Looks like a re-install is in order...DAMN. Keeps crashing to desktop. Congrats to winners.

Until Nuno gets back I won't be driving GTI. I'm not having fun thus decision is logical.

You're not the only one Barry. I crashed out in practice and never got in again. Must have been something outthere that caused it.

Hmmm... I'll try to reduce what I say, because I'm pretty angry... it was discussed between a few of us in practice how difficult this track would be between GTs and G2s, and how certain corners should be taken with particular care... it seems certain others didn't have such common sense...

Quali was not great... I had another 0.6 in my time but Sam decided to talk to me half way around the lap and I screwed up, didn't get another chance before the session ended, so Janko got pole.
At the start my med-hards just wouldn't work, and Janko pulled away. While being lapped, a couple of GT guys were a bit over zealous and caused me to cut twice. Then after my stop, Joco made a ridiculous move on Kent going into the first chicane and they went off, then I had to cut in avoidance: stop and go. That lost me any chance of catching Janko, who I was gaining on. Then I cut again while angry after the stop and go which bought me another one. I came out 10 seconds ahead of Kent but was still quicker than him so held on.

It was such a shame, after I was gaining on Janko after the stop I was really looking forward to a fantastic battle on this great circuit... oh well, next time I guess...

First, I think I owe Kent big apologies. I was reckless and tired to outbrake him before the chicane, but broke too late and shot straight, making him hit me in the side, and spinning... Clearly my fault :(

Qual was excellent. Got 2nd right behind CJ. Only 2 tenths away :)

Race:
Losing in pit stops... Again

The conditions were pretty extreme, with the ambient of 35 cels or so and 43 on track... In the last few moments before the race I thought what brake ducts would be OK. Surely, I was using low in practice, where the ambient was 20C... Just thought what the heck and set it to full. BAD, bad idea :S They were way too cold and I could feel they didn't provide any good stopping force. Was having problems in 1st stint as I just couldn't get used to brake earlier... They never glowed :(

Still, I did manage to keep 2nd till the stop, even though I was almost a second slower than in practice, and probably it was pretty much because of cold brakes. In 1st stop, lost one position and was behind Ari. I was abit faster in 2nd stint than in 1st I think and was slowly getting closer to him. Not very eventful till the last stop, where we both entered the pits on same lap. I just knew, he'd be at least 5 seconds faster... And he was even more... After a lap I was 18 seconds behind :(

Than had an incident in last stint, which is described above... After that I wasn't as consistent, feeling like a jerk :(

Well, I was faster than the previous races, still I really need to work on startegy :P I hope nothing will go wrong next time

Got pole and pulled away from Scott as much as i could. I knew at later stages he could be faster then me...

Went to pits, and sadly came out just after Kent on different strategy... I lost a lot in that fight, like 1-2sec per lap to Scott. Also had lots of problems with GT cars during that period of race. I finaly got Kent while some vette was lagged in middle of a corner, we both tried to avoid it but i hit Kent a little at back, sry for that,... im sure u understand i was just as surprised to see that one in middle of corner as you.

Then i saw Scotts gap suddenly gone up, didnt know about his problems, so i could finish the race by crousing last 20mins.

I had my first decent qualy in this group. I think this was the first time we didn't have rain in qualy since I've joined GTI.
I kept my starting position throughout the first stint just behind Pete. So I was feeling pretty good about life at this point. During the first stint, I had a couple of issues with the gravel in the funky chicane on the backside of the track that would eventually cost me.
I had great pitstops as well. After my first, I dipped through the same gravel on cold brakes/tires and got a stop-n-go penalty. That pretty much toasted my finish position. I was in 4th and came out in 11th. I could only work my way back up to 7th.
All in all, I had a really good race and a lot of fun.

I'm still new here with this group and still learning. If I was involved in any of the incidents noted above, please let me know so I can learn what I did wrong and what to do in the future. If it wasn't me, then, uh, nevermind. (;P

Terrrrrible race! Qual was crap and the first stint was, too. Had a good pit stop and had something going in the 2nd stint but a lag attack hit me and had me spinning and losing any sort of momentum I had on my side. A lap or so after the lag, I spun out in the first chicane and slammed hard into the wall. To prevent myself from being a liability, I pulled the car over and waited till the very end before I continued on.

I hated Zolder to begin with, but I was expecting a little bit more than that. Gotta go back to the drawing board again :(
