Orchard Lake Grand Prix

Damn pc crashed with 2 mins of qualy left. By the time I rebooted and go rfactor up, was too late. Was on the front row at the time too.

Grats To my teamate Craig for the pole and win, grats to dennis for his podium.

Start went off to a hectic pace, I watched Steve and George battle for many laps until George had his mishap. I cruised until my first stop behind Steve, and for some reason my crew guys fell asleep at the monitor, the stop took 18.6 seconds??? I continued fighting and driving although never really able to match the speed of Craig. second stop was more like the crew I hired at 13.8 seconds, still not sure they wont receive their pink slips but I Took home a podium which was more deserved by my teammate Steve but he encountered trouble mid race :(

Side notes, SRY George for the scare on the front stretch, I was hooked up in your draft and didn't realize you were going to let me by when I was only following your line *close call* and a nice heads up job by Yuri to make the passing easy and un-eventful.

I still have a lot to learn about driving fast open wheel cars. But I'll get there. Wasn't sure about parc ferme so I did quali with my race setup. Mistake #1. Then I found out others were running less wing cos they blew me away on the oval part and I almost ran into them at the infield. Mistake #2. Twice lost my nose after the fast lefthander halfway track. Mistake #3 and #4. At the first repair I took the right lane into the pits, but the crew was waving at me from the other lane. Mistake #5. But .... I finished the race with 5 laps down. One for every mistake. :-) Looking forward to more and less. More races with Champcars and less mistakes. Grats to Craig on the win. And Jeff ... no problem. :-)

running a respectable 5th place after 1st stop from 3rd last off grid, made no mistakes runing a nice consistant race while others were spinning then coming up to lap george pol on the fast lef hander mid way round track my damn pc locked up. Gutted, that was that...
