FBMW: Dijon

What a race! Didn't match my sub 20 lap in qually, but just got 2nd place.

Expected a very bad start due to my gearing, but I actually got ahead before T1.
After that it was 22 laps of very close fighting with Wyatt. Almost every lap we overtook eachother on the straight. It was mental :D.
In the end we finished 0:00.042 apart :O

Congrats to the podium and thanks Nick for fixing the DQ issue.

My story seems to repeat over and over again. Got 11th place at qualy (Jack was put behind 10 spots, so I gained one more position in grid). But this is not such a good thing for me, as I tend to take it easy in the first lap to avoid punts, so I end up 15th at the end of lap one.

I found I had a faster pace than some of the guys in front, so I was catching up until I had a crash with D. Bullet when trying to overtake him inside on T4 (L2). E. Trainer could not avoid my car and hit me putting me back into gear. Sorry Ed.

Then, as the car was not too badly damaged I decided to go on without pitting until in L5 I had another crash with D. Bullet when he cut in after going wide in T4 and I was passing inside(again).

With suspension damaged I tried to pit this time but missed the entrance, so I kept on driving till I couldn't handle the car and finally had to pit. It was a 107 secs pitstop, so that finally put me at the back again.

Well first of all can I say a big thankyou to you all for bearing with us whilst we sorted the issues with the DQ. Really pleased to see no one left at all. Big thanks to Tim for helping us out to get the race on.

Had a great early battle at one point three wide down the front straight with Dave and Jack. Got a little brave down the inside next lap drafting past Jack and span off, couple of dodgy laps then found me down in the low top ten.

But decided I had not got it sorted to screw up so set about catching the guys in front, managed to nab a couple to make it up to 7th in the end, which I would probably have settled for without making several mistakes.

Seems again to have been a pretty good race for most, and hope we get a quiet race in next week with no server issues :-]

well I knew I was destined to finish 2nd having not enough speed where it mattered most (the straightaway) and getting passed on the straight every lap lol. Good race though

Good race for me (although the 11th place usually wouldn't make me very happy).

I've managed to get myself involved in a lot of action and had a couple of good battles. First one was a bit unlucky for Nick, as I refused to admit that he had a better, faster line and I should've let him go this time; my misjudgment ended in me dive-bombing him. Once again - sorry.

Defending 11th place against Dennis' attack was also great. He was much faster on the long straight so he got ahead of me, but he was on the inside of the corner - he could've easily put me out of track the same way I did Nick, but obviously he's much better driver than me :) He started to break a little early, I made sure I started to break a little later than usual and, luckily for me, I came on top out the T1 and managed to escape in the series of turns which followed :)

On the downside - had some PC issues (probably Steam running in the background) which caused a couple of loooooooong freezes during the race - not fun as it made me spin 2 times and caused me to loose T10 position.

Most probably I won't be able to make it next week, so see you all in 2.

Actually Francisco, I was responsible for Ed going into you--sorry to both of you and Riley as well. A spin on that downhill left-hander left me facing backwards right in the middle. Couldn't clear off straight away because of the traffic going around me.

I got my punishment, wedged in between the tires and the rumble strip, 40 seconds lost getting out...

After that great opening battle with the Shark boys it all went downhill while i was chasing Steve.

I was having those freezes like Tomasz, so it was like one step forward 2 steps back for quite a few laps until it froze coming up to the uphill blind right hander where someone was parked in the middle of the track and that was race over for me, as i needed 4 minutes in the pits for repairs :(

Was fun while it lasted though.

Grats to the podium guys - awesome pace upfront.

I didn't a good qual, I had an accident in the second lap and I had to repair for 140 seconds, but I finished 6th and I started 5th.

I pushed hard in the first lap, so I was 3rd and the end of this lap. I wasn't able to follow Jeffrey anf Wyatt, they were very fast here, I was watching the gap between them and I knew that they were having a great battle, congratulations!

I had some nice battles with Bayes and Davis, but they had a problem with a lapped car so I was alone a lot of time. Bayes was very fast in last laps but I was able to keep the gap, so I finished 3rd. Nice race Bayes, that incident with lapped car was a pity, I'm sure we would have a greater battle.

Qualified 5th,started 4th & finished 5th-was able to dodge a few bullets today which is a nice change from the last couple of races so all in all not to bad.Thanks Nick for fixing the early problems.Congrats to the podium & Team Shark.Cya all next week.
