Euro MC: Trois-Rivieres

First of all, apologies to Nuno. I entered T2 wide but he was on the inside and I bumped him from the side. Can't remeber to have seen him until he slid off... :(

Anyway, I had a great start of the race. Was very thight on T1 even more on T2 with Nuno. Unfortunately he spinned but I managed to go on. Was 3rd after 3 turns and got the second when overtaking Krue as he stopped his car, probably understeerded too much...

Was second behind Wyatt and managed to hold it up until the finish. Bas closed up a few times but in last lap he spun and I safely took the 2nd.

Pleased to have finished on podium behind Gooden, which is like a victory for me!

Grats Wyatt, crazy lap times.

Qualifying:
Wasn't very good. I didn't know there is parc ferme rules in place, and that screwed me as I tested some stuff that turned out in practice that it doesn't work.

Race:
Got off start nicely, although bit conservatively. Got ahead of Massa on the start for 6th. After few laps I was 3rd as a result of faster guys dropping back.

Stayed third until screwed setup started to bothering me severely. Massa and Bas went ahead, was really tight with Bas.

Later I spun it and hit the wall, that damaged aero and suspension (car was steering right). Lost slightly more than 20 seconds there.

Somewhere in the later third of a race I punted Fred J., big apology man. I didn't expect you would let me by there, but I went in too hot and it was completely my fault.

At the end I was battling it out with Milan, who was evidently faster, but some one and a half laps to go Wyatt decided he has to lap him, and that effectively ended our battle. Wyatt, you were some 35 seconds ahead of the second placed car so I really can't see any reason for lapping a guy, that late in the race, who's racing for position.

Congrats Wyatt, killer pace, and podium guys too.

After taking the front row in Q which i felt was very important , everything went downhill.

On lap 2-3 my engine started to overheat and i was like wtf is going on ??? Went into 6th gear on back straight to cool off the engine but usually i came into braking zone on 5th gear , that 1 extra down shift made me go too deep and couldn't turn in time.

Went straight into tirewall ,car stalled there and it took forever before i got it running again . On top of that i ruined Ali Topley's race when i tried to reverse out of the tirewall and collected him at the same time. Already sent him an apology but once more , very sorry about that Ali.. :|.

Tried to look at the name tags at rear view , but obviously i missed Ali's tag... :( .

Lap 4 took 3.5 minutes and after that theres nothing much else to say , except grats to Wyatt and the rest of the podium...well done

What a disaster. Did a bit of practise during the week that went ok but did not think I would get into the race as there were no slots open. I decided to check the event about 10 mins before qualifying and saw that some slots had opened up so joined just as quali was starting.

Did not manage to get any track time during qualifying and then only managed 1 1/4 race laps, hit the tyre barrier after the archway on lap 2 for no reason whats so ever apart from stupidity. The impact killed the engine and it would not restart so had to hit escape to clear the track. To cap it off as I settled to watch the rest of the race I got the dreaded connection lost message.

At least things can only get better

I saw you coming and it was a perfect spot to let you pass.. No big deal as I was struggling from turn 5, I went on first gear and spun stupidly.. I could have done a good thing here.

BTW @ Tim : it show America Cup in the standings ;-)

Very hard race for me, two spins but luckily no damages and few battles delivered me to 7th and lap down place :).
