The race was fun while it lasted, crashed out early because I accidentally left cell phone on and it kept ringing non stop so I looked away for a sec and that was enough to end race

My first time in the BMW like, ever, and I decided not to test much because I dislike the track, and the car felt easy to drive in the few laps I did at Oschers a year or so ago.
The wet qualifying was interesting, seems everyone went for different tyres! I guess inters or hard wets were best, so of course I went for slicks! Ended up 3rd though so I was happy with that.
The race started well enough, I kept behind Kent for the first 30 mins or so just feeling my way into things. Eventually I got into my stride and Kent graciously let me through, and I set sail (not to catch Janko, that ship had sailed, but to consolidate 2nd). Anyway, long story short, I drove around on my own for a while and eventually Kent came out of the pits infront of me. I thought "Sh!t! He must be on a 2 stopper!" then I noticed he was 17th and I was 15th, so I guess he lost a lot of time somewhere (I think he mentioned a speeding penalty or something). Anyway, I had a little pace over Janko at that point, but chipping into a 15 second lead 0.2 at a time with only 25 minutes to go wasnt going to cut it, so I relaxed and just let the race come to an end. If Janko was going to make a mistake big enough for me to take the lead, it wouldnt matter if I was 10 or 15 seconds behind him when it happened. Which it didnt. Well done Janko!

Disco early on in the race for me, but I didnt have much pace today anyway.

Qualy was bad - I was so used to not having race, I didn't even pay attention to the weather - lesson learned.

Race - the first stint was unbelievable! There was a long train of cars battling it out for somewhere between 7th-13th. All of the cars seemed to be black - strange. That was fantastic! I had a couple of incidents with Sam and George. Sorry Sam - I don't know what happened. I was holding my line as tight as possible when you went shooting off the track! George - I tapped you as you got loose or braked early. Sorry m8 - nothing intentional on either event. That's a bad way to introduce myself to the series.

My middle stint was as if everyone had left the track! I passed a few G2 cars along the way and that was it - running around in 11th (I think)

The last stint started the same as the second. Then I noticed my oil getting too hot! Oh no! I started short shifting and wound up running my best laps of the race. I reeled in my teamy, Dennis, near the end and collected 9th.

Was a good qual for me... i did a lap with hard wets, and was good enough for pole.

At start of race i drove away from 2nd place battle and never looked back. Had some nice action while lapping or beeing lapped, even a time when both those things happened in same turn, T1... that was very exciting! Have to say SRY to Dan, i hit him once in end of T1 while lapping him...

Hope i have more races like this in this season, but im thinking Scott and Kent will not let me have it that easy. :)

Johan, I was glad seeing you online, hopefully this wont discourage you to run again. After all, you ARE disco king.

Qualifying:
I qualified 7th, wasn't really good, and there was a lot more time to be found. On my last lap I was much faster but coming into 3rd sector car started stuttering, no fuel.

Race:
It was pretty uneventful. Followed Conor for the whole stint, overtook him in the pits. Rest of the race was pretty much trying to drive as smoothly as possible.

At the end of the race, last 10 laps, Krue was charging! I dunno where you've been all race Krue? Anyway, I had 14 seconds with 10 laps to go, and drove a bit conservatively.

Drove a mistake free race, which is not easiest task in MC12.

Overall I was at least 0.5s per lap slower than in Ferrari 575, more likely 0.7s to 1s a lap.

Nuno did a fantastic job! Podium finish, and 25 seconds ahead of me at the end means I have some serious work to do to bridge the gap to him. That's the only way season will be successful for me, if I get much closer to Nuno, because we don't stand a chance in fight against Lambos, 575's and Saleens.

Real man drive Maserati because they have the longest.

I have been extrememly busy lately and did not spend more than a hour preparing for this event. I knew the BMW's had a quite an advantage here so I set my goal at a top 5.

Qual was damp and I took inters, not a great lap but good enough for 2nd on the grid.

Race started and right away Janko drove away for me and Scott. I drove a controlled pace knowing that tires late in the stint would be intersting. Finally late in the stint Scott joined me and I just flashed him past. My tires were already wearing and I saw no point in trying to hold him up.

I pitted around lap 22 thinking this was a 72+ lap race :( Planning a 2 stop event. Came out of the pit stop exchange with 13 second lead over Janko. As my second stop neared Janko caught me and got a easy pass as I drove it off the track :(.

This is when my race went from decent to shit.

As I enter the pit lane for my second stop the rear started to come around and I gassed it to save it. Well that sent me flying through the lights and I glanced to my speedo and saw I was about 90+ kph and knew this race just went out the window.

Exited to be told I had to do a stop and go, served my penalty and found myself well down.

Drove it to teh finish which, much to my surprise came about 7 laps early :(

Guess I better be better prepared for next race.

I'd just like to say how great it was to see a nearly full field, and a great variety of cars (9 different cars, as opposed to Monza last season with 8 cars). I think changing nGT to G2 was a brilliant move (now if only Janko would switch to SEAT... :P)

I hope so see at least 25 drivers next race, if not more (Sam will be back for one...)

Absolutely terrible race. This track is...wow...just awful. Every car I try here drives like crap...just can't get this place working for me. Its boring, its abrasive, and it is just too long...gah!

Anyway, the race started off okay. I was able to keep up with Pete and Joco for a while, and then the car fell off. Right before the pit stop, Enis was right on me. While in my stall, a black Ferrari parked right in front of me and didn't give me a lot of room to get out, but I thought I could get out anyway. Nope...threw the car in first, dropped the clutch and immediately slammed into the Ferrari. So I lost a lot of time off of that and gave Enis postion.

Now I was all alone in 7th. Just cruised around and every lap got more boring and tedious. Thankfully, stops came again and this pitstop was quite quick and the only thing out of the race that was a positive. I gained quite a bit of time on the guys in front of me, but couldn't do much with it as the car quickly went to hell again. From there, I just lost total interest in the race and half-assed it for a bit. Eventually Sam, who was behind me, got by after I went off. A few laps later going up the big hill, the engine blew. I saw it coming as I was watching my telemetry but nonetheless...it was a fitting end.
