Rick was just unreasonably fast in his widebody- great race man!

That was a fun race. Rick was in his own race from lap one.

I had a couple off's but I was able to make my way back up through the field and pull out a 4th. It was a good battle going on for a while with Gord, jason and myself and then Mike waltz in the iroc was in there. Those Iroc's aren't slow down the straights mike got a run out of the last turn and made me feel like I was standing still on one lap. Once I was able to break away from the group I was running in I was able to pull out some breathing room. Thanks to Mike Miller for letting me go by. I was actually hoping to run with you for a few laps since it took me for ever to actually run you down :)

Man oh man. I hate when I run out of gas. I had to wait at the start finish line for the leader to take the checkered because I had 0.2 L of fuel left. Man oh man. That sucks.

Congratulations to the podium, and great run there Sheldon - if I didn't go off on the back straight, I would have made it tougher for you, but once you passed me, I coudn't keep up with you after that.

Sorry to Gord for the tap, and especially to Mike Waltz for practically driving over your front left tire! I uploaded a picture showing me driving into you. I lost it under breaking in that turn, and ended up going too sideways and into you. I'm glad you were not killed.

Does anyone know how I can delete the picture I uploaded, and upload a different one? I can't see to find a way to remove the picture, or replace it once it's already uploaded.

I knew this was going to be a dreadful race for me, but I had no idea just how bad. I hadn't practiced nearly enough, opting to focus on the FIS Novice event. I made the arrogant assumption that after my surprisingly good performance in the 911WB at Mosport a while back, I'd be just fine at Road America.

Except, Road America *isn't* Mosport.

And the 911 isn't the same drive twice.

After barely getting home in time to hop on for a couple minutes practice before Q, I quickly found I was in sad sad shape. 5 secs off the mid pack pace, and a good 10-12 off the pole.

So, announcing that I would be a rolling chicane all race and would give everyone a free 'pass-Pete-pass', I foolishly took the grid.

Green flag, I can't see ahead of me, but there's a car not getting off the line. Turns out, I'm the last of 4 cars to get into a chain reaction of rear enders. I half spin the guy in front of me who (I only see later in the replay), gathers it up immediately and keeps going. I lost my bumper and splitter, so my horrid handling is now... well... what's a word worse than horrid? It's that. Only worse.

Not realizing that the car I hit got away, I drive around and serve a Lap 1 punt drive-through, just for good measure.

Then I try and drive a couple laps, but it's just stupid. I park it and call it a night.

Sorry for the big tap in the beginning. Hope I didn't screw anybody else's race.

No more porkas for me.

And no more no practice either.

EDIT: Oh yeah... and the other best part... my force feedback fell flat at the green. This just multiplied all my other ailments.

No problem Jason. I did almost the same thing to Gord. Just a little touch up paint required. :)
