Rule #2 of the 10 Cardinal rules is "2) If you spin or run off the track, do not merge back onto the racing surface until all traffic has passed. You are off the track, regardless of circumstance. If you spin and your car remains on track, stay put until all traffic has passed"

I guess some drivers don't understand this one. But the race Stewarts do. In almost every race I have raced in someone in front of me spins off track, then runs back out right in front of me causing all sorts of problems, like, wrecking me, spinning me and other various bad things. To this day I have yet to see anyone get penilized for breaking this cardinal rule. I guess the rules are just for looks.
I spin off the track a lot. I'm a "noob". stopping and waiting for the cars behind me is my penalty for spinning off track....even if it was caused by another. I extend this courtesy to all...but some just don't get it I guess.
i believe it is up to the race stewarts to remedy this and start penalizing those who refuse to follow the rules with a drive thru.

Edit by TM - The stewards do not get to see everything, so if you see a driver violating one of our rules, you need to report it so it can be properly penalized. See this post on how to do that. A violation of the rule you quote is an automatic DQ.

Also, we do not announce or publish penalties so you probably just do not see them, but they happen almost daily.

Fun race, lots of action. Qual was OK, a clean lap not too crazy, stuck me in 5th. The start was good, considering it was Monza, and I found myself chasing Roberto and Nick. The first half of the race was plagued with lots, wayyy too many, little mistakes and I wasn't making up ground. Lap 7 changed that, and I found my pace and set out for the podium. Brian had snuck by us all and made his way to 3rd, and once I passed Roberto I thought there was no hope until I saw him bobble in the 2nd chicane. After that I just held it straight and kept my pace to hold on for 3rd.

Nice job Joco and Allen, you guys left us behind.

Don't worry, I'm still ashamed of how I sent you flying at 200kph straight to a wall at lap1 in F1@monza race last season so this little punt today doesn't even gets us close to being even ;) Besides it was also my fault as I got too cautious after my 'not so very clean' overtake of someone (don't remeber who it was and replays in this game suck too bad to check...anyway sorry to you "stranger")

You can't really expect stewards to watch each and every player throughout the whole race. Make a life easier for them and just report the incident you're referring to and they'll look at it and draw consequnces if they find you're right. It's that easy.

Qualified 3rd although could have been better as i was 1/2 a sec up at the 1st sector on my final lap of quali but caught a slower car.

Had a nightmare of a start, was concerned about my gearing and my concerns were founded, ended up 7th after 1st chicane. Managed to catch and pass next 4 cars over a few laps to get back into 3rd position and was surprised Allen was only just over 3 secs ahead which meant my pace was pretty good and felt like i could catch him (passing would be a different story!). Like tom said, i had a moment coming into 2nd chicane giving tom the opportunity to get passed which he took. Was pissed with myself after that and it took 3-4 laps to get back in a rhythm but by then it was lap 12.

Well done tom, i just couldnt get near you for those 3-4 laps mate, the harder i tried to catch you the slower i got!

I had to go to a University interview in London so had to skip this one. It's going to be tough to catch Allen now in the championship but I'm glad to see I still have a chance... cya next time.

main note about my race was me jumping from 6th to 2nd from the start! Rocket launch!
Nice balltes for 3rd and 4th place but i was struggling under braking + a mistake and save exiting Seconda di Lesmo.

Take a look at the last lap Scott, then tell me I let him win!
