Yahoo, 2nd NGT! Pushed RSR real hard, Mark Maclean was my opponent here, we were close for the whole 2 hours. Forgot how much more fuel the car drinks this way. Had to short shift for the last 10 minutes and finished with 0,7 l of fuel in my tank. :D
1st Ferrari was too fast for me, though I could match the pace for the first half or so. Nice and fair driving everyone. Sorry to GTs, I had to keep that pesky Maclean behind, lol, so I might have not jumped outta way at once.

1st of all, grats to podium finishers. Results aren't up yet but I know Krueger won the ngt class. Grats man.

I thought I had a good run and race pace but obviously, I'm way off. The last 3-4 races I've done everything right. Good race pace (I thought), getting to pit road well, good pitstops , good out lap, 1:39-40 race laps and at around lap 60 I'm 57 sec behind next position and Krueger comin up to lap me IN THE SAME CAR I'M IN!. WTF. I can't begin to tell you how discouraging it is.

What an exciting race allthough I didn't have a real fight. In the first stint I had Paul behind me but the gap was slowly increasing. Jeff and Jan were in front but all of a sudden Jan left and I was 2nd behind Jeff. Looks like he splitted the race in 3 equal parts. I had chosen another strategy. Two runs using all the 100L and then adding the final 44 liters needed and not changing tyres at the second stop. That worked out fine. Pitted with a lead of about 38 seconds but I knew it would be hard to beat Jeff with that. When I left the pitlane Paul and Jeff went by and I was in 3rd again. But I knew Paul had to stop one more time for a splash cos he pitted for the first time with still 63 minutes to go. In the end ... 2nd was my share. Driving good and not making any mistakes just wasn't good enough to beat Jeff. Well done on that win. Also grats to Sam for winning nGT and a big thumbs up to everyone for making the overtakings possible. This was my 4th race within 22 hours. Damn ... my back hurts. :-)

What a race...very stressful...
Well, got the pole, the fastest race lap and the new track record I couldn't hope for anything less than the win and i received that, this probably wont be repeated but...Ill take it.
After a couple of sessions trying to find speed i just settled in to be comfortable with my set-up. Qualy starts and my first lap is close to the pole, I go out for round 2, get the pole, I am very satisfied with my time, by far 0.8 faster than I ever went around this circuit b/4, 5 minutes left i decided to throw it all away and try 1 more lap and go after track record, like i really have a fat chance, then by the slimmest of margins I got it.

The Race starts I get off to a good pace, I have Jan on my gearbox for nearly 25 laps until he fades away due to technical difficulties or something, That was tight racing! I pit, and all goes as planned, exit in P4 and the chase goes on, i hunt down the next 2 cars and then head for P1, Paul as i found out was on a 1 stop strategy, and at that point i knew i couldn't give up a half a second the rest of the race, with 15 to go he is 14 seconds in front, i put my head down and with 8 to go I am on his gearbox, we go side by side for many laps, we had several laps with late turn ins and early apex, give and take, then i tapped him going into 9 when i think he was breaking early due to worn tires, I wait & let him resume the lead and wait for my moment, I get the chance and never looked back.

Thanks to HRH for putting on a great series.

Not much to tell about this race , didn't have a setup so i took the Barcelona set which turned out to be pretty decent here. Got the pole and after a good start my race was mainly about controlling the gap behind and let the GT's go through safely.

Can't say it was an easy race since Tom O and Mark were following quite close allmost the whole 1st stint , last few laps before the pitstop i could extend the gap because of the tirewear step into picture i believe.

After pits the gap went up pretty much and then it was just a matter of bringing the car home , went a bit tight on fuel and had to save some in last laps , just to be sure that i can do that 1 extra lap if the GT leader escapes the flag just before time runs out.

Grats to Jeff , George and Paul for GT podiums likewise Tom and Mark for 2nd and 3rd in nGT.

Happy to take the win and secure the tittle for nGT class before the last race , thank you all for the good racing and cya in season finale hopefully... ;)

Congrats to Jeff and Sam for their wins and to the rest of the podiums and finishers.

Real life intruded some in the morning of the race so I missed
basically all of practice but just used qualifying to turn laps to try and get the feel. Made a bad tire selection for my fronts for the first stint and by the time they got warm, the 550 crew had checked out. Being heavy on fuel helped me to get some spots back when the leaders began to pit. The race was contest between myself and Roman for 4th and 5th. He just had too much on the straights and got through traffic a bit better than myself. Anyway, pretty happy with the 5th place and more importantly, only two laps down to el campion del mundo senor Stibling.

GT2 guys were great although had a flashback to my stock car days going 3 wide with Hibner and another GT2 competitor. What a blast!

This wasn't the race I thought I was going to have. I thought from practice that I was going to be a little closer to the leaders, but that wasn't the case.

I had a setup that treated me well, but I was simply unable to stay consistent and keep the car on the track. I was confused (suprise!) at the begining by the rain clouds, and started with intermediates. Realized it wasn't going to rain and jumped in and got some dry tires. Most of the race I was happy running around at the back. The biggest issue was T8 and T9. Oh my.

I appoligize to anyone who had the misfortune of driving near me while I was going through T8. I was pathetic. I said to myself during the week while practicing that it was going to be a pain in the arse.

The leason learned it that there are some corners that I will need to practice more with others, as all the solo practice in the world won't prepare me for those situations.

Sry for leaving all...banged the wall on lap 18, thought that was it, but amazingly the car was ok?!? Are we running no damage in the series?

Anyway...pitted a third of the way into the race, but managed to get a stop and go since I have no clue where the pit stopped...floored it before the green lights...never should have done that.

Couldn't concentrate after that and dropped out. Rediculous move, I know...usually never do that.

Btw, great race we have Jeff...looks like we're very equal on pace but car faded a little, as you mentioned, towards the end of the fuel run and had to let you go.
Too bad you didn't screw up more when the backmarker decided to give you a clallenge in the slow, double apex, left hander towards the end of the lap...lol ;)

Jan, with GTR2 limiter switches off automatically as long as you have put it on in the first place. After fueling up and changing tyres just floor it in 2nd gear down the pit straight and you are back in business after passing pit end line.
