USA WTC: Vara #1

Congrats to the top and all finishers.

Well I got the pole and it was all downhill from there! The bmw's pull away at the start which was expected. At the fast left PB was right on my ass but you have to lift slightly and I knew it was gonna cause problems but I had to lift.... I almost spun and PB hit the wall and lost a bunch of spots. Sorry man but I can't take that corner full throttle, had to lift.

Then going into the right I get smashed by BFay!! No problem you were fighting for your spot I saw. No major damage visible on replay but I think I lost my rear wing. No problem though Fay shit happens and I should have continued in second but I lost it all by myself a few corners later. I was following Conor and basically forgot how close the corner was and skidded into the runoff area, going back to 7th. Then on the last lap I skid into turn two the hairpin right, total bonehead not listening to my sound. back to ninth.

So total distaster finish ninth, out of points and out of the order reshuffle for race 2!! :(

Hmmmm. You still finished though Ryan. I should have stayed off of the brakes and really pile-drived ya! But really, I was trying to recover from being punted when I got into you Ryan, sorry. And it was pretty funny (not really) when I served my drive thru that none of the other punters were anywhere to be seen. No worries Ryan, this was my last WTC event.

Some wrestling in there...Lots of battles, the only one I was not happy about was a "BMW" swerving left and right on the straight and would not let anyone pass...

that was a big ole crap of a race. i got punted both races

That Stunk. Q 8th, horrible start, punted 3 times on first lap, loose splitter, finish 12th. What else can I say. At least I pulled out a 6th on the second race. Was a fun time all in all. Can't wait till the next race. I love these cars.

Qualed 2nd, kept it clean on the first lap, took advantage of some others' misfortunes and came home with the win.

Don't care much at all for this track. Not that I don't like street circuits, but this one was really annoying for some reason. Just couldn't get a handle on it and looked forward to getting past Vara and onto Oschersleben.

No prob. RA. My setup is flatout through that corner and I assumed others were going through with no lift. I was more worried about being punted from the rear if I lifted. Honestly, when I was closing in on you I didn't even know where the corner was. That part of the track is so narrow can't see anything. Thankfully, it didn't turn out to be anything major for either of us.

Besides that the race was a cruise to the finish line.

Had a clean race except hitting a wall on my own there at the end. But remained ok till the end. Had Mike M pressing hard for a few laps there. But managed to edge him out out of the corners. He ran a tight race though. It wasn't easy keeping him off me. Had a great start. Passed about 4-5 cars right away and got lucky on some spinners. I enjoy this track and had a good time running it with you guys.

qualied 4th and got a FANTASTIC jump off the line. snaked my way into the lead before turn 1. i pushed the car a little too hard and with full fuel and cold tires, met up with the wall in T3. fatally damaged my car and made a mess for everyone else.
