I hope I did not ruin anyone's race... I was on the move from last to 7th. place until someone touched my right inside and punted me off track and I spun... It was fun until this part...Then I just cruised around and everything was fine again from 16th to 12th. and when I entered the pits for fuel, my car would not start at all (loose wires) and finally 2 minutes or so it did... Then a few laps later the car lost power and I pulled immediately inside the barrier...Got it restarted again but lost 4 laps all together for these issues...

Congratulations to the podium and apologies if I was in anyone's way...I let everyone pass, plus I signaled with lights to let you know I saw you...

Wow what a messed up race I had.

Got my new wheel hooked up and still long ways from feeling comfy with it, did a little practice this week but mostly tweeking settings trying to find a good feel. Happy to get 2nd on the grid with only a 29,3.

Managed to get the jump on Matjaz but it was tight going into T2 and I was too late braking with cold tires and brakes and missed my turn in, downshifted another gear to help and spun it out. Didn't feel any real contact, hope I didn't ruin anyone elses race there :(

Rejoined back in 15th or so, and quickly caught the pack and was picking of a couple cars a lap. Came up to Kevin early in the race at Hansen and someone went off ahead of us, I hope Kevin checked up because exiting the corner as I got on the gas I hit him just enough to spin him. Again sorry Kevin was not intentional.

From there I just kept owrking on hitting my marks and soon I was catching 3-4-5 in a battl of there own. Made a few more mistakes but not huge ones then caught 5th and passed him. Then a few laps later a couple of the leaders pitted and I found myself leading, thats when the lag came. I warped a few times then just stopped in the big banked right hander, when my screen came back to life I was following Daniel. Turns out I lost about 4 seconds that lap do to lag. Then I am trying to get a run on Daniel down Flight Straight when Hibner comes out of the pits and we bang each other a few times before he realizes I am there. Couple laps later me and Daniel decided to drive it off at Opel with me getting the worst of it. Back to second again, this time I don't realize Hibner is inside of me and almost take him out :(

Pitted from 1st and just had to hit the wrong buttons on my new wheel (sigh) then to make things worse I took tires! Which I wasn't planning on doing.

So I rejoin in 3rd 22 seconds behind GPol and start ripping off some great laps with low fuel and fresh tires :) Caught George with 4 laps to go, pull a nice comfy gap on him and BANG the game toggles to desktop! 24 seconds later I get rolling again back in 4th place with only 2 laps left!

Grats to Matjaz on a fine drive and to all the rest that finished.

Man what a fiasco for me, and the worst part is I get a top 5 restriction without getting maximum points.

Omar, I hope it wasn't I that punted you. If so, sorry mate, I was punted twice also. Still a great race!

My second race here at Race2Play and my first "official" race.
I qualified 13th, moved to 5th at the start, and fell back to 7th. A quicker driver made a nice clean pass pushing me back to 8th and then I had a battle with J mueller which went well until both of our competitive cars knocked me off the race line on the last corner a bit, giving him the lead.

I had a lot of problems with the front left tire. Characteristic of that track, and something I didn't anticipate beforehand. Didn't actually think I'd get out of the waiting list for this race, but I did about 6 hours before the race start and got to work on the car.

Fantastic race, and everyone did a great job. Everyone here drove cleanly, and i was glad to let mark carty and John Mueller by. Nice racing everyone.

What a race!!! The troubles in T2 of lap 1 happend right before my eyes and all of a sudden I was running in 2nd place. Matjaz stretched his legs and took off and I had Mark breathing down my neck for the first 18 laps with Daniel close behind him, waiting for something bad to happen. But it didn't. :-) Great racing there Mark and Daniel! In the euro-race I took new tyres but tried with only fuel this time. After my stop I was running all by my self trying to preserve the tyres and to not fubar it. I saw Kent closing in fast and I knew there was no way I could hold him off. So I already had settled for 3rd when Kent had a look at his desktop. That gave me 2nd back again. Grats again to Matej and to Garret and on to the next one.

Was doing ok untill my Norton Virus kicked on. It was hell trying to get back into GTR 2. With my desktop popping up, having no control, hearing the car wandering by itself, I was screaming like a little girl. Anyways, congrats to Matjaz for the great win.

Fun race; remember thinking during it that my holiday break was now officially over - some solid racing going on!

