Grats to podium..

This race as always was mental on the tyres... Amazing pace from the leaders..

My quali was fine, set a PB for myself and starting 5th wanted to finish 5th. No way i would challenge the leading group.

The front 4 had pulled a nice gap on me and after a teammate John pulled out the race, i had a 9-10 second gap to Dennis. Dennis must have not believed in his tyres and pitted, which left me watching C.Harts time to me for a while, then a few laps from the end, I noticed the time dropping, by atleast a second every lap.. This started to worry me and at about 5seconds the gap starting showing me the name of the driver, and it was Daniel! now i started communicating with my other Teammate darren, because Mark was passing him now, and i knew Daniel had marks setup, so this didnt sound good for me... I tried to find pace with the badly worn fronts but couldn't and was helpless to daniels pace..
On the last lap it thought i may have a chance, but daniel just pulled me in to the final corner where he tried the inside line and a pass, by this time i was screaming for the car to bite on the tarmac as i put my foot down and took Daniel on with a drag down to the chequered flag ... about 100 meters to go i realised it was mine, daniel had just slipped behind me... the relief! finally took a breathe after holding it for a minute there :))

Watching the replay i also see daniel spun it on Lap 4... To come back from that daniel you need a pat on the back , Drive of the day vote from me.. well done.

i had a pretty good race - thought i had 8th locked up but got passed on account i was on worn tires - and just so wanted to finish the event -

i saw one wreck early on - and almost was involved - WHEW
otherwise im glad to finish!

Not too chuffed with my quali but was happy to see I was good enough for 3rd. I got a good start and passed Joco but I nearly gave it straight back by taking a wide line not being sure if he was still on my inside or not. Just made it stick round the next bend and then I got into my stride pretty quickly and pulled away a little bit. Janko was away in front but I was able to nearly match his times on the good tyres, but once they started to go he was much faster. Then I noticed Mark had passed Joco for 3rd and was starting to chase me down. I knew from last season's race that Mark was very good in the second half on the worn tyres and I knew I was in trouble. I had done some testing, trying to change my set up for tyre longevity, and I was a bit better than last time but still not good enough to hold off Mark. I don't know how you did it mate, fantastic drive to still have such a good car at the end.
Grats Janko on another fine win.

this is my second race in V8 and love to watch the replays with thoses cars, they behave almost like Nascar, suspension work on curbs... hawsome, but i was afraid to miss the GTPC events earlier in season because of proximity i think mark did it, too close for me(chicken!!LOL). Started up practice earlier with Mark's set-up from site and tweaked it a bit(sway bars, wing, brakes) and was starting to get the hang of theses cars just before qual, just be smoooooooooth with everything. Like Heinz just said, i went wide in T1 on 4th lap and ended up 9th, so i was settling for a finish only, as i was trying to come back in touch with someone to have fun, i found out the car was getting better!!! my understanding of the car behaviour too, then i punt Trent and decided to wait for him to come back behind in a gentleman way, did choosed a better place to pass him after that, then got in contact with C. Harts and then with Heinz, crew have been calling worn tire for 6 laps or so, i was hoping not to get a puncture or something else, heinz and i were door to door in final corner, i knew he wouln't pull a stupid move, boy what a race!!!!!!!!! only 110 thousands of second difference!!!! Heinz got the best in straight probably cause i had wing set to 8..... THANKS HEINZ for the tap, i improved quite a bit this season!! thanks to guys on R2P who are always ready to help others :) really like it here!!!

I had a wing of 8 aswell .. I think my faster car was down to a different gear ratio .. i was not using Eastern creeks gear ratio :P

Qualified 11th but soon lost 2 spots at start. I was trying to follow up closely when the cars in front of me were involved in a punt and McClean's red Holden ended up crossed in the track, tried to pass inside but crashed to his front (sorry for that Mark*).

I had a puncture so I had to pit in L2 and when I went out to track again all the fast guys were right over me, so after letting them go I had an easy race trying to finish in a decent position. Finally 10th thanks to some DNF.

(*) Mark, I hope your quitting a couple of laps after I hit you wasn't because of car damage. Sorry if that was the reason :(

What a fun race. Congrats to Janko and Darren on their podium spots.

My 2nd V8 race this season and another poduim. Just wish i could do that for the whole season. :-) You guys are way too fast to let that happen. :-p

What a battle i had with Joco, it only took me 19 of the 26 laps to get around him. :-) Early in the race i tryed a couple moves on him, but Joco was pretty good out of the corners i couldn't make anything stick. I thought i would just kick back and see if Joco would make a mistake, but no joy. With 10 laps to go i deceided enough playing around it's time to get around Joco (i had no idea i would be able to catch Darren).

Darren and i had a real gentlemens battle in the last 4 laps (slick cars fighting for 2nd, you'd think someone would end up off track). I got around him and almost closed the deal, but then he had the good line so he got back around. Then with 2 to go i got him in T2.

Not really sure how my tires lasted so long, other then i was just tryed to be really smooth, getting my braking done early and let the car roll through the corners.

Yeah Mark, just like you told me to do, roll into the corner and i think that's why i was able to come back to heinz and almost clinch it!!!

@Francisco -- No m8 it wasnt because of that at all, At the end of lap 2 or 3 the pitcrew voice said "come in now for your stop and go" and i thought but i havent done anything, and then i remembered about some addon tracks that give you a blue flag warning even when there is no cars behind you so i decided to drive on.

And anyway by that time i had flew past the pits, so when i crossed the line to start the next lap the Game Disqualified me...But i think the exact same happened to John Passmore aswell because he got DQed crossing the line a few cars infront. I think Eastern Creek track may have a bug that we've just found.

Mark, did you and John maybe jump the start?
