Good race, guys, thanks!

Kudos to the IROC drivers for bringing the beast home!

I always assumed the RSR had a power advantage over the IROC, but it doesn't- I got smoked on the straights more than once, but made up lots of time in the corners.

Had a great time pacing Tommy in an IROC, gaining slowly and losing a bit to mistakes, then making it back up again. Did some serious wear on my fronts in the beginning, then got same space due to other incidents and was able to manage the fronts for the finish.

See you for the season opener in a couple of weeks!

Great race, And my first ever win!! It was intense the whole race and I was able to be in the right place at the right time when I got P1 and I don't know how I was able to keep it together to bring it over the line in 1st. Looking forward to the season!

Congratulations to Sheldon for the win. I watched you race the entire last half of the race and you did a great job - very consistent.

Unfortunately for me, on lap 14 or 15 I went off (out of P1 mind you) and couldn't steer it out of the tire wall. My engine died - game over for me. It sucks because I think I could have given Sheldon a good run for first if I could just keep the darn thing on the track at the right spots.

I think the Widebody is my new favorite car, and I love Mosport. Always have, and this version is superb.

Great race guys. I qual'd fourth and finished 4th. I gained a few spots on the start and got up to 2nd place. I followed Pete for a while. Thru out the race I battled Jason, Rick, Pete and Hutch. Like everyone else, had a few offs, but luckily I never damaged the car. We'll see everybody in a few weeks.

Where to begin. Shocked at how much went surprisingly right. Not at all shocked how everything went completely downhill at the end.

Qual - Somehow, I pulled off a P2. Dumb luck since there were others running 1-2 secs faster than me in practice. I finally nailed a barely-sub-130 to get it. Yikes!

Race - Launch couldn't have been better (thank you clutch pedal). Got off the line and just grabbed P1. Held on to it for nearly half the race too, always 1-2 secs ahead of P2 (Bryce for most of it, I think).

Most consistent driving I've had in a long time. And in a Porsche no less. I could have sworn I hated these things. Unfortunately it all had to go to hell sometime. Ran up on a lapped car. John, it turns out, was damaged and off pace. I thoroughly misjudged this, and when he braked very very early to handle the right-right hairpin, I ran out of braking distance myself and rear-ended him. Caused a big wobble which he looked about to correct, but the grip gremlins appeared to swing him back into my path and I tapped him again, right into the sand. John, I am so sorry that happened. I didn't expect that early braking and I just ended up with nowhere to go but into your bumper. =(

Later got P1 back when Jason had his race-ending shunt, but it didn't last long. Had my own shunt in one of the fast right sweepers. Tail got out as I usually do there, but the grip came back like I hadn't seen before all race. I speared across the track and nailed the wall head on. Big damage. Splitter gone. Suspension a little bent. After that, I had no more oversteer. Just massive understeer. And kept going off over the crests of the left sweepers.

Finished 7th with a very badly bent car.

Was enormous fun for the many laps it all went right.

I take back (almost) everything I said against these cars. Turned out my practice times were right on the money. I was sure I would be the dog of the race.

This was a fun race, enjoyed driving the widebodies more than I thought I would, love the sounds. Mosport is always a fun track to drive and this version was well done!

My first NASRL race with this group, great times! :-)

At the last min (ok last 10 min) i decided to switch to the IROC. With little practice, but i had a deceint setup from the a week ago. Start was good, everyone fell into place and we were off. Then a few laps later i missed the first downhill drop and my rear tires cought the painted curb, and around she went. I hit the front pretty hard, and since it was so early in the race i went into the pits and had the car fixed. That only took 116 sec..LOL so no chance to place well, but still 20 solid mins left of fun driving! :-) I came back out on the track right in the mix, i tried to make it easy for the guys racing for position to get around me, and the rest was just fun driving that old beast!

That was cool, I had spent 0 time in teh P&G Porkas prior to this, so it was nice to get to drive them.

Thought I would explain myself a little, I got on the server with a Widebody about 30 min before Qual to start practicing, and in about 15 minutes could run 28.4's or so (full fuel), so thought I'd drop out and rejoin with an IROC to see the diff. That's when Rick joined in a WB and was doing low 28's pretty quickly, so I invited him to come join me in an IROC just to make it (the field) more interesting. He certainly didn't have to, and the joke ended up being on me as I could not run 30's in the IROC, while he could! :-)
And then Peeler did the same too (the only other person to register a 28 in pre-race practice), certainly didn't have to Mark, but nice of you.

I lost out at a very crowded start with a closely spaced grid, and lost touch with the lead group quickly.
While keeping an eye on Kolar late in the race, who was eating away at the gap behind me, I came up on lapping John, and also ended up hitting him from behind. Sorry John, I certainly did account for a big speed difference, but your tight line, abnormally early brakes and corner speed thru the last right hand sweeper was a complete surprise! It just seems so very hard to predict where you will be or what you will be doing at any given time, but I guess I should have left even more of a buffer.

So after that off + damage I lost the position to Kolar, never to regain it, not for the lack of trying :P

Can't wait for the mid-season spec race now!

I could swear we had 14 cars in that race, the result show only 12?

I think it was 13- Tim said the results import showed John wasn't registered, so he was dropped from the results. Is that the case John?
