Intro to Elise Challenge (Euro)

I had my first GTR2 game freeze :-( Was enjoying the battle until then. Some good scraping with John Dixon and Marko just before the freeze. The car felt good. Could get real close under braking but just didn't have the speed on the straight to make a clean pass.

I wasnt racing, but John pls try to win as often as you can,.. i realy like the way front page looks after your win ;)

Bummer to Jon who got a game freeze. As for myself I did a solid debut here on R2P. I´m happy with the result. Had to tweak my setup and have increased the rear springs to get the Elise rear loose. I had no contender in my proximity so I was racing lonely on P4 (qualified 3rd). Someone then just spun and I got in third position, tried to race smoothly to defend my place. As Jon got the disco I got in 2nd. Congrats to the winner John Dixon and all the drivers that showed a good, fair and competitive race. Thank you very much for letting me experience a good online race after a year of chilling :)

I made a poor job of qualy but had a better race. I passed Jon on the penultimate lap and got Marko in the very last turn. Although that was lucky as he was running out of fuel.

I qualified last but I did think I would be faster in the race than qualy.

I expected there would be a bit of carnage at the start and there was. I came through that unscathed and by mid race was in 8th place.

Although I was by no means the quickest I was just about holding my own, but it wasn't to last.

I know this was just a fun run but I am getting really pissed off with faster guys just barging their way through.

Guys if you are behind a slower driver TOUGH! If you think you are any good make a CLEAN pass! If you are up beside me and you are quicker like Allen was I will concede. I wont concede if I cant see you and you lunge up the inside.

I tell you what I ain't going to so obliging in the future, not happy and I will remember I can assure you!

as usual, racing these cars was great fun.

i got a good start and picked up several places before T1 (places i didn't give back like i usually do!). eventually settled into a fine battle with Fred Joseph.

as i pressed harder, i noticed that i was beginning to get a bit of lock-up, but without knowing if it was the fronts or the rears, with the car feeling very balanced, and with the race so short, i didn't want to divert my attention from the task at hand. so i decided to just live with it and pay close attention to the auditory feedback the tires were giving me.

then on lap 7 i finally got a good run out of the last turn and a good draft down the front straight making the pass. but Fred stayed right with me, side by side into Renault. i carried a bit more speed thru there, but Fred latched onto my wing, stuck to it thru Campsa.

he looked to be setup to retake the position at the end of the back straight. but unfortunately, i wasn't able to hear my tire scrub as well with him that close and locked up as i turned in to La Caixa. my _intention_ was to leave room on the inside in case he was already there, but instead my car snapped toward the apex with the rear-end breaking loose.

sorry for that Fred, hope it didn't cost you too much. it was great fun while it lasted.

after that there was no time to try to make up the positions lost of course, but ending another race with my fastest lap is ending on a high note.

Good fun race, I had a spin when I put the car in first by mistake on lap 1 and then fell victim to a car behind just after. But after that had a good race battling back through the field.

im really chuffed with that result. i quallied 13th had a good race al the way through clean as. i didnt think there would be any mishaps at the start but there was. i got caught up in it someone hit me side on in the frount of my car and spun me although when i turned it around i was only 1 place down to 14th i scrapped my way to what seemed 10th place and after passing the finish line was bumped up to 8th. anyway really happy and congratz to all the racers for a clean one and congratz to the winner john well done mate

Yeah Ryan, you really scrapped me to pass me.. don't do that in official races please.

Really fun battle Barret indeed !! let's hope we'll meet again on track !! :-)
