USA WTC: Anderstorp #1

Sorry if I hit anybody !

But I got a weird lag going that I couldn't even drive.
Got out of the server and rebooted.
Came back into lobby and showed R2P server at 5001 ping.

Don't know what happened... Was really hoping to do this one

Great race everyone. that was a blast.

my apologies to Omar. on lap 1 when you passed me and we were going into the final turn. you were on the inside and i let you have it. once we went around the bend i switched to the outside for the left hander and you came towards me and we barely touched. it was a complete accident mate. i tried to give you inside. that happens i guess. i got hit with a invisible car on the last lap if it makes you feel any better :).

i had a great run with les at my heels the whole time. finally on the last lap he got by me on one of the sweeping turns. i gained ground towards the end of the lap and then got hit with lag as mentioned previous, on the last bend. riley got by me and i finished 9th. thx for the white knuckles les! fun race.

John wins #1 and Steve wins #2.

No problem Jason...It was a good race... I was really on the move as I passed 10 cars at one point and moved to Top 10...Then, the incident happen, well one of many, but I enjoyed the race nevertheless... :)

Congrats JM. Q'ed fine. Start was rough, EP had his lag problems so he didn't move off the line! Bumped him a bit but got around quickly and only fell back to 5th or 6th. This race wasn't very eventfull I followed some people but no dramatic passes occured. I moved up to 3rd due to spins but I fell back to 5th because of a couple of dumb errors going wide. Still good race, congrats podium!

I came home from work 5 mins before the start of official practice with very few laps under my belt. Fortunately, I had already made up my mind to drive the e46 months before the start of the season so I didn't have to worry too much about which car to drive. The e46 may be the slowest 07 car to choose from but if driven right, it can pay dividends. Anderstorp is a terrible track for it due to the fast straights and turns, but I was still able to fight for the top positions.

Started 5th and right off the bat, I was able to gain a position or two. Duked it out with the front runners a bit which involved some beating and banging but it was all in good fun. Eventually found myself in second and started chasing John down. With a lap to go, I was closing in faster and faster but just couldn't quite get up to him. Maybe if I had another lap, I may have battled with him but it was a fun race nonetheless, and John kept it clean with no mistakes. Grats :)

My first-ever podium finish... WOOT! I had a good qualy lap and a nice start to the race. I managed to gain 2 spots off the line and then 1 more as someone went wide. Settled in to a nice rhythm and somehow made it through the whole race without any big mistakes. My heart was pumping and my hands were sweating on the last few laps but I just tried to hit my marks and not give up the podium finish. ;)
