FBMW: Trois-Rivieres

Fun race. Didn't practice qually at all so didn't know what to expect, so I was suprised to go 0.5 quicker than my PB to grab pole from Jack. The first half of the race was pretty much about holding him behind and not making mistakes. My car was quicker than his on the straights which made that reletively easy. Had a few dodgy moments with Brian Craig who I seemed to lap every other lap and always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but in the end traffic worked in my favour and I was able to gap Jack after he made a few mistakes. Pretty much just controlled the gap at 4 seconds until the finish.

Its nice to finally get another FBMW win, its been a while. If I want to catch Jack in the championship I've got to do well over these next two rounds, which unfortunatley are tracks I hate... oh well :-(

I think Scott summed that up pretty well. Had a nice car with what looked like a bit too much wing for the race, so Scott was quicker down the straight's but i pretty much made it up in 1 and 2 and the first few laps we sere about 4-6 tenth's apart. Then i lost out a bit to the lapper's and had to overdrive a bit to try to make up the time and that led to me making a couple of errors so Scott ended up with a comfy gap like he said.

Glad to get out of there with no wall related injuries though :D

Great race guys I got a good start no dramas I knew the 2 in front were quicker so settled into rhythm until lost concentration on around lap 14 and forgot to brake after back straight lucky for me there was an escape road rejoined in front of Roy, I chased down Sam Michaels but he was pushing hard due to been held up by a lapped car, he lost control on 1st corner on lap 19 he bounced of the wall into me and Roy was unable to avoid big crash although my car was banged up I was able to hold onto 3rd thanks to all

Note: thanks to Most of the guys been lapped they were great but 1 or 2 seem unaware of leaders which may have cost Sam Michaels a 3rd place

Deliberately started at the back this week, as last week's mid-pack start didn't go well. Turns out I was quite wise to do so - on the first lap there was a big crash into T3, but I was able to nip past the carnage and gain several positions. It also meant I had no-one immediately behind me for a few laps, so I was able to settle into the race. Got down into the 1:08s on lap four.

Then my (weekly) noob moment. Lap 6 - Despite having no-one pressing me, I decided in the middle of the race to try a different line through one of the corners - take it a bit tighter to get a faster exit. Crunch. Suspension damage. Pit stop needed. Lost oodles of time (eighty-seven seconds in total). Idiot.

That I was able to salvage an 8th place finish after that is a bit of a miracle. No more mistakes were made, granted, but my positional gains were mainly down to others crashing out ahead of me. I did chase Simon Melhuish down throughout the second half of the race until he ran off-course. This coincided with others dropping out, and I moved from 12th to 8th in one lap! And that is where I finished, for my first points of the season.

Best race of the season so far for me. Now for Mid-Ohio... :)

Glad not to see a biggie in turn one, then turn three claims it victims as seen in the piccie.

Had settled for a low top ten finish until the crash late on promoted me to a probably undeserved fifth.

Jack and Scott class of the field will be interesting to see who takes the title.

Apologies again for not spelling out all the rules before qual, I have noted for next week.

I can't say much about this race. I somewhow expected a crash in this narrow track with all those walls, but I actually met the walls twice making me pit for a long time each. Besides, in the first pitstop I was surprised to see that some other driver was also pitting... in my same spot!! It was taking too long so I tried to pass and go for another lap, but the moment I touched the pitstop red zone, my team began to work in the car.

Finally I could keep my qualy spot, so I guess it's not that bad.

One of those races for me, i took it easy on lap 1 and a car tried dive bombing in t3 so i went wide to give him room. This resulted in me running wide and as i came around a black car was stuck in the wall as you can see in Francisco's picture :D

So i hand to pit to fix my steering which pit me a lap down, about mid was i hit a stationary car that was sat on a blind turn so couldn't avoid him.

After the contact my car was messed up and fish tailing under brakes which resulted in me over shooting turn 4. This lost me
8th place :(

Other than that im happy with finishing and being in top 10 :P

Lol Simon,yeh that was me in the wall in my lil black car courtesy of some early braking on my part & late braking on my pursuers part-was trying to be a little cautious on the opening lap & got bit-not to worry,always next week.

PS.Those young wipper snappers at the front are certainly in a class of their own,grats to the podium
