't going to happen.

I knew another pit stop for a splash of fuel would put me hopelessly last, so my determination and concentration just went out the window. Looped it a few times, but who cares? The outcome was predetermined once I realized there wasn't enough fuel left for me to even stretch it out.

So, so, so disappointing. Wish the track makers would stop entering random fucking numbers when they put the fuel calculations into the game.

Craig, well.... what can I say. That was fun stuff. sucks you lost it onto the front stretch at the end and you REALLY didn't have to give me that spot back after the corkscrew.

Excellent track. Just wished I had more time on it. Very busy weekend here in the states and no time to brush up on it. And NO DISCOES!!!! WooHooo!

Just didn't spend the usual amount of time for this one to sort out tyre wear,fuel strategy.I usually run a full tank for the 1st stint,but i was a little concerned about tyre wear,so decided to split the stints.I thought i had everything worked out,but to my horror,fuel warning came on in lap17.So at pitstop i had to add quite a bit more fuel and changed tyres.WTF is with that auto pit limiter,does it come on too early because my in lap was far slower than anyone else.Normally i have to hit assigned button to turn on pit limiter.

Great race! Great track! I just couldn't catch G2 top3 drivers, they were apparently gone mad. Grats to them and G3 top3.

Sorry for not being there for the race even though I had already qualified. I was urged to leave, nothing serious.

I would have really liked to race here again after yesterday's engine failure right 3 minutes before the end. Maybe next season.

Totally blew it. This would have been my first race in a year and I thought today was the 23rd. Too much family activity to keep track of everything lol. Great I had a bullet for a car too. Dumb mistake on my part. Looks like you all had a great race. Can't believe I missed out!!

I want to say sorry to Barry for giving him a bit of a tap in the middle of the corkscrew - I had the brakes locked up but just wasn't enough, sorry again Barry. We were in the middle of some savage laps up to that point, great stuff! It would have been fun to run like that till the end.

Craig! I was only a second slower than you, am I getting faster, or are you getting older!!! LoL

It was quite a sight to be battling with Barry and then coming up to Johnny's fireball of a Viper, man, hope your OK Johnny! LoL

That was a lot of fun guyz, can hardly wait for the next one. : )
