Euro e30: Brands Hatch

Not sure why I'm DNF, I got the flag and the cheerful bloke telling me I hadn't scored any points then lost connection a minute or so later...

Didn't set a quali lap, Steve K span ahead of me in Westfield but I could see there was room to get through online and I thought he'd stay still until I passed. As I got close he moved forward a few feet and there was a pretty good smash. An odd choice, but no hard feelings Steve! Limped back to the pits with a puncture and no splitter but my mechanics had sneaked off for a cup of tea and wouldn't come out to fix my car.

Started from the back, made up a few places and then had a great fight with Kris for most of the race, we swapped positions a few times until he ran wide onto the main straight and gave me a bit of a gap. Cooked my tyres trying to get past Kevin and started to struggle a bit. Kris recovered and sat close behind until I half span on lap 15 and let him past for the last time. Really fun race all in all, close but fair racing, thanks.

Got a great lap in qual, i felt really hooked up on low fuel, but at the start of the race I wasn't nearly as comfortable. I went down to 4th early but managed to get back to 2nd with little problems. I followed Frederic around for 8 laps or so trying to put pressure on him, but he was much more solid here than at Vara and after 8 laps, as Kevin started catching both of us, I decided I'd have to go up and earn the position rather than wait for it to fall into my lap. Took me a couple of laps but eventually I got close enough to get alongside Fred into Druids and took the position. I pulled out a few seconds then controlled the gap to the finish.
Glad I was able to win my hope event in such a close and fun race, that's what touring cars are all about. Glad to see a big field too. Can't wait for the next one :D

Quali was good and I was happy with 2nd. Now could I get it off the line this week? No! I did practice a bit but I still didn't get it quite right so I was in 4th out of T1. Then the top guys were slow through Druids and I briefly made 2nd but was soon back to 4th. Then the race settled down and I just tried to stay close to the top 3. Towards the end Kevin came back to me and on the last lap he did his best to give me 3rd place. I took it but then chucked it off myself and was back in 4th again, damn, damn, damn.
Grats to the podium.

Average qualification in 4th just to be behind the best.
I make a very good departure and finds me in 1th.
8 turns, scott passes to me , very beautiful depassement.
10 turns, Kevin returns on me, but succeeded in not passing to me.
he has to make errors because he loses more than 10 seconds.
with the finish, scott finished at 1,9 seconds in front of me.
