Richmond Shootout

As much as I would like to learn how to drive these beasts better, I'm retiring from the TPSCC series...I just can't have anymore fun, specially when I get hit before lap 1, before S/F line.. :S, my rear left suspension was damaged (yellow) and wasn't able to finish at least where I qualified...

dont no what to say i can go fast but cant make the car last maybe im just driving to hard or something.In nascar 2003 i found it alot easyer to set the car up for me to drive but this mod i just cant seem to get it right,sorry if i screwed anyone up tonight.

Hope I wasn't the root of that unfortunate pace lap screenshot- I was following Bob at the time, then stacked into him when he slowed drastically for the car in front of him, then somebody else tagged me from behind. I showed a little damage but I don't think it affected me much, hope the same was true for Bob and whoever was behind me.

Unlike last week, I was comfortable in traffic tonight. My teammates and I were all together settling in and picking up spots as the first few laps sorted out. I was feeling good until I went around all on my own- my set got loose if I backed too drastically off the gas, which of course I eventually had to do to avoid a spin up ahead, and around I went. Hung in there this time, got around to the pits for repairs and got back out to soldier home in 15th, better than a DNF.

This is getting to be routine, lap 1 or 2 someone spins in front of me and I happen to get the worst of things. Tonight was no different, I had to take evasive action to avoid someone spinning directly in front of me and end up turning into someone else. I then am just a passenger until the car stops with two flat front tires. I almost took a dnf, but managed to hobble around to the pits for new tires and finished the race.

not happy with finnish..had a 2nd place car all race..till lap triffic got to deep and cars started pilling up on lap 34 or so(Friday night)Had no where to go and was luckey not to DNF.Saved a 4th place..Nice race Gregg and Mike...Still holding on to 2nd!!!(not by much)..See u all next week.Oh and at TALLY!!!!!!

Friday nights....I had a great, great car. I could run high, I could run low-- I was very confident. Once again I told myself to save, save, save tires for the first third of the race. Avoided a couple of early incidents but then there was one that got me-- a spun car that I couldn't avoid. Lady Luck kissed me good night right then. Flat tire. Back to the pits at a ridiculous low speed. Changed tires but lost so much time and laps. Came out and I passed everyone I could, hoping for a miracle and maybe a top10. It was not to be. Congrats to my teamamte Bob for his top 10 and commiserations for Michael who endured my same fate. Congrats to the top3.

This proved once again to be a tough little track. Was very lucky to miss a number of incidents (and near-incidents) early on. Just tried to drive the car comfortably, and was surprised that several cars came back to me later in the event - likely the result of damage (car or tire) they picked up, I think. Car stayed very manageable throughout, and could keep it on the bottom in 3-4 which helped a lot. Setup is getting closer, at least - this is historically not one of my better tracks.

Noticed one thing during practice - lots of folks were only doing 2,3 or 4 laps at a time, which suggests a concentration on fast laps instead of developing a lasting car. Now, some of those may have had long runs under their belt already and were just fine-tuning, which is cool...

Michael K - try increasing the slow bump rate on the RF shock by a couple of clicks. That will slow down forward weight transfer upon deceleration, and may help that condition. Alternatively, you might try one click more RF spring.

Q was pretty much a disaster as I crashed on the out lap trying to heat up the tires.
Race went much better as I had a great setup and passed a lot of cars and was reeling in 5th and 6th place at the end but ran out of laps. Once again it was great fun racing you guys.
