congrats on the win! fun season.

That was a really fun race. I had good battles with Sheldon throughout the whole race, and then on the last lap in the home stretch, the punk gets a run and passes me just before the finish line! Man, that sucked! But boy, was it fun!

Great racing to everyone, and thanks Hutch for putting together this fantastic Power & Glory season. I can hardly wait for the new season after the holidays.

Wow again. I was hemming and haawwing over the lotus cortina mann and the abarth grp 5. I ended up taking the abarth.
1st off I was to ancy on the qual out lap and put Ray on his roof. I'm glad it was only 20 sec into the qual so we could both return and run some laps. Sorry RAY!!! I qual'd 7tj or 8th. Can't remember...
At start of race, I lost a position again due to horrible start(becoming a theme here for me). Ran some really tight laps behind Tommy and just grazed his bumper on t3 or 4 and caused him to lose it. I waited for him to gather his car. We both got passed but ended up getting those spots back rather quickly. Ran some good laps with Tommy before he faded. Then caught Jerry Gordon with about 10 mins left. Had nice nice battles with them. Jerry got around Gordon and pulled away. I caught Gordon and proceeded to loop it and give him back the spot. On the last lap, I caught Gordon again and on the up hill, I lost it again and gave him back the spot again. Ended up in 8th. Really only had to apply the brakes at the end of the straight with the abarth here.

Was a fun season...enjoyed racing with you all. Last night after the big snow fall we had here in Ontario i was beat and just could not drive that Jag..i ended up hitting the febce and my car was undriveable, the marshal told me to wait in the car and not move but help never showed...lmao
Was a bad pick for that track that jag, should of maybe picked the four speed.

One of my most entertaining seasons came to an end last night. Hutch - thanks again for all your work making this happen and thanks to Tim at R2P for hosting this rogue group of pedal pushers!!

I came into the season hoping to be competitive at times - with the help of a better car in some cases - and was fifth in the standings knowing that I probably would slip at least one spot. Having only 7 points to work with it was either the Abarth, the Lotus, or my choice the Alfa Jr. I qual'd 9th after a quick trip on the dance floor - I gotta see what it looked like on the replay, but those Dancing With the Stars folks have nothing on my nimble footed A Jr. Bryce- you aren't the dance partner I am looking for but thanks for the quick skip across the hardwood last night - lol. After the start where I lost a spot or two I was able to get back into the top 10 rather quickly - my Jr just had more oomph on the straight than the Abarth and if I stayed on my lines they couldn't drive around me. From there I was by myself for the most part watching a train of Alfas in 4th, 5th and 6th lap after lap. After a mishap I was up to 6th and then a little past midway I was gaining on Gord in 5th. He went wide entering the straight and I was able to drive past. I think his tires were shot cuz he never was able to regain any time. From there it was just a case of being consistent - and this was probably the most consistent race I have ever run, 5 laps in the 7s - always passing or when Conor had to spray Jag exhaust on me, a couple laps in the 5s which I could never do in practice, and the rest in the 6s.

In the end I couldn't hang onto 5th overall slipping to 6th but looking at the 5 on front of me I am not disappointed in the least with how things turned out.

Condolences to Rick and Tommy, who were seriously out-gunned in the final race due to Conor's amazing points (read: Abarth) management.

I'll add my thanks to Hutch, R2P and NASRL for a great chapter, to all who took part in the series, and to the creators of this great mod.

This was a great race and a great track to end the season.

As for my race...

Initially, with 15 points available, i was planning on running a Volumetrico, but i couldn't get the thing balanced for my driving style. Too much push. So i did some test laps with the Jag. But i had to turn that into some kind of movie stunt car (very loose and twitchy) to get it to behave the way i wanted it to in some corners. With both cars i was very inconsistent and my times weren't that much better than with the GTA (Sr). So GTA it would be.

During the Q session I mismanaged my gaps and tire temps by trying to run a hot lap too early, but i was happy with P3 on the grid – until i heard Conor say that he couldn't see the start lights! Now i really see the value of Teamspeak!

When we went green, i knew I'd have to hold back a bit, to avoid rear-ending the Jaguar, and after T1 i was behind Pete's Elite, but luckily at the head of a long Alpha train.

I knew it would take 3 or 4 laps before i felt comfortable and didn't want to blow the race early by pressing too hard on cold tires, but i was getting a lot of pressure from behind (and along side in at least one case) and over-drove a bit during this time. I think it was three laps Pete held me off nicely, and those behind me were pretty restlessness when i finally timed the last turn properly to capitalize on the speed advantage of the GTA. Not having access to a replay, i can only hope i didn't slam the door, leave insufficient racing room, or otherwise unfairly impede those around me during these laps.

Having blown my tire conservation strategy early, i now found myself increasingly concerned with my left front as i tried to open, then maintain a gap to P3. As the left front wore down, my braking and turn in became a bit dicey and i got a little too deep into corners, or a bit sideways under braking a couple times.

The gap began closing rapidly.

I was pretty sure Mike was going to get by me eventually, but in the end the GTA gave me just enough to hold on, even though the cords were showing on the left front.

Well, for the first time I can say I really had a shot at fighting with the best here. I Q'd 2nd... a R2P-career best for me... behind only Connor in a blistering quick Jag. I was more than content with that given the difference in machines (and talent). Got a great launch at start since Connor couldn't see the lights, but the lack of torque in the Elite meant he made that all back and retook 1st at T1. That means that for all of about 3 seconds, I led my first R2P event. ;)

Had an outstanding fight with Barrett for a while. Held him off repeatedly, but he ended up finally taking 2nd away. Again, I was content given the differences in experience. At least I had a shot at my first podium! I even held on to him for a while. But luck had other plans for me. Coming up on the first lapped traffic, Barrett made it by and when I ran up on a corner to pass on exit, the driver checked up, forcing me to go evasive. The loss of momentum, and the gap, left plenty of room for 4th and 5th to come screaming by with no hesitation or obstacles to avoid.

So began my steady decline. My concentration was shot by that moment of frustration. From then on I started making tiny mistakes that resulted in more and more lost ground. A couple self spins (and one helped along), and I dropped all the way down to 9th. Managed to gather myself up each time, and still closed the gaps, but the losses were too big to overcome. Had to settle for 9th at the end.

Ah well. It's satisfying to know I've been developing the experience to start competing. Sticking with one car all season really paid off in this department for me, even at the knowing cost of championship points vs more potent cars.

Thanks again for a stellar season. PnG is the best racing I've had, period. So glad NASRL, Hutch, and Tim have made it possible, and a big thank you to all the fellow drivers for the terrific sportsmanship.

Thanks Michael and crew! Enjoyed my first event with you and would like to race again. Having Johns' jag at the bottom of the up-hill made things interesting. We also got lots of wet heavy snow here just north of Boston so I know how you must of felt. The Patriots WON, I didn't crash, so it was a great day.
