Bathurst

Just didnt have the pace today. I sat in 4th for the first few laps reeling off slow laps. Quickly I got bored, lost concentration and crashed :-(

Not a good couple of races... hopefully I can turn it around again next week. But I doubt I'll be back in these things before Le Mans... maybe Long Beach.

Well that's it, I'm done with rFactor. It doesn't matter how much I practice (and I did plenty for this race, online and off), the bloody cars never feel or react the same come race day. This time it felt like it got airbourne and turned right on me along a straight piece of road.
I carried on for a while, then hit the wall rather than rear-end another car and the whole thing locked up on me, leaving no option but to switch off the power.
Anyone interested in the position as Kevin's team mate?

Well,stuff rfactor.Go through practice,qual and soon as i start the formation lap,i know the ffb had changed.Does it end there,no.1st it tells me i should be behind so and so,yeah know that,used to it.Then i'm going too slow?right behind the guy in front,then it tells me i should be behind Pete who qual about 7 places in front of me.Then i'm told i'm in front of the guy i should be behind,then stop and go,wtf.Does it end there,no,come in on the last lap to do stop and go,tells me 10sec ,then proceeds to change tyres and fuel,really,game over right there.In hindsight,if i had run the tank dry on the next stint,i might not have had to do another towards the end.Rfactor 2 or another GTR please.

Just like i thought would be a real mental challenge to stay alive. It's what i did.

Happy with my finish. Could have been a little better.

The Bowling Alley did claim a few. I gutter balled twice,
no serious damage. ;)

ps grat to Sam and Barrett who made alot of positions.

I don't know why but I kept getting a fabcar.hdv mismatch everytime I tried to connect. Fresh installation of v1.3 and NO engine upgrades, so I don't know why it was happening really.

Patience on the form lap guys sheesh...Tim said single file and smooth.... I got passed by two people and someone was always on my side during even the shortest straight. Like I say passed by two in the beginning of the form lap then at the end I was going to reclaim my spots but everyone double stacked down the hill so I played it safe and stayed back. Please if you qualify 7th you need to take the green flag in 7th even if you pass 6th the millisecond after green.

Great race however, some nice chases and patient driving. I got my two spots back in the end ;p that's all that mattered.

I love the longer races, the first and last 15 minutes suck but in the middle I just get sucked in and don't even blink LOL!

Pete Bunce you got hit during the form lap and lost your rear wing that is why your car freaked out on the straight-o-way. Check the replay and don't give up on rFactor yet!

Thanks, Kevin, but you should add John Onofrey in there too who made up as many as i did. Sam was clearly the the biggest advancer, however. well done Sam.

Well this race went a long way toward restoring my enthusiasm -- even self-confidence. i've had a horrible S6 so far. My rank is in free-fall and i've felt thoroughly embarassed by all but a handful of my performances.

After the last few races, i decided i had to trim my schedule and focus a bit more on the series i enjoy -- just so i could still have some fun racing. And i have to say i really enjoy this series!

Had to refocus a couple times when i caught my mind wandering, but the amount of practice i put in on this track clearly paid off. Aside from the two times i got a bit of power over-steer and nudged the inside wall at the sharp left hander that starts the climb up the mountain, which cost me almost no time, i stayed completely within myself and completely clean.

And racing these cars is just tons of fun!

Looking forward to Montreal!

At least I'm closer the top then in Sebring, losing too much time in the mountain while passing other cars for a lap.
However good job for all finishers.

Disconnected again during qualifying!!! Twice in two days.

I had the same problem yesterday trying to get on the server. Fabcar.hdv mismatch. Uninstalled and reinstalled track and mod, no good. Tried a second install of rFactor I have on HD, still no good. Tried the uninstall and reinstall of track and mod, still no good. Tried a third install of rFactor on my backup HD and was able to get in finally. I even installed the supposed corrupt .hdv file from Barrett's (who was successfully on the server) system.

I also had problems with this mod and the Sebring track and had to go to a second rFactor install. There it was a track file missing or some such nonsense. It appears some mod or track keeps corrupting rFactor. Have scanned for virii and other malware and system comes up clean.

This was a fun race. I really enjoyed the track, even when there wasn't much racing going on it was still a pleasure to drive.
Qualifying went well, I managed to get some open track and qualied 5th.
The race itself was fairly uneventful, I held 5th through the first turns and chased Scott for several laps before he lost it on top the mountain. Next laps I seen him up there drinking some pepsi's and hanging around with some kangaroo's so it looks like he made some friends at least.
After that I did my best to not let Milan get too far away while not forcing anything and finishing in one piece. I might have scuffed the paint a little on a wall here or there but I keep it straight and clean right up until the very last turn where I finally did lose enough concentration to end up sideways. It didn't cost anything but time and I finish in 4th a few seconds later.
Great job Dmitry, Trystan and Milan. You guys were fast here.
