Fabcar: Sebring

One of the most frustrating races ever due to the game giving me a big screw. Despite requesting for the pitstop half a lap ago and getting the confirmation that the crew is ready, I go into the pits to find someone already in my assigned pitbox. I had to wait 23 agonizing seconds before getting serviced. Thank you rFactor!

Does anyone know how to prevent this? Was it due to the track not having enough enough pitboxes? That seems highly unlikely as the pitroad is so long here.

Why not just have fixed pitboxes like n2003 I wonder? Just like the lame replay manager, this is where Papyrus have and always will have the upper hand on ISI products, they just don't use any common sense in designing their products. You're always left wondering 'huh, wouldn't it have been just made for sense to do it this' with so many aspects of their work.

Was the best result for me today. With only 1.5 hours of training in this mod in all my life, was great.

It was a fun race. Had good battles with Chris and Richard throughout the main portion of the race while I had a great one with Jeff in the final laps. It was a blast...but man, I just hate this track :P. Dunno what it is, but I just could not get the feel I needed to battle for the top positions. It felt lethargic and lousy out of corners which hurt me in many cases. Fortunately, I had no spins and had only one off trying to avoid Chris, who was spinning in the middle of the track. It was also a good points day for my teammate, Jerry, and I. The racing was clean also, no issues there.

Qualy : went well for me with my best lap yet in this car at this track.

Race : Started off well following my teammate trying to pick spots away from the guys in front but it seemed we kept getting the door shut so we went onto conservation mode and allowed the race to come to us. After 9 laps of pushing my teamate he had a problem and I scooted around him, then I got held up by the car in front of me and this allowed the car behind me to close that gap and pass me the next lap, I had a great battle with Johnstone for many laps until the first round of stops where I opted to run 1 extra lap to make up the split, but after my stop was done I exited right behind him again, so while trying to push over the limit I had a small off in the final chicane losing 6 seconds to the guys in front, after this I had a great battle with my teammate which resulted in us making contact in T10 with him spinning. Soon after after the second pit is completed is when all the fun started, many battle with many drivers with the best coming in the final 10-minutes with Connor, we traded positions 4 times in the last 4-laps, I got a run on him going down the backstretch we entered the final corner side by side with neither one willing to lift and conced,I being on the inside being pinched a bit in order to give Connor room it wasn't enough to bring home the Top 5.

Just wanted to say sorry for being slow and unprepared. Thank god i put in a few laps practice in yesterday and friday. Had a major issue when getting on to practice this afternoon. Noticed i had no power to my wheel. Then my eyes saw something that almost caused a death and sadness to my family. The nearlt year old cat i got for my kids last year chewed through the wires of my baby. My G25!! NOOOO This baby was only 1 month old. LOL Needless to say i spent almost 2 hours splicing the shit out of it. Spliced every cable going to pedals wheel and shifter. Was a great bitch but got her working. Just didn't have a setup or practice. So i appologize for being slow and feeling like i was just in the way. Was looking forward to this one too. Love these cars.

Wow what's with the critters chewing on our G25 cords? I had to splice mine up yesterday which put me out of the invitational race, I go into the Fabcar race today Q'ed pretty good (PB) was having some great fun racing with teamie Jeff (who finished great today) when all the sudden my pedals go bonkers again. Wasn't getting full throttle and the brakes were spuratic and damn near took out some guys (I forget who but I certainly apologize) when they completely went out and hope I made the field goal between them. That was all I could do was try to go between them. I will check the replay and formerly apologize. Pulled it off after that. Sure enough the little bastard dog had got the wires again! I should have had that taco last night 8P

LOL That's funny!! The irony only. lol Yeah caught mine gettin curious around my PC area the other day. Then the lil bastard must have had an all night chewing spree. Got through 3 of the g25 cables(which you now know is not easy to splice, like 4-5 tiny wires in each one), chewed through my mic/ headset wires also. My old lady's mp3 player cable(which might be the cats worst move yet!!) And 1 other USB cable. So now that lil bitch will be spending his nights in the basement. Hope you can get it figured out Barry. Mine seemed ok just didn't feel right. Wondering because the power cable was half intact, that it might have done more damage than i thought. I heard a nice electrical pop when first assessing the damage.

Try parking right next to the car in your pits next time. I have heard that the crew will service you both.

Pablo, word of recommendation -- don't flash your lights at lapped traffic! All it does is:

1. Piss them off
2. Violates R2P rules
3. Doesn't help you get around them

It is your job to make the pass regardless.
