California 150

I was having a great time with this race. Was enjoying myself next to the sister Holiday Inn car of Fridley and I think Martin as well in battling for 5th and 6th spot. Spun it in qualifying, made it up to 2nd at one point and raced for 5th most of the race. Really was having fun in this race, the last half was perfect, but I was behind Fridley with the last few laps, and got it a little loose coming out of 2, spun it around, hit the wall and I guess destroyed the suspension, couldn't get it going and I know at least Danzer got into me, so I'm sorry you got caught up in my wreck. I'm having a lot of fun with this series, just waiting for the day when I can take the yellow stickers off the rear bumpers.

good race. Qualified poorly

was able to work my up to 4th through pit stops, and had good heart pounding battles with a few guys for the entire race. Felt good to be able to hang up front.

able to maintain top ten throughout the race and last restart I restarted 5th, but had a poor right front tire and was pushed back to 7th by people with fresher tires and raced to the line with someone..not sure who....ah it was barisoff. he got me by .092 secs :)

I was debating the whole time on the last restart whether I should pit and grab right sides, but decided not too at last minute. Maybe it could have turned out differently.....but that's nascar

EXCELLENT RACE!

I had a blast out there! Rileys nailed it about the heart-pounding action. There were times when I thought I was gonna wreck. I drifted up the track once and got into somebody--I think it was Messick--sorry about that! Other times I was in the middle of a scrum and my tires held! I couldn't beleive it.
During the restart on LAP 43 my foot got caught between the clutch and the brake--so I had a slow start; guys were passing me on the left and right, then they had to slow down, because you can't pass before the start/finish . . . so they hit the brakes and I floored it . . . because I'm evil.
Of all the races I entered thus far, that one was the most satisfying. Guys raced me clean--and I hoped that I did the same to them . . . no worries, no scars, just a clean car!

Missed pretty bad on the setup. Could never get her to wear well; car would go to batshit loose at the end of run. This led to an overdrive out of T2 on really worn tires w/ about 15 to go causing some pretty heavy damage which really made the loose problem even worse. In an effort to stay on lead lap, I got busted for speed in the pits. Had a good time despite the crappy finish. The car was good for 8th thru 12th which was my spot until I overdrove her. Nice racing gang. Tim, sorry to see your circumstances.

Xavier and I had a little side contact in a turn, but we were able to hold it steady. No harm no foul. My car would not turn tonight. I used a set up that Lilley sent to me. It worked good in practice, but the track was different at race time. I had long let-offs waiting for my car to nose into the turn. I turned too quickly once and the back end came around and I spun out, but luckily I did hit anything. I spun out two other times with a little help from behind. I think my speed in the turns was too slow due to my car not wanting to grip and turn, which resulted in getting in the way of faster cars. I tried to keep my car to the outside whenever a faster car came up. It got a little hairy at times when it got three wide with me in the middle and my car feeling loose. I think I managed to hold my line. I had a little victory towards the end when I passed a couple cars, which I am sure had worn tires and I had fresh tires. I finished 6 laps down, but I finished 18th, the last of the cars still rolling. Another race under the belt!

My apologies to Chris Geraci, David Anderson, Tim Collier, Ron Coles, and anyone else affected by my self spin. No excuses, I simply turned the car around.

I couldn't have been more pissed off last night.
Not because of the incident with Tim, but because my computer froze up during that first yellow shortly after I left the pits. After that, there was no getting back in. I easily put in over 500 laps of practice on this race, and was really looking forward to it. It's been years since my computer has frozen up on me...and then of all times for it to act up.
It's a good thing I had the Mythbusters MacGyver special to help take my mind off the frustration.

Was mediocre at best...needed long green runs to make up any ground at all. Computer decided to put me out of my misery with the screen simply going black - game still urnning, everything working, but no video at all. Steered car into the wall as quickly as I could, hoping I avoided anyone around me...tried to escape out, but couldn't see the "exit to monitor" button until the picture restored itself in about 30 seconds. Apologies to anyone affected.

At least I did get to watch some really good racing from the grandstands. Mark, Joe, Garry and others had a heckuva battle over that long green run. And the finish....well, can't add to that! Good racing, folks. At least there was one exciting race in California this week!

I had a fun race, but got a bogus penalty at the last restart. Not sure where I finished but I know I was on the lead lap. It appears by that photo that I finished 8th without bogus penalty. Not bad.

Had a good time last night.I want to say sorry to Kurt for Plowing into him coming out of 2.When It happen I was like no way!I was letting up at the appex to get a clean run on you after mike passing you,and it was like you came to a stop i tryed to go up but ran into you a ton.After looking at the replay I see that Sam had got a littel loose on the out side and when he exited the turn it looks like it got you off your gas?So sorry for the Hit!I bet you think iam after you but iam not Kurt.I know you have a diff braking line then me,But i still seem to get into every now and then.Ill try and be more carful around you.My Bad!!
