Tough race for me, to many mistakes, hope I didn't
put a damper on anyone elses race.

Had a great qualification (P6)-race was going even better-was running in 5th almost the entire event when with about 10 minutes to go I spun off and while straighting my car ( I was still in the grass) I was hit in the back destroying my rear suspension. Dropped from 5th to 11th. Guess I should have pulled onto the track to turn around instead of staying in the grass, would have been safer!! (just kidding).

Qualy went well, beating Connor by a rose pedal for P2 ;-)

Race, went well for the first 15 laps keeping Connor behind me, I seemed to be quicker in sector 1 but he would close up on me in sector 3 and a small mistake at turn in made me breathe off the throttle allowing him to get a run on me going into T1 and I didn't contest it. I kept cranking lap after lap and a dog fight ensued with Jerry Chen, 60 figgin laps with this guy, I held the lead for most of the first stint but a lapped car slowed allowing me to pass in the second hairpin which caught me off guard and I hit him taking on damage, a few laps later the damage proved to be too much and Jerry got around me. Pit 1 comes and goes and the order doesn't change. The biggest hairiest moment came around lap 50 When My teammate and a lapped car on opposite sides of the road tried to allow me thru, when they both slightly lifted and I had to take evasive actions to avoid an accident, but I tapped the lapped car and this action nearly sent me into Washington.

This dog fight heats up more and for some reason I miss the 30 minutes to go signal pit, 8 minutes later while pitting taking on a full load of fuel ;-( ending my chances of making a great finish b/w the two of us.Great battle there Jerr.

Kuddos to the lapped cars for allowing smooth passing actions, great job by all today.

i was having lag problems but thought it would go away, span and got hit by a car. The engine stopped and wouldn't fire back up :\

Wish I'd been able to practice early for this race. Just been so tied up all weekend. Barry's setup made it easier or I'd been more lost. Lost a lot of positions at the start, but gained some later in the race due to people having problems with damage and gas mileage and got me an 8th. meh

Had fun racing Jeff for pretty much almost the entire race after Conor got by him. Had no problems with traffic at all, everyone did a great job. The traffic made it a lot of fun, especially battling Jeff and the splits while snaking through traffic. Made it really intense!

This was a particularly difficult race for me, as i always had Conor breathing down my neck the whole race through.

I got a good first few laps, and pulled a gap on Jeff and Conor as they battled through the first stint. Conor found his way by some 10 or 15 laps in, and I was roughly 8 seconds up by then. I watched with interest then as the gap to 2nd did not grow until the pits. Conor had indeed found a very fast setup. A blazing entry into the pits netted me a couple of seconds after Conor cycled through (2 laps later than me, interestingly... good fuel consumption on his part!), and I continued plugging away as fast as I could in the second stint.

Traffic was wonderful, but I owe I think it was Barry an apology, as when he pulled wide in the final corner to let me by on the inside, I accelerated wide and I think I pinched him at the exit, because when I looked back, his speed was way down.... I'm sorry Barry.

At the final stop, I only needed to throw in half a tank of fuel with fresh tires and got right on my way again. Conor and I had been swapping fastest laps up until then, so I laid down the best I could muster... and as the post-race time sheets show... it was only one hundredth of a second faster than Conor's best!! He kept the pressure on the whole race, and I could never relax because of it. Great work, Conor, I know you're going to flat out overtake me in pace here soon...

Great race guys. Grats on the win Tristan.

After a mediocre race in Sebring, I looked forward to Portland as I practiced there with the FABCARS when it first came out. But I chose to scrap the Sebring setup that was built to handle the bumps to more or less, a coil binding setup made for the same purpose. I don't know why I went this route but the car liked it and I enjoyed some decent speed out of it during offline practice

Unfortunately, I never got much practice during the week to really understand what the car would do over a long run. So I was basically thrown into the fire when qual started. Made the mistake of going out with a full tank so I came back in, which ran off a couple minutes of valuable track time. Came back out with the right amount of qual fuel and right off the bat, I clicked off a time that was only slightly slower than Jeff. The 2nd lap could have gotten me on pole since my 1st sector time was a tenth quicker than Tristan's, but I screwed up in the twisties and settled for 3rd.

For the first dozen or so laps of the race, I stayed behind Jeff while Tristan zoomed away. I didn't try to force my way by Jeff since it was a long race and I didn't really plan on fighting Tristan for the lead...but after a while, I knew I had the speed to get around him so coming out of the final turn, I drafted behind him and beat him into T1 as he gave it up.

After that, I started running some fast times that were comparable to Tristan. It kept me within a respectable distance that would have benefited me if Tristan somehow made a mistake or hit heavy traffic. I lost a little bit to him on the first stop since I came in rather calmly but on the following stint, I continued to keep up with him and keep the distance within reach. It increased a bit after I hit a major cluster of cars late in the stint and for the rest of the race, I couldn't really gain much back. But hey, it's hard enough to stay on the same lap with Tristan so I am quite pleased with being under 20secs from him after the finish :).

Nice race all in all. Traffic was great. No problems there. The track was awesome and well done...look forward to more races there :)

I hope I could compete with ya for the wins before the season runs out, Tristan. But we're coming up on some tracks that I am not too fond of or/haven't run much on which could force me into a situation like at Sebring. However, now that I am confident that I have a quality setup, I'll begin testing at those tracks to make sure I am comfortable with them.
