Delaware 150

That was, well interesting. Kind of sucked for about 110 laps, but those last 40 were fantastic. I had a great time racing between the two Andersons, clean racing guys and I appreciate considering. I really wanted those last 5 laps though, but I was in 5th when the last caution came out, and after the green/white/checker I finished fourth, and after this demo derby, and seeing what my car looked like at the end, I'll take a top 5 anytime.
I did spin a few times, though just about each time I was behind another crash, and slamming on my brakes caused me to spin wildy. As for the beginning, I think that was my fault. not sure what happened, but I ended up jumping in the cockpit of another car, can't explain it, but sorry about that. The racing was interesting, lap 72 I think was the big one that I was behind, caught up a little in it, but then going to the caution I rearended someone, not sure who, but someone in front of them spun and caused an accordian action. The only other thing was that at least twice on the restart, it would say going green next time by, but then cancel without warning, almost wrecked once with that.
There were some bright spots of the racing, and like I said, nothing more thrilling than a green/white/checker, espcially with everyone pitting for four tires.

man what a crazy but fun race. i'm looking forward to the next one kinda. I'm sorry to anyone i got into. if my spotter could walk over and talk to their spotters during the race...he'd be apoligizing for me :) that was a great race, i ended up watching it til the end. 2nd and 3rd had a great battle until the accident on the front stretch. That was the most fun i've had in a while. Again, i'm sorry to anyone that might have become a part of my misfortune.

Not a clean race from my car.I had a damage all the way around.Was looking good though till the last yellow when greg and i where running hard for the 2 spot.But somone was up in the wall stoped at the start finnish line and that was the last of greg.To bad too(was fun)
But when I left the pits i spun the tires and hit 39 before the exit to the pits(Had 2nd,and was looking to race Dan for the win) and had to do a drive though with 2 laps left...Finnished a crapy 7th.......!

Some drivers really need to think about there race and how it effects every one out there!!!!

Tried to stay out of trouble.... it didn't work. I got caught up in a couple of the bigger wrecks caused by who-knows-what up in front of me. I think I could have settled into a Top Five... but a 10th ain't bad either.

Seems like too many guys tried to race without turning a lap offline. This place is tough enough without having some practice under your belt.

I'm off on a trip next week, so we'll see you at Daytona.

Dan drove a good race, and persisted through some difficulties to grab the win...well done! But this race was waaayyy too ugly...much moreso than it should have been. This is a tough track - no bones about it. But that should accentuate our efforts to make sure we have the car under control, even if it means sacrificing some speed or track position to do it. Once the race starts, it is encumbent on YOU as a driver to run that race first and foremeost under control so as to not be a hazard to others. Way too many folks making drastic, erratic lane changes as they chased the car here and yon. We can do better...and we will do better. And if you had considerable difficulties tonight, be sure to get a lot of seat time in the Cup cars for Saturday, or it will be even uglier - those cars are much more of a handful after they get some laps on the tires.

Had a very good car tonight. Overcame some track position difficulties, some of my doing, some not, to be hotly contesting for second palce. Tom M was doing an excellent job using just exactly the pieces of track that I needed (I swear he was driving a double-wide!), and we had a heckuva race going over the last 10 laps or so...until, as we crossed the S/F line, he suddenly moved left and I discovered why...a car parked right on the line facing me. No time to react, and I hit it a ton...never even saw what car it was (blue and yellow, I think, but that may have just been my socks flying up in front of me from the impact). Killed the car deader than a doornail. One of those nights where you run much better than you finish.

Got my best finish of the year tonight with a 2nd place. Felt very fortunate to get that. I knew that this race with the short track and a high number of entries was going to have some cautions early. And I was able to survive without any major problems, and put myself in a good position. During one of the cautions around the halfway point Tim Collier and I (teammates) stayed out and it ended up working beautifully as it got us both into the top 5. From there on I was never any further back than 7th. I had a great battle with Larry Anderson and R. Jordan near the end of the race ... we were 3 cars under a blanket for 5th place. Then the caution came out, and I came in to get 4 tires. Came back out in 5th on the final restart, and made it to 2nd with a nice last couple of laps. Larry Anderson could have used me up coming off Turn 4 on the last lap, but he raced me clean and I REALLY appreciate that. I wont forget it Larry and thank you. Attached is a screenshot of Larry Behind me coming off 4, for an All ANDERSON 2nd and 3rd behind Dan.

I was running in the middle of the pack. I thought I was doing well. I pitted on a yellow. I exited the pits and got a double red arrow penalty for speeding. I drove around to enter the pits. I entered pit road to serve my penalty. Another yellow flag came out at the same time. I stopped in my pit box to serve my penalty. However, I got penalized for pitting when the pit was closed. I exited the pits and got back in line under the yellow. My window still showed a double red arrow penalty. I drove around and re-entered the pits to serve my penalty. I remained the speed limit and I did not stop in my pit box. I exited the pits without speeding still under a yellow. I still had a double red arrow in my window. I got back into formation for the green flag. I tried to pit on a green the next time around, but a car was on the inside and I could not move over to pit. I tried to go around again to pit. I was the DQ'ed after I crossed the finish line on lap 64. A very disappointing race for me. I am unclear on what I am required to do when I get a double red arrow in my window. DO I have to stop in my box or can I just drive through pit road at or below the speed limit? What do I do if the yellow flag comes out as I am entering the pits?

My second long Nascar race and it was better than I expected, and I could obtain better position if I would wait for the last caution to pit.
It was too late for me 5am when race finished so my main fight was with no getting sleep.

The cautions were a bit disappointing, would have like to seen things get spread out, which should have prevented more cautions. Kept my clean for most of the race, minus running into the back of Tom Malanga during a muffed restart. Sorry for that I really had no time to react, I was kinda pulled back a bit and by the time green flag should have came out, I already had a head of steam.

At about lap 95 I pushed it too hard, hit the outside wall in turn 4 just hard enough, to send me towards the inside wall. Bounced off that down the front straight, kinda grabbed the car to get back going straight. But unfortunately I slid up right in front of Greg Carrier's path, and he had no where to go. I ended up sideways into turn 1 at the top of the track, trying to hold it up there to prevent sliding back in front of people. Unfortunately, Larry was waiting for me to slide back down, and when I didn't he couldn't help but hit me. Sorry, Greg and Larry for any damage you got from that, that was my bonehead mistake of the race.

Even with that, stayed on the lead lap, and on that final long run things were looking good. I decided to chance it, and short pit for some fresh tires, not knowing if anyone else could make it. Unfortunately, caution came out at the end, putting me a lap down and killing my strategy, not that I would have probably done much better.

Overall, the car ran well. Got outside front row, and had the fastest lap of the race. I'm looking forward to the cup race, just hoping that we'll all take it a bit easier, including myself, and get some green flag runs.