Hadn't planned to do this one at all as it's a bit late for me. My eyes tend to give up at night after looking at monitors all day, and sure enough I was blinking like crazy down the long straight to stay in focus. But the short WTC sprint races had whetted my apetite for some dicing, so when I saw there were open spots a few minutes before the race I jumped in. Picked the RSR and checked my garage, but the only setup I could find for it was one from some short race I'd done at Monza, so I was in tweaking mode from the outset. Didn't know what to do about strategy so I just used 90L and med/hard tires, figuring to make the tire call at stop time.

Qualified better than I expected, but hosed myself in the T2 incident after a decent start. Kent got a great launch into the lead, and when Matjaz chose the inside braking into T2 I went wide hoping to exploit momentum to go around. Overdid the momentum thing just a wee bit and went off instead of around! If I'd braked just a few meters earlier, I'd have been perfectly set to pick up the lead when Kent spun, but it was back to 10th or 11th instead. Compounded that error (one of many for the night) a few laps later by getting into my own teammate in the last corner and half-turning him - sorry JM!

Those blunders set me well back, but I didn't freak out knowing I still had most of an hour in hand. Everyone was on pretty good pace though, so making ground would take some time. Saw Kent coming back with a vengeance and tried to follow him up the field when he went by. Had a great chase with Garrett for a long while. We were very close on pace, and I even managed to sneak by once due to traffic but went off again in T2, my bete noir corner for the night. Started making ground back but it was time to pit.

My stop doomed me, as is usually the case for me. I really need to figure that out, as my 2:56 pit lap meant I lost gobs of time to the cars that finished ahead of me. I took 4 tires as my med fronts were giving up, but assuming all but George also took tires I still lost around twenty seconds. Some of that was over filling as my fuel swag was way heavy, finishing with 22L in the tank, but somewhere I'm missing something. Even though I call for a stop at the beginning of my in-lap my crew still stands around too long doing nothing before servicing my car. Hmmm...

Oh well, got back out and soldiered on, seeing I was gaining on the cars ahead and wondering if I'd run out of time before getting to them. It did! ;-)

Moral of story; go into an R2P race unprepared and pay the price!

I had a decent qualy and ended up where I had expected. I don't care for this track, so I was happy.
The start was good gaining one into T1. Then I fell into the "watch what others are doing instead of the track" scenario. I went off in T2 with the leaders, sort of a mercy shunt instead of sliding through. That dropped me back into around 7th or so. I worked my way up to 5th when Kent came calling for my position. Seems like I put the juju on him as his race went south after that. I eventually regained his spot later in the race. Steve and I battled for awhile until he late braked, ok, didn't brake until the apex into T2 as I was passing a lapper. He tried to take us both and wound up ordering a hotdog from a trackside vendor he went so far off. I ran until I had fumes and pitted for fuel/tires. Looking back, I should have pitted 2 or 3 laps earlier, as I caught GP in the last corner of the last lap.

Garret; it was late, I'm old. I forget stuff... like braking points! ;-)

Actually, it was more being offline and the suspension being unsettled that sent me to the hotdog vendor that lap. I took a peek at the Motec file and I braked within 4-5m of that point a half dozen other times on laps that were in the 1:30-1:31 range. I do tend to go in deep in the Porsches; easy to get away with when the weight distro's that far back and the car's easy to rotate.

Was too deep for a pretty corner exit for sure, but it looked do-able. Moreso going in than coming out, but at least the dog was good... ;-)

Great racing tonight for me. Almost always in touch with other cars. Went from 10th to 6th on the start which is unusual for me. Lost some ground a few laps later trying to hold off Garrett I think then managed to get back to 10th and the fun began. I closed on Andrew Carson and was able to get on his bumper at various times but couldn't get along side for a pass. He drove a very good and effective defensive line entering the turns. I figured all I had to do was keep the pressure on and he would make a mistake. Unfortunately that was not the case and we battled until he pitted.
I started with full fuel and when it was time to pit I had to decide whether to take tires or not. At this stage, multi tasking is being able to take two pills at the same time, let alone trying to calculate tire wear and keep the car on the track at the same time. Opted for tires, big mistake, but eventually ended up behind A. Carson of all people again.
We continued the battle, only this time I decided not to wait for a mistake, but instead decided to make it myself. Misjudged trying to get a run off the last turn and spent a few glorious seconds at the beach in the sand.
Well driven race Mr. Carson. I hope to see you on track soon. Although you'll probably only get faster, and I'll blink my lights as you go lapping by.
