GTC65 Magny-Cours

Yes! My first podium finish.

Qualifying lap was very good so I took position 3. On the start I was pretty suprised by the Corvette's power. I just could't keep up with Joco and Scott on the straight. I was constantly under preasure by Elans but managed to get enough advantage on the straights. In the middle of the race I had 12 seconds advantage from the guy on 4th and he was gaining half a second per lap. So I sad, cool, that will be enough. As usual, I did a mistake so all those seconds dissapeared. I was very lucky then, when he made a mistake in the last corner and hit the wall.

Congrats to Joco and Scott and all the others.

Again, I'm very dissapointed on low number of contenders. I hope this is not the beginning of the end of this great series.

Qualifying:
Jumped into this car first time ever, so I expected to be near back.

Race:
Not much to say, had some fun with Donnie, but then he disappeared somwhere, and I cruised home to 5th, due to other people having some off's.

There was some bad language used in the race, not really impressed by that.

Congrats Scott on a double win this weekend. Oh and, did I mention Corvette is bit too cheap? :p

Well, big apology to Tadej, I punted you bad which pissed you off and I don't blame you. Sorry, that's all I can say. Also sorry to the guys behind me who probably held theiir breath as I braked to pull iover and wait.

Goodrace past that with CM and MR.

Grats to Scott for doing the 'double'. :) I was quite pleased to qualify so far up in the GT350 and thanks to some misfortune of others, found myself running as high as P4 at one point! Amazing! But it couldn't last and a couple of Elans recovered and demoted me. I settle into a nice pace with Enis' Stocker XKE keeping me company. I just pipped a kerb in the final chicane to let Enis thru but was ready to counter-attack when I was blue-screened disco'd. :( Sigh... That could have been a P5 placing, too, with only a small hit on the budget for the GT350. Next time... :)

Corvette is way too cheap for sure.
Still, I beat an equal car so I am happy with my performance, even on this God awful track.
Although admittedly flying through the air sideways in all 3 axis in a 2 ton American beast did bring a smile to my face ;-)
