Vertigo: Donington

Qualifying was a mess. Never managed one clean lap.

A driver ran off at the old hairpin and lost all his speed and as I caught him he just kept going forcing me to overtake off line and lose time. Your lap was already ruined, why?

I then went off next lap. I then caught the same driver as before and had to back off.

I then caught the same driver again as he seemed to abort or misjudge his braking point at chicane and near stopped blocking me again.

I backed off for one final attempt and the same driver ruined it again by spinning right in the middle of the chicane. I was a bit wound up by it all.

Race went ok. Managed to jump Jon off the line.

Was holding Joco for a while only to make a mistake to allow Jon passed.

Jon then caught and passed Joco and I managed to catch up shortly afterwards.

Had a few looks to pass Joco but was very nervous with his blocking. On a couple of occasions at the very last second he would move suddenly into my path.

After that I could make no impact on Jon ahead. Jefferey had alredy opened up a gap and was out of sight.

Well done guys on a shark 1-2-3.

I was a bit gutted with my Qually performance, was over 1s slower than PB but started 4th after one of the S.Michaels dropped out. Once the race had settled it went well for me. I was in 5th following BK for a good few laps and this helped get me into a rhythym. I was lucky to pass BK as he made a slight error and went onto the grass which allowed me to get past then shortly after Enis went off at the old hairpin so was upto 3rd without having to do anything. Joco was next and I able to get past going around the outside/inside into Mcleans. Jeff was about 7s ahead at this point and he finished about 6.5s ahead at the end. Was abit of boring finish but I'm not complaining. After qually/practice I just couldn't work out where I was losing time. Nice race all.

I qualified 2nd, was looking forward to the race, but then me and Sam both discoed with a connection burp right at the end of warmup. Oh well....

Qualifying:
Qualified 3rd, with a decent time.

Race:
Race started OK, was able to tail Jeffrey in first 2 laps, then he slowly started to go away from me. Knew I won't be able to match him, hence I didn't even want to try.

Went a bit wide exiting "Old Hairpin", rear wheel clipped the edge of the kerb and had to save it. Dropped from 2nd to 5th, shame.

Spent rest of the race chasing Brian, was constantly within 2 seconds, but difference between our lap times was too small.

Finished 4th in the end.

Just as Jon I was slower than my PB, but still a pole.
Because a very very long 1st gear I had to fully rev the car and keep my foot down all the way through untill T1. I could just keep Enis behind who was very fair and didn't do a do or die move :)

First few laps were very close with Enis right on my tail, so it was a shame he went off.
After that race was boring with regards to fights, but still had to concentrate not to mess up.

P.S I told you Joco that racepace was 1:32.6 :P.

I maybe should not put such remarks within my race report but I'm not in the slightest happy about the situation.

I previously had a run in with the driver involved and I put my hands up and apologised. It was my fault at another race.

He had a right moan, made some bitter comments, posted up screenshots to highlight the incident and was downright rude over it.

I took it on the chin and knew it was me in the wrong but the antics afterwards were wrong.

Again tonight I've raced very fair and did nothing wrong. I've made a few fair attempts to pass and I'm sure you will see why the accident took place. Not my fault.

The worst thing was he still feels the need to make bitter and rude remarks at me after the race and try to blame me.

In my defence he made remarks to me in public that I feel the need to defend myself over, by replying in pubic to the ones in the race.

That was a very messy situation... Just a bit before the turn I used "look back" button to see where you were and I thought I'm safe to maneuver and defend the position. But in 2 seconds or so your nose just overlapped a bit with my rear end :/

From behind my wheel I had a feeling like you didn't slow down enough and bump me under the wing, and I was wrong since I was the one who ran into you...

Sorry for the comment I posted in post-race chat;"Brian that sucked", it really seemed to me I didn't do anything wrong :/

It was a racing incident, but unfortunately I spun bad after that bump and Sam hit me too... Real sorry for that.

Depressing race really.

Two double downshifts in the opening laps pretty messed up my race. It dropped me after a good start back from 6th to 10th. Managed to work my way up to 7th almost catching Borut again and managing to keep Sam behind me. Grats to the podium.
