Daytona 150

Hey guys, sorry to DNF but windows update kicked in right at the moment when the safety car was about to pull off and I figured rather than cause any more damage than I might have already done I black flagged myself for a dangerous technical problem ;)

My race was actually going quite well up until the first caution came out. I must admit I was a party to that.

Comming down the back-stretch I was at the back of a gaggle of cars and just like the Red Sea parting the cars infront started tearing off left and right. A bright red car came through the middle like a dropped rock and I had to swerve at the last moment to avoid broadsiding him. I flew down the apron and onto the infield and it took all I had to hold the thing straight and nurse it back on track.

Took a pitstop for damage, stayed out at the second caution. DNF'ed before it went green again.

Thanks for the fun whilst it lasted. Got some good shots of you all from the grandstands so will filter through them and find the best 3.

Awesome, Awesome Car. I had about a 5th place car. I don't know if I had the pure speed of the leaders or not. This and Indy are the races I look forward to the most during the year. This is the most disappointing of all.

I got turned around after hitting the bump in 4 slid into the inside wall, but no yellow flew. Pitted under the green and lost two laps.

I got up to 14th place, then latched onto Tim. We ran great in practice and it seemed like he liked to be pushed by my car. We caught up to the 2nd pack, then I got pinched into the outside wall trying to make an outside pass.

The final nail in the coffen was with three to go, I was the third of three that hit the wall off of two and I couldn't hold it, spun through the grass and broke the suspension. This time, I didn't want the caution and got my wish.

I'll be working the next two Wendesdays, so we'll see you at Atlanta.

Jeremy I am really sorry about what happened. I ran somewhere near 100 laps of practice leading up to tonight and I honestly had no idea that safety barrier stuck out right there. Entirely my fault. Honestly, that's two races in a row I've been in and something horrible has happened. If you guys want me gone, just say so and I'll be gone.

I had a good race. managed to avoid the accidents and work my way up to 9-10th place. On lap 57 I was taken out (purposely, im pretty sure) for 10th place exiting turn 4. Ended up finishing 12th. Well good racing guys.

My teammate Torquemada had a lil bit of trouble. I'm thinking he was taken out. I'm not sure what happened. We hooked up on the 1st or 2nd restart and then that was the last time I saw him.

Torquemada definitely gave me a killer setup for this track, thx man

no glitch in turn 4, the real track makes the real cars do the same thing on the bumps....they talk about in real life that one of the keys to your setup at daytona is rolling smoothly over the bumps coming out of turns 2 and 4......watch the gatorade duels tomorrow. They'll mention it

Well not sure what happened there. Had a good race going, was having a great time drafting behind Carrier for a number of laps, then we came up on some other cars, one of them was on the high groove, possibly a lapped car. need to check on the replay as I didn't see who it was, but all of a sudden it was like they turned dead left into me, hit me just enough to spin me into the wall. Didn't think I hit hard, but the rear tires were flat and I was done. I guess that is somewhat karma from last week, but still a little dissapointing. Still a fun series, and I'll look forward to next week.

My race was going well as I was just trying to keep the car at one piece for the final laps. Lost the draft and was almost getting lapped when the caution came out. That should be a breack. But the cars were still all over the track when I came and I had to go to the grass to avoid, spun, and after that the RR tire was on red and as I tried to go away the car keeps spinning again as the SC was coming to lap me.

After that was just drive to the finish.

Sorry for Dan that left the lead draft because of me and for Melton that I almost spun him twice. Sorry man, I was on the outside and you moved your line, I thought I was still behind so I did't lift of the gas. And in the trioval I guess you went high and I went low. Sometimes it happens...

And that last lap spin, I saw that the fuel was going to run low and forgot that I was 2 laps down, So I started to adjust to no tires pit-stop and low fuel, while driving with the other hand. Guess it didn't work. Lol

I was watching the replays of the other races, just crazy to go racing toguether. Was really fun. Thanks for having me, this was a great time. Hope to join the races to come.

Hey Riley, if ur saying that i took you out, i did not. Exiting turn 4 like the other 57 laps, there is a glitch or whatever that causes cars to get loose and sverve. Going into T3 I was running the low line and somehow you forced yourself to get under me to pass. I held my line because you could have passed me on the outside. My car did sverve in T4 becasue of the track but it was not intentional.

Back to the race, I ran quite well all night. At some points, lapped down cars would try to force themselves into the draft with lead lap cars and almost took me out once or twice. This was quite a large field for a race and from what I saw was quite clean except for a few cautions.

Sorry Richard that was me. I hit this out side barrier (It bows out into the track) trying to stay way right and it sent me right into you. I parked it after that. Chuck slamed me UNDER YELLOW. That was that. Great Finnish Tom!

No lucky day for car number 41, had many problems and damage, but managed to finish.
I´m glad Riley could get 12th place with my setup, at least all my practice was not useless.

I had a pretty good race up til about the last 20 laps. I was just riding waiting to try my run at the front when some shit hit the fan.
Sean no need to go anywhere I kinda lost my cool but I have to have some passion for this or it wouldn't be fun for me. Its a done deal, on to next week.
