Canadian Grand Prix

Was having a great battle for 9th. Place with Brian F. and M. Ericksson and an overly aggresive move by Steve S. took me out of contention for this position...With a damaged suspension I managed to keep at a very steady pace...Laps later Audrey pushes me out of the way, spinning and damaging more my car and I ended up in 13th. place...

Anyways, had a great season and hope to see you all again next time...

Congratulations to George on a dominant victory this season.

My race ended on lap 4 when I took what must have been a fraction of a virtual inch too much curb at the fast esses after the bridge. Left rear gone and race over before it even started.

I guess I should take the hint that these cars don't like me, a shame as I seem to go reasonably quick in them until I stuff it into the wall. The number of DNF's I've had this year has been appalling considering the number of times I have had top 5 pace. Due to this large number of DNF's and the fact that this series will have a rank restriction next season I will not be returning for more punishment.

I bid you all adue.

BTW I'd like to applaud the driver who held me up TWICE in qualifying, class act mate. Not only did I let you go once to build up a gap and give you room you decided to not return the favour when I caught you not 2 laps later. A less considerate person would have probably punted you out of the way. I suggest you take heed.

Great mod, great car. Was running 6th when my computer crashed.
Made two mistakes while following Aubrey in the early part of the race: busted the front right in one instant and the rear right in an other. Car was damaged pretty bad but I could lap within 2 seconds of my healthy pace and stay comfortably in 6th.
Then the b_gger b_gged out on me. B_gs.

Great battle with Steve in the early laps. My car seemed to work better with heavy fuel, but I began to fade as it burned off. Passed Jeff when he had a spin coming off the hairpin.

Built up what I thought was a comfortable gap, but I had some trouble with a certain lapped car that kept blocking me, finally swerving into me coming off the hairpin. Plenty of track to your left, chum. And don't call me 'Audrey'.

Anyway, that made things interesting. As Jeff made his late pit stop and late charge I was sweating bullets as he got within a second of me before spinning again in the hairpin. Ouch! Nice drive in spite of it. :)

Grats To George for a dominating season and his second championship in CCWS.

I felt good about this race, I knew I didn't have George speed but knew I had something for the podium. Qualy went well, got a good lap in then I pitted, came back out, hunted down a slower car at the hairpin, I stopped and waited for clear track only to catch him again next lap.

Race, started off well, paced myself but threw away a good lead in 3rd for a spin in the hairpin, sat behind Aubry for quite a few laps until we reached lap traffic, I opted for a different pit strategy and dove for the pits early, wasn't sure how this would work, then with 12 to go I make my final pit, get serviced in 6.7 seconds, big pat on the back to my crew, I hunted Aubry down again, got on his gearbox, had him set-up to pick him off at the end of the back stretch, but looped it in the hairpin b/4 I could pull it off. Nice run Aubry and grats on your 2nd place finish in S7.

Id like to throw out a way to go to 2-drivers, Yuri Korn & Barret Erickson for becoming predictable and dependable drivers, they have shown huge improvements in their racecraft since race 1.

I had a very comfortable car, was running a solid 7th
until I got nailed exiting turn 2 after the first round of stops. Steering was 20 degree off for 20 laps, Roughed it and dropped back 3 positions.
Good time though, had a great time the whole season, Thanks all!

Omar, although I will take responsibility, it was not my intention to make a move like that. I was planning on passing Mike E. under braking into the hairpin and then drafting pass you on the back stretch. I anticipated that Mike E. was going to farther to track left when braking for the hairpin, but he did not, he stayed about track center for a little longer than I thought he would. No fault of his, he may of not seen me, or maybe thought I was Brian F. and Mike may have been trying to protect his position. Anyway, Mike E. braked a tad earlier than me, and that caught me off guard. I had to take evasive action to prevent running into the back of Mike E. and that made the car all squirelly and unfortunately I was not able to slow enough to prevent contact. Again, my fault entirely, but please beleive me when I say that I had absolutely no intention of dive bombing you or Mike E. at that point. I realize at the thime from your perspective that it looked like I was being an ass. I ask that you review the replay, lap 38, time index 51:35 and make your assesment. I would be greatful to hear your interpretation of the events. I will surely something from from hearing your commentary. Thank you in advance.

Great win George, and grats on another Championship. I wish I had the skills to run at your pace so I could at least make it interesting for you.

Aubrey, yes, you had me white knuckle driving for the first few laps. You were definately MUCH better than me on cold tires and full fuel. I thought you had me for sure when you nudged me in the hairpin - it was a perfect move on your part - I guess I had just enough speed to keep you at bay into the final chicane, lucky me! I need to learn to be a tad more aggressive in the opening laps. Great driving Aubrey!

Had a couple decent practice sessions. Always running race trim. Just could never find the speed to compete. I hate Montreal in F1, CCWS, Lark racing. Whatever.... Good track theres just a few corners i just never feel comfy in.
Lap 1, an impatient individual, like always, pulling the first lap hero deal. Tried pulling a last minute pass going into a corner. Of course he went long and clipped my front wing. Also found out he cut a chicane and passed my teammate doing this. So raced the first 20 laps with front damage. Not fun. Spun myself one time in the first 10 laps. Then kept it clean. Started taking one at a time. Fought my way back from 15th to finish 7th. Just glad to finish this one. Truly believed this would have been a definate dnf. Just cuz this track haunts me.
Had one time where i was entering one chicane, got really loose and had a leader behind me. Think it might have been Steve. Anyway got really loose exiting, and just moved to the side. held you up enough and didn't want to take you out with me. Saved it, but wasn't a good place to let you by. I just figured i was already slowed, so i might as well just let you go. Sorry if it wasn't the best place to let you by. Just didn't want to hold you up.

Another fun race! Enjoyed the battle with Omar and Brian. Steve, I knew it was someone coming up to lap me so I wanted to give room while still trying to keep up with, and maybe pass Omar on the straight. My intentions were to let you pass on the inside coming into the hairpin. With Omar and I having a good battle going on, most of my attention was on the traffic in front. You were of course a lot quicker and brake later than me, and I see why, with me near center, you had to make that move quickly to the inside. I saw your move in the mirror and hoped you could make it. Sorry for that one. Great race and finish Steve! and congrats to George! Also grats to brother Barrett on a nice finish.
