RACE - Radicals

I'm toubled by the random selection between race 1 and race 2 for the posted results from these Race07 events.

You always pick the race I had a major problem in. :-)

This time, my projector died right as qualifying started. Rushed over to another system with a CRT but with none of my setup work. Qualified last.

Starting in the back is never good. T-boned a car that had gone off and then come back on the track sideways. Lost front splitter and damaged something.

The car was undriveable and I just tried to stay out of the way.

Second race battled for top 5 and was gaining on Ben and Tim in the closing laps but pushed to hard and the fronts stopped helping.

Then I ran out of fuel (loosing 5th) even though a 12 lap setting was more than enough in the first race. Not 100% sure what happened there other than going faster. But not that much...

First race was good. Qualified on pole and drove away from the front. I was really trying to get more comfortable with the car, pushing the limits, but I couldn't really find one... strange handling game this...

Race 2 was a disaster. Started 7th on the reverse grid (Janko had left), jumped straight up to 3rd, then went side-by-side with Tim for half a lap. Every time one of us should have got ahead, Andre infront broke way earlier than us and we would make a mistake trying to avoid him, giving the other an advantage. It was pretty funny for a while, until Tim bobbled in the chicane, I had to back off to avoid him, and who is sitting right on my arse not paying attention? Thanks Sam ;-)

After that our parents finally decided to put a DVD on so we both escaped downstairs.

Fun cars these, a full season certainly will be interesting... I kinda wish they felt more like GTR2 physics, but hopefully I can get used to them.

first of all, scott, you didnt 'back off' you slammed the brakes on and i didnt really have a chance to get off your arse out of that corner.
the first race went pretty well. i could have got 2nd on the grid twice but the first time i was running out of fuel going down the front straight to end a good lap and managed to just duck into the pits and the 2nd time it went to the next session a few corners before i could finish my lap :(. so i had to start 5th. i dont know what happend at the start, one second i was along side tim for 3rd and then next i couldnt see him :/.
then after pushing hard for a michaels 1 2 and ran wide in T1 and allowed roberto to catch right up but he ran out of fuel in the last couple of laps.
these cars are so much fun i cant wait for the series to start.

I was learning to drive these things and realy missjudged all the braking points... Since i havent driven these before it was all strange to me. :P Had nice battle with Tim for a while but decided to go like a rocket into T1 and it was then just driving by myself till the end of race. Couldnt make it into race2 im sorry, just had to go get drunk :P

Congrats to Scott, Sir Pete and young Sam (I'm going to have to try some Nesquik before the next race - LoL.)
Just having a little fun Sam. Fun is hard to come by when your as old as I am! : )

My race started in a bad way even before I hit the track. Seems like the old "collywobbles" decided to give me a visit again!

Plenty of off's (hard to concentrate when you've got the colly's). I really like these little cars, hope to do better at the next Radical fun run.

My replays are all messed up, hope this isn't another R 07 glitch.

One thing I find very annoying about this game is the name tags, they are so low they obscure the track/cars up ahead. Sometimes I like to turn them on to see who is ahead of me. Guess I won't be using them much in R 07.

I have replay problems too... they are all 5.8sec long... not a lot of action in that amount of time... :P
