Orchard Lake

I knew better than to do this race, I was allready tired and sleepy feeling. didnt take me but 30 minutes into the race to loose all care and concern, i quickly crashed out.
I allwasy find it harder to do a weekend race than a weekly race, cause the weekend is like my free time, and a sim race is usally a 2-3 hour task.
Aside from all that. i cant figure why i cant ever catch poeple after they pass me, for example i quailified 12th, and by the time 18th place passed me, i couldnt catch him..

Well I was stupid for this race. I came on this morning and went in, did a 1.13.2 and thought "damn, the fast guys are probably in the 1.10s" so I checked the predicted times and got really excited when I found out I was doing as well as I was. I qualied 2nd. Pete was hot into T1 on the first lap and Tristan got by and ran off w/ Dmitry, which I expected to happen sooner or later. I was around 5 secs behind those two and 5 secs in front of Pete when I realized I was slowing down badly. I couldn't figure out why, and I was also sliding around like a Formula D driver. Then it dawned on me that, because I had used warm-up to go to the bathroom, I forgot to change my setup around so that it wouldn't eat up my tires as badly as my quali setup did. So, I had to run my race on quali suspension settings, which made my tires temps go through the roof and the life of the tires were SHIT. So, I just nursed it a lot of the way, and when I lost focus a little, I spun. Probably 5-6 times total. So I was lucky to not lose more positions than I did.

Good job Dmitry, Tristan, and Pete, and awesome race this week for CanAm. All within the top 10, great job guys.

Well looking at what Mr. Chris Melton is trying to convey is not a good representation of what took place unfortunately!
Waiting patiently for 10 laps for the right place to pass, the car in front (don't have to mention names seeing there posted)would continually BLOCK me on any attempt I would make to pass safely. I wanted to make the end of the race so I decided to go WAY down off the track with the left front, probably risky but had the run and car was stable, well someone decides to come way down on me and my nose was already at his door as seen from In-Car view.
Enough said!
The rest of my race was exciting and dynamic, had some great racing with Jon Onefry for a few but the best had to be with Jerry Chen and Barry K, we were running 8, 9 and 10 just some real clean tight racing for many laps. I thought I was going to finish up around 9th but my pit stop was horrible and fuel calculations were off, then made the error of not using the PIT limiter and receive a stop and go Penalty...game over.

I had a average race, decided not to quali so i would take it easy. I span so many times i lost count :D.

I tried to get out the way of lapping cars but im not going to slam the brakes on to let someone by. imo people flashing they're lights was not needed.

gregg please dont use these post race blogs cry about a race. Just sour grapes. I wasnt blocking you like you were saying, i was making 1 move to the inside when you were going to attempt a pass, which i am entitled to.

and as for the accident. nobody said anything about you... and you were in my blind spot surely its down to the car behind me to watch where he is going as i dont have eyes in the back of my head.

I apologise for the 'hot' entry to T1 - just as the pace car pulled in all other cars started blinking in and out. Just what you need in a packed field charging towards the first corner! My first thought was 'oh shit, I'm about to disco'. Second thought was OH SHIT, there's turn 1'! This continued for most of the first lap, then cleared and never returned.
Had some good battles with Rob, then Barry in the first stint, then ran pretty much alone from then on. But hey, I finally managed to finish one of these races :)

I just want to make one thing clear. This is one of the most enjoyable series I've run in. Fun cars to drive and great competition that seems to get better every race.

Had a rough time qualifying. Just never got a good run and was only able to get a 13th. This completely changed my strategy from a 1 stop to a 2 stop because I knew I would have to step up the pace to get a decent result.

My first stint was, shall we say VERY busy. Had a little racing mishap on lap 2 or 3 that put me off in the grass off of T1 sending me all the way to the rear of the field. Now I really have my work cut out.

Have to step out and will complete this this evening...

Shane, if you're not into the race, don't do it. Instead of weaving across the track like a drunken homeless guy. I lost a good 10 seconds on Paul and Barry right off the bat on the 1st lap because you were swerving (i'm not exaggerating) up and down the banking at full speed so I couldn't draft pass you for fear of punting you. If you can't hold the car in a straight line, I suggest you put in a little practice time before jumping into a race. Have some respect for your fellow racers who do spend what little spare time they have to practice.

I finally had to dive bomb you in turn 1 when you blew your braking point and slid across the apex. Even then, you still tried to chop me off and push me off into the grass.

With no chance to catch the lead pack, I decided to gamble and do a 1 stopper. Only problem with that was, I was having too much fun racing with Gregg and Barry Kennedy. :) Used up a bit too much fuel, and I had to start fuel conserve mode in the 2nd stint.

Ended up 1 and a half laps short of fuel, had to do a splash and go. Came out of the pits half a second in front of Dmitry T, and had fun pushing hard to hold him off, reversing our roles from the Fun run earlier at Orchard GP.. Crossed the start finish with 0 litres. :)

Simon M, some of us will flash the headlights briefly to indicate we are going to pass/lap a slower car. Or that we are stuck in your blindspot and don't want you to accidently move over. I'll also flash the lights sometimes when the leader is behind me to signal he can move over and pass me. It's not meant to be a rude thing. :)

yeah i get the flashing, but just flashing the lights till i get out of the way is just anoying :( im not going to say who did it as it was mainly 2 people.
