Was having a blast all night until w/ 13 to go, Tim L and I got together in b/n T1 and T2 fighting for 5th. Bad deal in that Tim had pole and my car was pretty strong all night. Car was a mess after the wreck. Sorry about that Tim.

Thanks to Mike Lilly for passing on that "kick me" note. The last four races I've been in the shit for one reason or another. Any one else want it? Please.

MAN!... I had a FAST car tonight... And no track position to do anything with it. I got caught in one of the wrecks halfway through the race. Car was still fast after that, but crew insisted on fixing damage every time I went to the pits... Stupid me I forgot to turn it off everytime and would be at the back again. I had no doubt about staying out there at the end. I just thought the car would have been a tad faster... :( Highest finishing car that did not pit, but I needed a chance, and I got one, but with no tires left...

These races are so much more fun with a go handling fast car. I drove through the field I don't know how many times to lose it all in the pits.

Not that good of a race for me tonight. The car was set up too tight early in runs which would get worse and worse as each stint went on. I eventually started throwing everything at the car in terms of adjustments and began to see results late in the race only to get disappointed by the car getting tight again. Not to mention I set my 4th gear ratio too long so I was getting beat out of the corners, killing my already hindered performance. It was pretty obvious I was holding up some guys because of that...but it brought in some good racing that forced me to try and beat others into corners since I couldn't do anything out of them. Had some nice skirmishes with Larry, Joe, and a few others :)

With all that said, I am a bit surprised I finished in the top 5. I think it was barely a top 14 car with the way it handled...but I'll take it :)

Cya at Vegas...

Found a way during practice this week to keep the tires cooler, even when driven hard. Of course my car was probably riding on it's rims until the tire pressures came up. This killed me many times on the restarts, but I never had a tire issue or loss of front grip. I actually had a good race even though I only made up 1 position at the end. I had the pleasure of racing with quite a few people, except Mike Bush and Jeremy. Those 2 guys would drive by me like I was pulled to the side of the road. I made it thru the field easily though on the pitstops, my crew did a stellar job to get me out in 5th, 6th or 7th every time. My biggest mistake was staying out on the last caution. It wasn't long before the guys with fresh tires were overhauling me, to the point of me overdriving to keep up and then losing it in front of the pack! I got tagged in the rear as I was all opposite lock back and forth sawing on the wheel and on the brakes and throttle just to keep it spinning in a straight line down the backstraight and not surprise anyone by sliding into their line. Great job by all getting by, and sorry for that. Sent me all the way to the back with just a handful of laps to go. Just brought it home from there. Had a ball!! One thing though, maybe it's just me but I sure don't jump into a series without knowing the event's rules and regs. At the very least, EVERYONE needs to be on TS for the TPSCC events. I'm all for a new rule for TPSCC events making TS mandatory. With the shit that happens on the track and the flags and stuff, TS is now a necessity to run these stock car races. Might not have been issues where people felt the need to hash it out in post-race if everyone was present.

Fun fun race. I was in the back , in the middle , in the front , and 3 wide at times. I know I got a little pushy at times but as the race went on I could see we where going to run 10-15 lap sprints. With my awesomely terrible pit stopping skills in place I had to come from the back after almost every pit stop so I wanted to get all I could out of my car in those few laps. A two tire final pit stop help get the good finish.

The communication and teamwork between the CTD guys leading up to race night and on race night has been key to my finishes. Its a pleasure to be part of the team.

I agree with Bob. I think everyone should be on TS at all R2P events. It just makes a lot of things easier.

Good race all.I had my best car out last night of the season!I could really drive hard and not heat anything up to much.I was a littel scared though at 1st part of the race as to if my engine would be able to withhold such a low 4th gear.But i had done a full fuel run in practice and all was seeming ok.
My only real concern was Mike as always!And when we would get long green flag runs i knew he be looking for me.I had to keep telling myself not to look behind to much.But when a yellow would come out and we would pit,Mike would beat me into pit road and get out before me.But after the 2nd restart i could tell he had to high of a 3rd and 4th gear againts mine.Plus also Mike is as clean of a driver as they come!!!
I was not to sure how it would go after that last yellow with like 12 to go.I think the top 5 pitted and the others stayed out.Mike took me again in the pits and i was now 7th with mike in 6th.When the green fell i just went flat all out!Took mike before T1 and was coming up though fast.I think by T2 we where going 3 wide with guys fighting for all they could get.What a RUSH!!!By like 5 or 4 laps to go i knew i had it just had to bring it home for the WIN!!!

Congrats to Tom, Jeremy, and Larry. What a race. Once again had a good car. Not as good as Tom's. He must of found a hidden booster button..lol... Was running second most of the race. Larry was the crew chief on pitting stratagies. Thanks Larry. I would beat Tom out of the pits but he was strong on the high side and would just drive past me. The car would run good on worn tires and didnt need that last caution. On the restart the cars that pitted caught the cars that didnt, quickly. Was behind Bob when he got so loose exiting the turn. I tried to go high to avoid him but couldnt. Lost two positions but made up one. Happy with a 5th place position. Looking forward to the last race of the season.
Thanks for the kind words Tom. We both like racing close and its fun when we can trust each other to hold their lines.
