USA WTC: Oschersleben #1

Killer race guys! Kinda had a little rubbin with Ryan for the lead off the back straight. He had gone into the grass on the lead out to the straight and I had momentum going into the S's. He obviously didn't see me take the outside for position on the track and came into me. Sorry man, I thought you knew I was there? Well, Ryan won the overall and my Race 2 was a mess. Better luck next race, Chow!

Q and start were great, I got out in front. Mike caught up when I went wide onto the back straight and I got a little wide and slow into the next corner. Mike you shot up on the side of me very quick and nicely, I can see on replay. But in real time and with my sound I really didn't think you were on my side, but behind and to the side, and you were out of my mirrors so I swung right to get the next corner - pushing right into you. Luckily I got the worst of it, but man on the replay we both could have easily been in the wall, good job saving yourself!

Without my splitter I just wanted to hang on and I was suprised to be only 1.5 seconds off pace or so. OG got past and that's where it ended.

Tough night! Didn't start well when I CTD'ed as the server was going to Qualifying. Nice!

I'm trying hard to like Race07, but Lord it is a buggy sucker. I think I'm done spending money on anything using a current (or less than current in the case of Race07) ISI engine. Don't mind spending some $, but I do mind being annoyed by bad code.

Oh well; managed to get R07 going again and rejoin, but had traffic the few laps of Q I could get so my grid spot wasn't so hot. With that Mickey Mouse T1, being midfield for the start wasn't promising. Got a good launch against all the FWD cars and gained some ground, but when we all stopped to crawl through the corner I got kicked into the gravel from behind. Wasn't too deep in so it wasn't that bad, and I wasn't surprised since it was almost inevitable given the tightness of that corner. Just one of those things.

Got going and was in 5th until I dropped my outside wheels off in the right hander after the chicane straight. Lost a couple of spots but tucked back in behind Omar and Mike and thought I was ok as I followed them into the next corner. Unfortunately a car came from way back and just plowed me, so I had to rejoin in last. Busy first lap!

Yoyo'ed after that, moving up then falling back due to mistakes. Car was crazy loose and hard to pick up the throttle off the corners with, which felt a lot different than it had in practice. Didn't know why exactly, but I did all I could to to get it home in 7th. At least that would get me a good start for race two!

Sorry I couldn't race. I apparently discoed during qualifying even though I could still see cars on the track. Nonetheless, it didn't score my times and I waited too long to come back in. Oh well...

Thanks RA!....That was some nice racing!...I was finally able to qualify in the Top 10, changed some settings to the G-25 and made it more confortable for me to drive...I lost it twice and regained track but it was hard as I had some guys in the back, but very, very clean driving...
