Euro nGTx: Anderstorp

Borut and George were right behind me until the pit stops and there was nothing between us. I didn't change tyres and got the jump on them but I had Enzo to worry about now. He caught me and we had a little tussle for a couple of laps but my tyres couldn't cope any more and he soon got me. Then he had a mistake near the end and I thought I might get 4th, but on the last lap I made a stupid mistake and dropped to 5th. Was a fun race anyhow, grats to podium etc..

Quali was awful. I managed to get up to 3rd pretty quickly, then when Marko screwed up I jumped up to 2nd. Followed Ari until i passed him a few laps before my pitstop. After my stop, I had to spin to avoid hitting Nick and that pretty much screwed my tyres for the 2nd half of the race. Lost 2nd because of that. Sigh.

Congrats to the podium. It seems this is a Porsche track... look at the poor Ferraris (I'm not a good example anyway).

I didn't manage to prepare a good setup at all so I was worst than usual, sorry for that. I only had a bit of a fight with Mark in lap 26 (13th and 14th position respectively) although I knew I could not keep him behind, but I needed to feel I was racing against somebody at least for a few turns. Everybody else I think I let pass me cleanly.

Started race messing with setups (lost my worked and tweaked one) and failed to replicate my pace in qually.

Was loosing a good half sec a lap to the front 3 after Scott got past me.
was just settling into my 4th when pits stops came about, after which I found myself down a position lol WTH!

was tense last few laps with Darren :)

but overall pleased with my first race on a track I dislike :)

question: can I join this series all season? or do I have to enter each event manually?

A nice race to start the GTR2-season with. Quali and start were ok. Only Borut got passed me at the straight. Had Johan close behind me the first stint. When he pitted early I tried to put in some good laps but it seems to me he didn't take new tyres. Good job there Johan, I didn't manage to get close enough in stint 2. I did manage to pass Borut in the pits and ended the race in 7th. Had some scary moments with Marko in front of me after he had a moment. Marko in front of you means watching out for him lagging. That happend three times which didn't help keeping a good pace. Grats to the guys who made it to the podium.

I got a fine lap in qual, and I was happy to see it was enough for pole.

The start was fine, I kept the lead. Marko seemed to be faster than me but I kept cool. Then he made a mistake and went off under braking. Now Scott started following me and eventually I decided to let him through. My strategy was no tire change, and after my stop I had a healthy lead. I kept pushing, and the gap behind wasn't closing up, so I had no problems taking a satisfying win.

Perhaps I'll be in a Pirelli RS for the next race, supposing I can make it.
