Euro F3k: Magny-Cours

A good first outing in open-wheel cars, there was plenty of close action especially at the start when everyone behind me suddenly seemed about 2 seconds faster. I passed Allen at the start but he got me back with a very nice move and then Tom was all over me for a while before getting past when I made a mistake. Soon after I drove straight into a stationary Tom when his connection lagged momentarily. The car seemed ok anyway and it put me back in 3rd until lap 11 when I made a mistake and Tom re-passed. Then came the dreaded pit stop, once again my car sat there and didn't start after I was told to go, is it because it's repairing damage or something? It eventually started and I came out just in front of Robert and we had some pretty intense battling, very close at times and great fun. I just managed to get a bit of breathing space towards the end and something happened to Scott right at the finish to give me 3rd. Grats to Allen on a nice win and Tom for 2nd.

I was very confused the whole race, I didn't notice Allen had pitted early rather than late I guess and thought maybe I was going to win or something. But anyway, the start was crazy, cars all over me and me all over cars, but we all made it around alright. I worked past Darren, but then had a moment of lag, swerved to avoid a stopped car, and spun. Just a quick 360 and back going again, no harm done. I worked back up to Darren and got by when he made his mistake. Then the pits (which are CRAP in this game, I had no idea what it was doing for me...) but I made up time in the stop and came out well enough to be in front of Scott. He caught me on the last lap and we had some too-close-for-comfort racing in the last few corners, and I managed to keep myself in front after going side-by-side through the last chicane. Sorry for the excessive contact, Scott :(

Well that was a disaster.
I lead for about the first 17 laps, unfortunatley my family decided to have a conference in my computer room which was more than a little off-putting, which lead to me making a few mistakes through Imola and I ended up getting a stop-go. So that pretty much put paid to a win. Then on the last lap I managed to catch Tom for 2nd, made the pass in Lycee (penultimate corner), but Tom got a little over enthusiastic and pushed me from behind off the racing line and across the chicane curbing, which gave me another penalty for cutting, and lost me another 3 places. I would like to request that the admins look at this and perhaps consider reinstating me in the position I actually finished? The final cut really wasn't my fault.
Anyway, no big deal Tom but next time think about whether the battle is winnable before fighting it :P

Not sure I'll be back in this series... the cars aren't a whole lot of fun and the pitstops are a joke....

Scott if you had not cut the track prior to being pushed off you would not have had to worry about the penalty!

The cars aren't that amazing, but the racing certainly was. Had some good clean fights with a lot of guys. Beside a laggy moment at lap 3, and a little offtrack excursion, it certainly was good fun!
I'm not certain what to think of the pitstops though.. Looking at the laptimes, some stops seems to be much longer than others. It would be crap if the game randomly decides that your stop will be 10 seconds longer than the others..

I'm certainly back for Estoril.

For me that was a fun race, Scott did his usual trick of adding nitro to his fuel and gapping the rest of us fairly quickly. I pitted at half distance and came back out still in the top 10, rapidly climbing back up the order as everyone else stopped. Was more than happy when I got back into 2nd and Scott was 10 seconds ahead, which was what I figured it should be after we'd stopped, so I was more than a little surprised when Scott pitted around lap 19 giving me the lead, I initially had 8 seconds to Tom but he steadily chopped it down and a couple more laps would have seen me sweating as I couldnt push any faster as my tyres were done. Very happy with the win and grats to all who got to the finish.

Pit stop was fine for me, I had done some prior testing and knew what I wanted to do. The only thing I'm confused about is why I have menu selection controls in the the options/controls panel but no pit menu appears during the stop, wonder if theres a server command to switch between manual or auto pit options.

Oh man, now that I look at the results and Allen's laptimes, looks like if we had one more lap I would have won! D'oh! :P

Anyway, grats Allen, I forgot to say it in my original post but your speed really impressed me in this race, well done!

how much fuel they put in at the pitstop?
I'm thinking this; i started with full tank and they fill again the same amount of gas....and who started with, let's say, 3/4 of tank get filled with 3/4 still and not full tank. Could i be right?

PS nightmare race for me, Race07 is too demanding for my rig.

Well I was running quite well, easily eying up a top ten. Then a touch of lag, all the cars just stopped on the track around me. I drove around one or two, but then they all started moving again, and i was in the back of one. This caused me to spin, and sent me crashing into a wall, loosing a front wheel. Race over. I enjoy these cars, and hopefully will have better luck in the next round.
