GTx: Monza

Didnt do a good qual ended 2nd... Start was OK but when i tried to put into 4th gear at first it didnt go, stupid wheel.. bumped that stick more and got 4th eventually :P

So now 2nd behind Tolga, got him in that fast chicane on the outside... opened a gap... wondered why others pitted way before what i thought was halfrace.

Taking all the fuel needed for end of race i ended behind Tolga when i got out of pits. Was gaining nice on him, but to my surprise the race ended with 12mins to go... would be a nice fight, but... guess i should have seen somewhere it was limited to 36laps only.

Race was going ok but all the boys chose Vipers so they obviously know something I don't! Anyway I trusted my Lister to just do consistent laps and it was going well and I think I was good for a top ten but on about lap 22 as I braked into the first chicane it just went bang. Black smoke everywhere, sorry to anyone who got blinded by that. That's my first ever DNF due to anything other than a disconnect so I suppose I was due one. I'd never even considered the possibility of that happening since it never has before, lesson learned.
Grats to the podium especially Heinz for salvaging something for us in this race.

can't believe

in lap 2 o 3 I put a wheel in the grass braking to T1 and go straight, but I wait to no overtake others cars, EVEN I LOSE ONE position, but the fucking game puts me a stop and go penalty !!!

25 laps later, when I was in fourth position in my pit in lap, I drive in parallel with much fast 5st and I tried to let him pass, but I cut the second chicane and another stop and go

at this moment only 1,5l remain in my tank and when stop in box I can't refuel, the game only let me do the stop and go. INCREDIBLE !!!

Really annoyed by my connection loss,tried to rejoin but was told i can only join in practice sessions,probably race had started anyway.This is only the 3rd disco ever at r2p and 1st in gtr2.I thought i might have got a reasonable result too.

Good race, thought id go for the Viper to get an advantage over the C5s, but as Darren said they all went for one too!!

Race went well, made up places when a few people infront had problems with warpy cars, but at the pitstop i threw it away by having a mare of a stop, took 100l of fuel when i didnt need half of it, but ah well.

Left pits and straight into a battle with George, enjoyed that. Near the end Donato caught and passed me in the F550 but i thought id get that back at the last bend when it looked like he might run off at parabolica, but he held it and hung on to 10th.

Congrats to Tolga and Ari in the Viper.

Went with the Viper for this one since it has a powerful engine, albeit a fragile one.

Qual went great, I don't think there was anything left for me to improve.

Start was good, I got one place. I was struggling a little on the first two laps, and Brian got ahead. Scott was up next, he was pushing me enough so that occasionally I had to be careful on turn-in to not get collected. Eventually we got alongside in Ascari (I think he found the smallest gap possible), I got a little nudge and went into gravel, down to p8. Scott was also lagging at times, causing his car to freeze on the road. One time it caught out Claudiu and me, on other times I just avoided it.

I was down somewhere like p9 and fighting to shake off Darren in my wake but I managed it eventually. Mark had also got past me in the lag accident and I couldn't do anything to close the gap. Luckily my stop went great and it got me up to p4 but the mishaps early on cost me enough time so that Scott&Rob caught me up and got by fairly easily as I was struggling on old rubber.

I suppose p4 would have been possible with a clean first stint but at least I won in the crap car department of the top 5 in standings... and no lockup like last week.

Pablo, you need to do the waiting off track, before you re-enter the racing surface, to avoid the penalty. If you want to make a normal stop instead of a penalty, at the top of the pitboard there should be "stop'n'go" with options yes/no. Toggling that will let you choose the type of stop.

This was a nice race.

I was not fast enough in my usual car, saleen, and knew this was potentially gonna be a 550 fest. If you cant beat em, join em.

Got a nice 5th in Q .. not expected, but welcomed.

Race started well, think i got slightly held up getting off the line, Donate didnt get off very well. this led to Ari getting a good run up the inside into T1 ...

Donate looked like he outbraked himself and ran off wide, the pack was still a little bunched, but was very clean into and out..

From here, the top 3 dropped me, and i pulled away from Brian... Stayed relatively easy for me having to just keep it on the road.

At pits I was wondering if Rob A. still had pit demons .. When i popped into his 3rd place, i knew something had gone wrong again, but good result for me.

Congrats to podium, well deserved.

Had a good first stint, was able to stay in touch with Tolga, but Janko had put on a gap on us, Heinz was about 9-10 seconds back so it was looking good.

Went into the pits right behind Tolga, hit pit limit button, but apparently it didn't go on or something and that was that. Exited pits and got a stop and go for pit speed violation, podium shot was over, salvaged the race as best I could.

Was still a lot of fun. Great racing everyone.

Couldn't get the times i have done in the past. Pitted in 5th place and finished 8th. Somehow i lost 30-40 secs in my pit stop and i dont know how. I did change my tires maybe others didnt?
