TPSCC @ Daytona

Only finished driving my Daytona 12 Hour car at 4am, and with this at 6am it wasn't really going to work :P

Haven't raced these cars and a while....but last night was fun until I made a mistake and accidentally downshifted while trying to rest my hand, unfortunately I had Gary H. helping me with the draft for several laps and I almost took both of us out...Very sorry Gary!... Other than that I had to avoid 2 spinning cars on the banking at some point...Very fun races and very clean drivers!...

All the big teams better get to work! The SoCal team put on a display of driving/drafting talent that was downright scary. Congrats to the team on a great race.

My car was very good running alone, which was good since I couldn't get a draft going with anyone. I hoped to get a train going with Antonio and Ryan but they had a little coming-together and fell away. A little later Dennis Morissette and Barry Hedrick were catching up to me when Barry hit the safer barrier. Dennis did catch me, but we got separated by a lapped car and he never caught back up. The last 25 laps I was in cruise mode, steadily falling away from the SoCal juggernaut.

I slightly pinched Ryan into the wall early in the race. At the time I thought he got a little carried away with bump drafting, but on watching the replay, I did drift up the track on him. Glad it didn't do you any apparent harm, Ryan, but sorry anyway.

I really enjoyed the race, but I won't be doing any more of these. I'm getting old and that was just way too late for me.

BTW, racing at night was awesome! And unlike most other tracks, it didn't kill my framerates.

RaceCast still shows the server up. Anyone interested in running another this afternoon?

I had a blast even though I didn't do too well. Brought back a lot of old memories. Also a BIG thanks to my teammate Dennis for the setup. I'll figure out T2 if it kills me!

Having killed my evil twin on thursday and friday after a few friends reminded me that my rant made me look like a bedwetter and threatening to kick my ass if i followed through, i think the entrants did a great job. it was a pleasure to see some fellas i hadnt seen on the track in awhile like Dennis, Charles, Omar, and, of course, the Hendricks. i hope you guys can attend more often.

btw, Antonio is doing a great job in these.

The night race went really well. No problems at all and I will recommend to the high office more races under the lights. The attendance was very good as well. I hope to add more of these stock car races to the chapter since it looks like it will attract a good amount of peeps :)

For the race itself, as a team owner, I am quite pleased that we got the top four spots without many problems. We kept it consistent and we worked as a team to distance ourselves from the pack, but I think we could do better because the actual Daytona race will be very difficult with more cars out on track.

Expect to see a similar late night race pop up next week :)

My first plate racing in Stock car and it was cool. Socal team members dissapeared from my view in a few laps and Charles, Ryan and me were drafting till lap 7 when me and Ryan went to the grass, I think my car desestabilised because I was in the middle of a bump drafting when I am so unexperienced, and I only practised front and rear, that wasn´t your fault Ryan.
I could control my car on the grass so my race wasn´t finished, had to pit and engine was little damaged so I cruise to the finish and move to the bed

Had alotta fun and finished too! That Mopar just wouldn't give the bowtie a run as the whole SoCal team just walked away with it. After smacking the wall and getting damage, it was all I could do to push team mate Dennis around and try to keep him on the lead lap...1 lap to go and the leaders got around him :-( Still had fun and have to say that the new patches were very much improved and will be back cause of it. Thanks and congrats Fish Guy!
