Valencia 500k (GT/nGT)

Lol i was on waiting list and dunno how many guys involved. If there was absent guys i say big thanks to guys who didnt involve!...

Very nice race. Starting from pole, lead away from Jeff, but it was very close. On about lap 6 I caught first gear instead of 2nd and the car spun. Went down to third, got up to 2nd but was 10 seconds behind Jeff. Realed him in over the next 10 laps or so and then we had a superb fight. I couldnt get close to his 550 on the straight, but I was much faster on the twisty last sector. His tyres seem to be in a worse state tham mine and I got him down the curved straight down to the last turn. A couple of laps later we pitted and I lost out as Jeff again took the lead when I came out. I caught him up again, but it was much harder as he was on fresher tyres. Unfortunately I had slowly been developing a bad cramp / pain in my right wrist (no jokes please). On the straights I had been trying to move it around but it was getting worse. So at the 1 hour 20 minute mark, I pulled into the pits and parked it. Sorry to end a great fight Jeff, but I was in really bad pain in the tight sections and couldnt continue.

Certain individuals should watch their replays. Their racing lines took them across the line consecutive times, MANY times (I got up to 9 consecutive laps with a cut before I stopped watching). The big spots were the curbing outside the straight in between Curva 4 and 5, and the sharp uphill Curva 15.

It's bull, but the offenders probably won't ever see this post-race report. Anyway.

Planned on a one-stop race, and the Ferrari 360 GTC supported that decision beautifully. Even after the 1h 30m mark and the second "Worn tires" message from the pit chief, I was only 1.5 seconds off my regular pace. Good racing... John Dixon hammered me pretty hard in the final turn, sending me into the sand... but no harm done. Just some aero damage.

i have no idea what happened at the start , i was told to pass some cars and someone didnt like it , some porche kept comeingnext to me and slamming me after getting shoved around and comeing to the start line i decided to start last ,,,
above all that holy crap i love the long races -
finished but still dunno what i did wronge - as i saw the admins chat i was supposed to pas the nGT cars? - and i understood that..... but whenever i went to pass em in a safe spot thatone porche person was right there to make sure i didnt ...

I apologize to those I made contact with. George and I got together twice. Sorry, didn't mean to. I got confused when lapping a nGT, thought he was going to let me thru on the inside, he closed the door on me and I spun him. Again sorry. George was right behind me, and I got into a tank slapper. I can't believe how high George flipped into the air. Didn't seem like we hit that hard. George, I thought we had a pretty good race going, besides me running into you. This was my first race like this - mixed classes and that long. Next time I hope not to hit anyone. I was following Dennis near the end, and I could tell his tires were going off. I told myself not to look at his car when I came up behind him, but sure enough I followed him right off the track. That was really fun, except for me running into others. Geez, I feel like such a wiener.

Hmmm .... where shall I start. Yesss ... congrats to Jeff and Samuel for not only winning this race that gives your wrists like an unmarried man :-) but also for winning the championships. Well done and well deserved.

My race ... hmm, quali in 3rd was ok. Was awake at the start this time so during the first stint I was nicely cruising in 3rd. Did my first stop after one hour of racing with only 0,3L in the tank when I stopped at my crew. During the second stint I had to start saving some fuel cos I knew Jeff and Michael were on a 3-stopper. Then a nasty incident happend between Michael and me while we were lapping John Onofrey. The stupid game sent me airborne again and the whole thing costed me about 12 secs. No problem there Michael. Those things just happen and I knew it wasn't intentional. Would have liked to have those 12 secs though in the 3rd stint when Jeff left the pitlane after his last stop. Now he was on my bumper for about 10 laps with still about 30 minutes to go. That really was some great racing indeeed Jeff. I enjoyed it very much. It's so hard to overtake on that track and I managed to keep Jeff behind me and in the meantime still trying to save some fuel. Then I went on the throttle a bit too soon and slammed the car into the barrier. Puncture and a crawl to the pits over about 3/4 of the track. That stunt costed me 2 places. So I was tempted to say YES when the steward suggested to restart the server. :-) Was great fun this.

Wow this was a heck of a race, I want to throw a couple of really well deserved grats, Sam it was a pleasure racing with you again, George, Man we had an awesome battle today and all of S4, your a worthy competitor and i look forward to S5, John O, You showed some great sportsmanship on the track today, well done,And Mr DiPino, your perserverence on doing 2 series is amazing and a good finish to show for your efforts. Kudos!
Qualy, There was a duel b/w john D and me, with John winning, that was an amazing lap!
Race starts out and john and me are racing like its a sprint, hectic pace then he loops it into 5, I assume the lead, then john widdles it down to zilch, i get loose on the worn rears and john gets around, i follow him for 1 lap and pit, my crew got the job done faster than they had all S4, i turn a couple of laps on which i tend to set my cars up for cold tires and it worked sweet as i pass the pit i take over P1. then not much to report in stint 2 but for the life of me R2P had the wrong info posted, thanks tim :) *heart attack* so at lap 78 when the checkered flag refused to wave i had 1 lap of fuel left, then the battle of the day, george and me, there was at least 16 laps of us nose to tail, both of us diving into turns and getting beat on exit, amazing set of laps there george, this will go down as some of the best racing in s4 in GT-O

Grats Jeff on the ch'ship. Its a pity that i couldnt be involved last 2 races. I saw some peoples comments that u were very competetive in this race. I was on waiting list and I am sorry that i missed that race. When i look the result i see 2 gt didnt show up. I am not happy lol :| ...
