GDC: Autobahn

Here's an idea for the next event. Winner starts in the back for the next race. That would make it alot of fun. By the way, that was alot of fun. Thanks to all.

I definitely like the idea of reversing the feild for the next race.
The one thing that I learned tonight was that I watch my mirrors way too much!
And I DON'T like turn 9!
Maybe that's two things.
Otherwise it was fun running with you guys.

How about inverting the race halfway, in addtition to the start?

The one suggestion we will implement for sure is that you can not lead more than two laps. EXCEPTION: If you are leading on the white flag lap, you do not need to give up the spot.

I am ecstatic with how well things went tonight. Way better than I ever imagined for a first time out. Great courtesy and a lot of learning going on.

One thing - You guys should feel free to chat on TS during the counted lap session, it is not a problem with this series. If it is clean, let it fly.

Next event, I will not do anyone any favors by waiting up for them, I think I did more harm trying to help than good. First time I had ever lapped here and it showed. Heck, I did not even known there was an advanced trainer. Geez.

Autobahn North next week then maybe Putman the week after.

I enjoyed my very first event :) frendly atmosphere everybody trying to be gentle, helpful. I'm a bit shy using teamspeak. English is not my native language. It would good if we can see Who's talking. I don't have speech recognition software installed in my brain :)

Glad you enjoyed it. The only way I can think of, using a single computer, is to run rF in window mode such that you can see TS at the same time. You can set that up using the rF config found in the root level rF folder.

As for the language, when you are comfortable, speak up. The important part is that you have fun.

Sorry I didn't attend last night. Was wiped out after a grueling Monday. Sounds like it was a good first showing though. =)

Along the lines of the field invert suggestion...

In LoPeN, we'll often call a full course yellow one or more times per race in order to bring the field back together. As everyone is regrouping, you reverse order. So P1 checks up at a pace car speed, then P2 pulls in line in front of P1, P3 in front of P2, and so on, until the field is completely reversed. Then, whoever is in charge simply calls green flag and everyone goes back to racing. It's a handy format.
