Rob, I apologize, that was a stupid move on my part. I was all pissed off when I retired from damage caused by Bob Fay, then I went back and took a look at the replay and realized I had made a stupid mistake that ended someone else's race, so I have no right to be upset with someone else.

Another DNF. These cars are wicked...

I actually had a glimmer of hope here. I was not running in dead last and felt pretty good. At about lap 20 though, I had a persistant, unexpected knock at the door. Had to esc. out to answer said door. I plan on running more open wheel than anything else in s7 just because it`s what I am worse at than anything else.That makes a whole lot of sense huh?

My BMW engine expired :(

I haven't watched the replay yet, but I'm sorry about whoever it was (Rob?) that tried to go around me on the inside of the hairpin...and found me there...it looked to me through my rear view mirror that you were going to take me on the outside because you were on my inside of the turn leading up to it so I slowed down for you. Apparently you had planned to move over to the inside of the hairpin when we got to the braking point...again sorry...I should have stayed on the racing line.

I spent most of my time in the pits...my last pit resulted in my engine overheating while the crew tried to repair the damage. I'm finding it almost impossible to brake without lockup...if ABS remains off then there may be no point in my continuing in this series unless I find the cash for some better pedals (unlikely), or my project to upgrade my own pedals with a sort of force feed-back system works (likely). But, how would people feel about my using my computer engineering skills to develop a force feed-back system into my brake pedal?

Steve (and everyone... PLEASE), this is why I preach for you to hold your line. Let HIM make the decision when/where/how to pass. Your view of the situation is only through a peep-hole (aka mirror). He has at least a 19" monitor worth of a view to make the best judgment.

I too had a car in front of me try to let me pass by slowing at corner entry of a fast corner. Only thing that prevented it becoming a pile of carbon fiber was that I took to the sand-trap to avoid. This cost me a great battle with Tristan, and very likely a win. Please, I know most of you are not use to this statement from your other leagues, but "Hold your line"

I had another thing to bring up;
Damaged (as in missing wings or tires) cars should not be on the racing line trying to make it back to pit lane. If you are that broken, please use the ESC key or keep it off the racing groove.

I had a great race though, more on that in a bit...

Qual went about as planned. I chose last night to run the race on Mediums as the softs were no faster for me but the wear was much better on the mediums. Originally I was going to go for a 3 stop myself, but with chose to go with a 2 stopper instead. Both were about equal, but I was concerned about all the cars on track and having to re-pass some cars with the additional stop. I was expecting to run a 13.7 - 13.8 in qual but the shakes got the best of me. A mid 14 was all I could do on a proper lap. Kept locking the brakes and cutting the final chicane, so I aborted that lap and tried another. Never did get it right with the lower fuel.

Race start went OK until turn-1 where Tirsty snuck in there with out me knowing. By the time I figured out I had a car to my right I couldnt do anything about it. Great move Tristan! I had the best seat in the house to watch Fisher and Tristan go at it. They were slowing themselves so much that I was able to keep up their pace. Once Tristan got past and began to pull away my car started throwing a tantrum. I was having major difficulties dealing with the brake lockup and even had a minor half-spin at the hairpin. A nice battle with Fisher until he pit. I then pit a few laps later, but Fisher's fresh tires had him right back on my gearbox before I pit.

Had a nice battle with Heinz and others at mid race after my half-spin. I was able to finally get re-passed and pull a very small gap to them.

After David got his damage I was alone in 2nd place, 26 seconds back from the lead. I noticed I was catching Tristan at a half second per lap so I went for it. By my final stop (Tristan had pit the lap earlier) i was only 5 sec behind Tristan and after the pits back to the 25 or so with 24 laps to go in the race.

The last stint I drove like a mad man (Sorry Allen, I made a few bad choices as you well know) trying to gain time on Tristan. I got to within 5 seconds of him and turned it up again to maintain the gap. It was at this time that I had my encounter with the sand trap (it was either that or wreck) and lost 7 seconds. With 5 to go my hopes were lost. I did close the gap again to 5 seconds, but I needed another 5 or 6 laps to go after Tristan.

Very fun race, lots of traffic (which is good and bad) and tons of action for position. Tristan and I were side by side on the first lap, and Heinz and I spent a half-lap side by side racing for position. Not a usual thing in F1 type racing. Lots of new faces so we will all have to take some time to learn each others driving style. Take your time guys and enjoy the full fields again.

Congrats Tristan. You drove a great race and deserved that win. I was hopeful on a podium and Im pleased with a 2nd. I missed having Fisher up there with us, but it's nice to see he is not invincible for a change too.

I don´t know what it is with my 2nd laps. At Barca I got into problems and now at Montreal it was no different. A small blip in the game put me in the wall making me lose both wings and damaging my left front suspension. I made it back to the pits and again was a lap down on the whole field. :-( After that ... no big mistakes so I'm pleased with finishing in 11th in the end. Also found a way to handle all the downshifts in F1. I used to mess it up with a gear too much or to few on downshifts. This time, in practice, I counted all the downshifts I needed to do for every turn. So I didn't need to watch the Motecinfo ... I knew I had the right gear for that specific turn. Works fine for me. :-) Grats to Tristan ... first a win in fabcar and then in F1 is amazing. Grats to Tim and Leon also for getting on the podium.

I will wait to read Tim's race report before I scribe my own... I had too many unanswered questions otherwise as to what happened behind me.

I will take a 4th place finish with my debut race anytime. This was alot of fun, and some hard work aswell. But overall a great race.

I was looking for a faster time in quali, but on my very last flying lap with only a few hundred metres to go i was rear ended by brandon warren diving to pitlane, easily would have put me infront of him for the race, something i really needed after i found out in the race.

The race started well, and i was being over cautious, thus led to me and Bob fay swapping positions a couple times while being stuck in a train behind brandon. My teammate Leon was trying to get passed, but it looked so ugly at times i had to close my eyes simply because brandon was being extremely stubborn, and causing all sorts of line changes. Eventually brandon pulled away slightly and left me stuck behind leon and i knew i needed to get passed because i was being held up and was vulnerable to attacks from bob. finally got passed using good old boost and making it stick. Dropped Leon and Bob behind me and started my mission to catch Brandon, who on occasion was locking up and going off track, so i knew patience would see me get passed. Yeah, patience and nerves of steel, because brandon was going off track and rejoining like i wasnt even there, put both our races in serious jeapourdy.. once on the island on the second corner just went right across and almost chopped my nose off. I was getting Extremely irritated with his driving and knew i had to get away from him. It happened and I was gone like the wind.

Tim happened to have run into problems and was then my next target, I was sitting pretty in 4th and thought the race was just getting better.. I was keeping close to tim waiting for some glimmer of hope when all of a sudden coming out of the last chicane before the hairpin i lost the backend and put it in the wall, All that hard work gone, made it back to pits, put fresh tyres on and back ontrack was pumping out some solid 15's on a lighter car and once again got passed my teammate Leon.

After final stop, was too far behind tim to mount a challenge but still wanted to try catch him, and pulled an manageable gap of 15 seconds to Leon, when disaster struck again and I put it in the wall once more 6 laps before the finish..
Came out the pits and was right next to david fisher who had taken 4th from me, but i just seemed to drive right past and took it back.. Leon was 12 seconds up the road, and i was full boost lapping 14's trying to catch him again, but with no more time it was 4th for me. Still excellent result for us.
