Qualifying:
Not one good lap.

Race:
After being hit around lap 15 (don't blame anyone, it was a racing incident), in the rear, car was totally undrivable, undrivable to a degree that was prone to oversteering upon hitting a bump in a straight line. Finally, mid race, after I spun ahead of Janko I decided that was enough for today, couldn't risk it any more and possibly take some out of the drivers.

Again, one word sums up the whole race: frustration.

Man, I've had great motivation to do this one but was helping a friend rearrange the house...

Was in the pits, running - idunno - fourth in G2 or something, went to grab the side of the keyboard and accidentally hit the ol' escape button...see you later.

Why the hell is there not a confirm escape screen? At least when you are in the pits? Good grief.

Well, the first stint was fun and track was drying out just as I was coming in for my planned stop. Felt like I had a reasonable shot at a podium depending on other's strategies.

Oh, well. Hope I can make the next one.

Didn't think I'd make it back from work in time for this one. never prepared for a wet race & the car felt horrible.
I was lined up behind 3 M3's & trying to be patient to pass & got slammed by a Lambo that put me out of my misery.

I don't have words to even come close to explaining how terrible that race was on my end. Half asleep, pouring rain, wrong tires, wrong strategy, wrong diff settings = embarrassment.

Worst GT-I season for me ever, bar none.

To beat Janko in the championship, I had to win and get pole in all three remaining races. I put in a good performance in qualifying and got pole here, so that was one down. The wet weather made me a little nervous, but I went for an aggressive strategy with soft-wets and 100L and it paid off beautifully. My driving wasn't perfect, but I kept it on the track at a good pace while all hell was breaking loose around me. I think I was on the overall podium for a couple of laps! At my pitstop I was well over a lap ahead of the next G2 car, and came in for inters and 80L at the 1h20m mark (hows that for making the most out of a full tank!). I came out of the pits and the inters were just coming into their own as the track dried, then BEEEEEP and reboot. Bollocks.
Had an easy win in the bag, and two tracks I'm pretty good at coming up... but thats just my season summed up. One piece of bad luck after another. {beep} ridiculous.
There were a whole chain of events leading up to this that have me to loose a shot at the championship - GPU going on the fritz, 8800GT refusing to come in stock, wet weather (higher GPU load), people running headlights for no reason (more GPU load), etc - and if just one of those things hadn't happened I was on for an easy win and a shot at the championship. But no, thats just my luck.
I doubt I'll bother with the Estoril and just go to Spa to have some fun. Grats on the championship Janko.

Qualifying was cut short by an apparently blind and deaf young Englishman who decided to enter from pits just in front of me. Thanks.

One BMW spun on formation lap, lost a lot of places and decided to pass cars to claim his Q position back before final corner - is that allowed?

Full tank with wet setup and soft-hard wets - big mistake. Managed to go sideways L1T1 but luckily nobody hit me, just everybody got past me. No grip whatsoever after 15 minutes or so. Pitted after half an hour or so for full tank and soft wets. That stint went OKish. After clouds started to clear and tyres getting too warm I decided to gamble and went for full tank and inters. They worked quite OK. Last stint went OK until an old dude in a Saleen decided that I had too much aero - wnet off and hit the wall hard but didn't lose places and the car was fairly OK. I was a minute behind Barry at that point so I wouldn't have had a chance to catch him anyway.

Grats OTHR 1-2 and Garry for G2 win.

What a waste of time!
Got a nice pole but that was kinda the hilite today, since again someone rigged the server for rain, not much to do against the 575 with their Pirellis.
Started ok it was raining very heavy and I could keep a good lead on soft wets, but then it started to clear abit and the 575 came into their zone again where there is not much to do about it, its simply just a much better car in these conditions I know since I tried it after Zhuhai since I was so bafffled.
Anyway started to struggle but thought I could still keep 2nd place had a 50s lead to P3, but the soft wets were overheating pretty badly but still pace was fine, but then a brainfade of gigantic proportions, decided to come in and top off the tank and in last second I choose slicks instead of inters, and it was quickly clear it was a bad choice, still too much water on the track, heck even too much for inters whích I got the next lap after goin off twice and having a 3min lap. After that the good finishing position I couldve had was gone, suddenly found myself in 4th again tho after some late pitters but track was still very treacherous on inters and lost it sideways coming over the bump at backstrait, puncture and a new wheel, that was it, dropped to 7th and then discoed with 8mins to go, not that it mattered much at that point, since was only 8 runners left.
So a race to forget quickly, had I stuck with the inters Im sure I couldve finished P2.

I don't think anybody "rigged server for rain" - the weather is changeable.

Well.. This one was Scotts to take... Grats on the great race Scott. My race sucked a lot lol... Hard wets sucked in stint 1, and just as i came to pit for soft wets, rain stopped. And then i was driving on 150°C tires....

When i saw Scott disco, i didnt want to bother with this race anymore, since it was crap for me from lap1. I changed to soft dry, and went to wait at the line, just to not get a DNF and finish last of G2 cars. Still... i waited 25mins, and 6mins to go i got a disco and DNF anyway... like CJ it seems...
