That was hard and slow work. Grats Barry - 3 in a row now? LOL

Qual was decent for me but well off the BMW's of Scott and Janko so I settle for 3rd as usual.

Race started and into T1 Scott Novotny was way late braking, don't think he was trying to make a move on me, but either way he went to the gravel and that gave me an little breathing room behind. The next lap Scott Michaels disco'd and I took some damage hitting his ghost on the front straight but car felt fine.

About 10 laps in I noticed Janko was really struggling and I was gaining on him, he gap was never more than 3 seconds so I was liking my chances now. Sure enough a few laps later Janko almost lost it and I got an easy pass and a 3 second cushion.

Drove until my crew gave me a warning and pitted at lap 28 taking fresh rubber and full fuel. Rejoined 5th in class but right behind a battle of 3. Soon made my way past them and was driving hard to catch Barry who is looking like he is attempting a 1 stopper. I made up about 15 second on him when he pitted. According to my best guess he wasn't going to have enough fuel for a 1 stopper so I relaxed a little and tried to pace myself.

When I came in for my second stop I had a 1:08 lead and rejoined without losing my lead although Barry was only 3 second behind me. I easily opened it up to 7 seconds in just a few laps when I caught Bob And Gregg again. Made the pass on Bob down the front straight and caught Gregg at Orella and he moved over allowing me past into Gancho. I was watching my mirror to be cautious of his posibly missing his braking since he was offline and sure enough I get clouted and shoved into the wall. I am traveling about 20 mph it seems but friggin game throws my splitter over the gaurdrail causing my crew a 2 lap repair.

This drops me from a very comfortable lead to alst place and 45 seconds behind. At this point I say "what's the point" and escape from the game.

I could say a lot of nasty things which I did on TS and I apologize for that, I was a bit enraged.

I will say to any one that bothers to read this that anytime someone passes you whether it is a car of the same class of a faster class, "brake early".

Sry to Scott for Disco he would probably have this one. I somehow got to 2nd place with lots of mistakes and strategy change...

EDIT: Bad luck Kent you were crazy fast with ur porsche :\... I almost did even worse thing and put Samuel out while missing my brake point... But i moved just in time to gravel so pheeew,... sry to scare u there Sam, and Pete who was watching it all

My race was mediocre yet again, but at least I finished. Car was pretty good but with it being very hot and me half asleep, I couldn't get the full potential the car had. I just could not react to the car's actions as quickly as I should be able to and it hurt me in performance. I think I may need to change my morning routine if I want to continue in this series any further...

What a joke... I've done everything I possibly could this season and with Janko on his current no practice form I should really be leading the points (or at least giving Janko a good run for it), but between shit luck with GTs, shit luck with weather, and shit luck with hardware I've ended up 20 points off the lead. Today was my second consecutive DNF from the lead due to graphics card failure, and thats with two different graphics cards!!! I was on hard tyres with 100L of fuel and a one stop strategy (which I calculated would work with about 4 laps to spare), and I was pulling away from Janko who was on a two stopper, so once again I really had a great shot at winning... Oh well, maybe next season.

Congrats on the championship Janko! I can say that with 100% certainty now because mathmeatically you can't be caught ;-)

Maybe I'll request a SEAT or something for Spa... whenever I choose a quick car I get nothing but bad luck to counter the speed :-(

What a distaster...

First had chosen the wrong tires resulting in oversteer and instability... After that changed to meds, and got a 2nd best race time straight away... Would've kept a better pace if I liked this track at least a little and if I wasn't 5th. In the next stop, didn't check the pit-list and game decied to fill a full friggen tank instead of 85 as selected in garage...

Like that wasn't enough I than got a disco 20mins to go.

Don't even bother, I don't want to ruin my looks with this!!!

Qually was not so good, I just couldn't find a clear lap so a 5th place start wasn't too bad.
Given the high temps, hard rears seemed like the best bet, but they just didn't have the traction off the corners to challenge Joco in front and so I spent the whole first stint reading the sponsor logos off the rear of his car. Then when I requested a pit visit it took 3 full laps before I got the OK. I managed to jump ahead of Joco at that point, but just missed out on doing the same to Sam. Now on medium rears the car felt better and I was able to pressure Sam...for about 20 minutes, then the grip quite literally melted away. The second stop couldn't come soon enough, but bugger me if it didn't take another three laps to get the all clear to pit. Each of those extra laps cost me three full seconds to Sam and screwed any chance I had of gaining the spot. Now 6 seconds behind, I just engaged auto-pilot to preserve the tyres to the end. Seems like Ari had the same problem and only just managed to keep Sam behind at the end.
Grats to Claus & Barry for their wins, and to Jan for 5th on his first visit here. Welcome to the asylum, mate :)

Not much to say about this one. Made a stupid mistake in an early lap which put me into the gravel with only one option ... back on track in reverse. I had no clear view backwards so I waited till all G2-cars had passed. I misjudged that and Scott N had to use all his drivingskills to not hit me. Sorry for that Scott. I then started to work my way up through the G2-field when the game locked-up on me. Tried everything to get it back again but that all ended in a horrible blue screen and a reboot. Maybe better luck at Spa. Grats to both podiums.

My first race here on one of the most boring tracks I've driven in a long time. First time I've ever driven here, but I quickly became bored.

But before I go through my race, a special thanks goes to Tim for giving me the chance to race here. I just hope the initial impression I've done is good enough to warrant a seat in 2008.

Now; my race. Actually, lets start with qual shall we? Got a decent warmup lap to do a low 34 to start with. The next lap and I was going for a low 33/high 32 (something in that range) but slightly overcooks it in the final corner, hits the grass and slams the wall. End of that qually = last place on the grid for GT's. Mumbling different kind of obscenities while the qual time counts down, while thinking "at least I dont have to overtake all the G2's!" Wrong...

Race time! I get a decent start and slingshoot my way alongside some other 575 into T1. I get past, but only to get notched by the same 575, landing me firmly in the gravel. Took me about 15 secs to get going again, but, more annyoingly, the entire G2 field got infront of me.
Slowly picked my way past them and set off to catch the GT's one by one. Knew I had the pace required, especially when tires wore and slowly picked them off, one by one.
And thats basically how the rest of my race went, finishing in 5th. Quite pleased with that after qualling in 11th, gets punted to last place and work my way up to 5th.

Hope my past endurance experiences can help me at Spa, but a 6 hour race would have been prefered.. ;)

As far as I'm concered Jan, you are not patient enough as you punted me twice in the chicane. You have to safely find your way around the slower class not push them out of the way. But you were not the only GT car that made ugly passes.
