FBMW: Snetterton

Congrats to podium.

What a good race it was for me today. I qualified 16th :( but by the end of the first lap I was running 11th. Then some mates must've had trouble or had to retire 'cause I quickly went up to 8th spot.

Since then it was a hard job to try to keep my position with many fast drivers coming behind. I finally only lost 2 positions and finished 10th, what is a good result for me.

Thanks to everyone I fought position to, I had a good time.

See you at Brands Hatch.

Damn, I'm pretty sure I could have raced with the top 3 but I got a nasty bout of low FPS on the first lap and ended up at the back :-(

Sigh....

Very interesting battles throughout, having reviewed first few laps really don't see anything other than some good hard driving and racing incidents.

Span in the final turn for the first time ever early on then lost it onto the back straight dropping me to 17th.

Worked my way back up into the points with some good fights along the way.

Thought this would be a good drafting track and so it proved.

Onto Brands next!

Was happy with 2nd place on the grid.

Had a good start and got alongside Wyatt in T1 but noway around there :D.
Waited for the back straight and used the draft to get past under the bridge.
After a few laps I had Jack behind me and when he overtook me in T2 I had to run a bit wide, but there was no grip at all there. Car shook violently and it drifted to the grass :S.
Few laps later I was right behind Jack heading for T1 when he braked for T1. Never expected anyone to brake for that corner, and I clipped his rear and did a 720 :S. Sometimes these physics feel weirder than ever :D.

Had a 7s gap behind Wyatt and thought that it would be all over as noway of catching that. But still in around 8 laps I won 4 seconds, so I got hope again. but after the gap shrunk to 3s, he woke up again and slowly started to drive away again :D.

At some point Jack did a helmettest at the last chicane and I was in 2nd again.

So all in all result is okay-ish :P.

Yeah i did brake slightly for T1 as i felt it helped me get a better run out and helped the tyres over the race distance, so sorry if that caught you out (and Wyatt as well almost :P)

Car felt really good in race trim, and i could see from being behind Jeff and Wyatt that they were a little more shaky than me in the chicanes so i felt i could have the edge on them.

After Wyatt got passed i got through at the same spot as Jeff and slowly got onto his rear and my approach through T1 seemed to be paying off as i gained every lap until i got inside him on T2 and made the move.

After he had his spin i had Wyatt a second or so back, but i gradually pulled a gap out to around 4 seconds, when a few laps from home had a horrible stutter going into the last chicane, rolled it and ended up eating the tarmac :P - it dont taste good btw :D

got going, spun again and ended up 3 rd so all in all not too bad as i did my praccy on the wrong Snetterton haha, and karma restored for the strong move i guess :P

I was just behind Jack when he had his roll at the final chicane. It has to be said, there's something really wrong with the mod when a little bump can remove a wing, but a full roll leaves you undamaged...

My race was poor. Too slow, too many mistakes. Setting my fastest lap of the race on the final lap pretty much sums it up. I just wasn't with it at all, last night.

Witnessed first-hand some interesting defensive driving on the run to the chequered flag...

Not too bad a race for me, came in qual late so got 1 flyer lol.

My start was the usual pish and had Dave and Nick plus others all around me, got bottlenecked in the chicane on lap 1 but made it through fine. Then coming to the bombhole on the next lap, I think it was robert who ran wide out of the 1st chicane, I instinctivley went on his inside to pass but Phil decided to go inside of me lol, and 3 just doesnt go into it lol. Thought phil might of backed out but thats racing I guess. So was near the back and went on the Martin Buchan attack method (method is only to be used on permission :P) so passed a few guys then came upto Matt, he got a really bad exit out of the chicane and out of the bombhole I had him up the inside but he just swerved me to the grass lol, was pretty miffed and then to t2 I gave him a slight nudge as I braked too late but no damage was done, get in the tow and he swerves like a madman but I still slipstreamed him lol, amazing how hard some try to defend a tow :P

Got past fransico and was afetr Dave and when he spun I had a chance but then I got silly with spins and so setteld for 8th

Lol, but a fair point..thats 2 rolls i've had thats upset the car very little, but last week a tiny nudge rips the front wing off..oh well..
