GTx fun-run

Had a pretty good start and was able to stay in first, which made my pitstop strategy work even better.
I had Fish behind me for the whole first stint, so I had to be on my toes, as the gap was very small <2.0s .
I had a good stop and got 11s infront of Fish and could increase the gap every lap, as he pitted earlier so I was always on fresher tyres till the finish.
Thanks all for showing up :) and well done in the MC12 :)

Qualifying:
Sub par qualifying, buncha mistakes.

Race:
Even worse race. Had 5 trips to gravel, and countless small offs. Total disaster.

For some reason I was almost 1 second of my regular race pace. Combination of my sloppiness and lower FPS... Probably.

I also had totally disastrous pit-stop.

After the pit stop I chased down Kent, and got very near him, but that was it. At one point Kent lost his back end, I thought I had him, only to find out the moment he lost his back end my PC decided to stutter a bit so I lost mine beck end too. Real neat. In the end I just gave up...

Congrats Jeffrey, and podium guys. Nicely done Kent.

errr, the replay file is bad. Was hoping to watch the drama of my last lap, last couple of turns. Barry u back on the ground yet?

Well another exciting Anderstorp for me.

Qual was pretty decent for me, first laps with low fuel in the MC12 and good enough for 4th on the grid.

Had a horrible start, triple clutching it LOL but still maintained 4th into T2 where once again I went in too hot and off I went dropping back to almost last place before re-entering the track.

Once I caught back up to the Vettes it was very tough going, Bob and Dan and Darren were battling hard and the tight racing was causing them to brake so early I almost collected them a few times. Once I helped Bob off the track in the final sweeper but I waited for him to rejoin.

Finally I got by and was working hard to catch up to Sam but a few laps later I had a near disaster coming out of T2 cause a long trip through the inside grass and losing another 5 seconds to Sam. But Sam started having issues shortly after that and my 17 second gap started coming down rapidly. Next thing I know Sam is off in the banked turn and I got an easy pass for 4th.

Came out of my stop a lap down to Jeff and Fish was well up the road. After all stop were completed I found myself in 3rd somehow, but I saw the gap behind coming down at a pretty rapid pace. Soon I could see a Saleen coming and figured that had to be Enis.

Enis was having a tough time though once he got within 3 second of me he started making little errors here and there. But it was a lot of fun for a lot of laps, watching to see where he was faster and doing what I could to improve my laps to maintain the gap. Eventually he got within a second of me when I made a mistake in the final turn losing the back end. My plan was to just let Enis go by but when I looked in the mirror and saw he did the same thing I did, so I got back on it and actually gained through the lap :).

From there on, as Enis said, the battle was done.

Not a great race for me with a really poor lap 1 again :( but over all I was pretty pleased with my pace. The MC12 is a tricky car for sure, the rear end gets to wandering mid stint causing me to really concentrate so as to not lose it.
