Sorry guys. Got held up right before race started. Came back when everyone was leaving pit road. Thought I could just catch up with the back of the pack at be ok. Was rushed and didn't even notice the red flag as I was leaving the pits. Learned a lesson for next time.

I got caught up in Tom's spin at the start of the race and decided to take it easy and let anyone that was in a great hurry to go by. Everyone that I let go by ended up spinning within 2 laps it seemed. The night consisted of dodgeing spinning cars. It also seemed those same people were either spinning or causing spins. I'm not sure who I got involved with on my last lap (spinning in front of me), but it caused all 4 of my tires to blow and I had to take a dnf. I wish you guys wouldn't have been in such a hurry to get to the front, we had a long way to go. I also noticed that the guys that put in the practice were running well during the race as an observation.

On the positive side, Team CTD qualified 1,2,3,4 to start the race. Congrats guys on the effort.

God damn that race was bad. Can't tell ya how many times I wrecked...had to be at least five. And to come out with a 7th place is like a victory for me...could have been a lot worse. When I wasn't crashing, my car was just complete crap, no grip at all. Thats what I get for experimenting too much on the setup :P

Congratulations Jeremy Denzer and podium. I never thought the day would pass that I would be unhappy with a 5th position! I was eyeing a top3, possibly better. I made one HUGE mistake- I did not pit for tires on the last stop. Restarted 2nd and got eaten up by Jim, Joe (awesome job Joe) and Jeff. I tried to be as conservative as possible thoroughout the race on my tires, and Michael Lilley's sacred advice came to me during the race (I will not repeat it here, ah...gotta keep it for the next time we run at this wretched track...). I don't know what happened to Michael last night, but once again he was-- in my opinion-- the man to beat.
One of least enjoyable car-track combinations ever for me: the car was positively (it's almost H-ween) spooky. I adjusted wedge in one of my pitstops because she was downright nasty. The strangest thing is that I had practiced long runs, and yes tires would drop off dramatically, but she had a very different attitude in the race. Where in my long practice runs she lose grip and slide "with equal opportunity", in the race she was like an untamed horse. I don't know why that would be.
CT Racing did awesome with 4 drivers in the top 10, and we are now 2nd in the championship which I think it's superb.

Disappointing, it was. Don't think I had anything for Jeremy at the end, and Jim had me on tires, but third was a good possibility until...hello, meet Mr. Safer Barrier. Car was pretty decent through the green flag laps we got. Gave up speed early, but was very good after about 8 or 10 laps, able to run the bottom of the race track. Ah well...

My car would just take off at the restarts. I must have hit the gearing just right but then my tires would fall off fast. It wasn't until the second to last run when I found the line I needed to keep the tires somewhat on it. This is one of my favorite tracks I just wish we would have had more green flag runs. I have been oval racing for about 3-4 years and this is only my second win, so it took about an hour for the sweaty palms and rapid hart beat to go away.

I was only going to spectate this race, so just minutes b/4 I downloaded the track, took some laps and did okay until Joe D set me his set and i was able to complete some laps. I qualy 11th which was a big surprise. Race started off and all i wanted to do is stay out of everybody's way and begin the predictability of the other drivers misfortunes and hopefully avoid them in the process, well i got the first one correct but not the second, I got gathered up in 4 mishaps but somehow managed to keep the car on the same lap while being serviced, but the funniest part was the restarts, my crew chief forgot to insert 2-spark plugs and I went to the back faster than Darrel Waltrip or AJ Almendinger, during 1 caution I rolled the dice and decided not to pit, this worked well until the right rear was well into the reds and I was holding on for dear Sim life, then out of nowhere...somebody plows into the wall and caution, whooHoo that takes care of the fear of the possibility of pitting under green :) but there was no sandbagging here, and with my friend joe suggesting adjustments over TS i made his rec's and then a couple more which seemed to settle the car down the longer the stint went on, so with 8 to go I got a run on my friend Francesco and took over 4th, Holy Cow, I was hoping for a top 10, I didn't ever think a top 5 was in the cards. Great Race guys! Grats to Joe on another top 3!

Congrats Jeremy, Jim and Joe. Well once again CTD started off good. Larry shot off like a cannon. Tucked in behind him and had a team mate behind me. Had a great car, stuck to the bottom the whole race and was great on long runs. Then Larry disappears.....NOOOOOO. Disco'd. Larry is a very smart racer. I look to him on pit strategy advice. After several laps and pit stops, had a great time fighting off Jim for the lead. He was faster at the restarts but I would pull away the longer the run. Then for some unknown reason, coming into turn 3, the car got loose and spun. It never did this during practice and no other time during the race. Didnt hit anyone or anything but lost a lap. Then it was a fight to get the lap back. Finally did. Passed Jeremy with two to go. Thanks Francesco for the kind words. Congrats to CT 2 in the top 5. Once again I was looking for a top 5, but this time it was my spin that did it. Charles, sorry for the tap. We were heading to the same piece of real estate.

Now that was intense! I never imagined I'd be able to compete with the really fast guys. Wow!
I spent many hours trying to find a setup that wouldn't eat up the tires in 20 laps. Never did find one I was happy with, so I went with one that was fast at the start & hoped for many cautions. I'd say it worked out for the most part. ;)

I tried really, really hard after getting by Joe, but no way I could catch you.
So, I was quite thrilled to get a 2nd.

I know in real racing stuff happens all the time that is beyond the drivers control. I guess losing connection in sim racing simulates that pretty well. There is nothing I can do to fix the situation either so that blows.
On the plus side, with the great teammates I have I am showing up with a top 5 or better car every race and that is an awesome feeling. I even got my first pole and I`m not normally a good qualifier. Hopefully next race I`ll get to do more than 15 laps and show how good these cars are that I`ve been driving.
